It had been a week since Sora had received her first love letter, and everyday like clockwork, before her first class she would find another letter taped to her locker door.
As each day went by, she would find herself falling more and more in love with this 'mystery man'.
She decided to talk to Kari about it one day. "Hey Kari,"she says to the younger girl, "Can I talk to you for a moment?"
"Sure." she replies."What’s up, Sora?" She asks her old friend.
"Listen, I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind reading this letter." she says nervously.
"Sure." Kari replies.
Kari then proceeds to read the first love letter Sora had been sent. When she was finished all she could say is, "Wow."
Sora then says, "I think I have a good idea whose been sending them."
Kari then looks at her and says, "Two questions, 1)What do you mean them? And 2)Who do you think it is?"
Sora looked at her and says, "Well, every morning for the past week, I’ve found these love letters taped to my locker door, and to answer who do I think it is? I think its Davis, and actually, truth be told, I hope it is him."
"But Sora," Kari says, "Davis has never been romantic, and how do you know it isn’t someone else?"
"Well, Kari, he dwelled on the terms courage and friendship, and who are the three people who have those crests?"
"Davis, Matt & Tai." Kari replies.
"Well, Kari," Sora continues, "Matt broke up with me and is seeing Yolei.
"Oh, yeah, don’t remind me." Kari exclaims.
"Tai is seeing Jun, and Davis has both crests and is seeing no one."
"Well," Kari says, "seeing as you like him so much best of luck to you, girlfriend, besides crazier stuff has happened before."
"Thanks Kari." Sora says, and proceeds to leave.
Meanwhile, at Davis’s apartment, Davis was busy taking steps to finish his plans for the greatest evening ever for himself and a certain redhead.
He had purchased two tickets to heart in concert, which happened to be in town performing, and with secret help from Mimi, had found out Sora is crazy about that band & a reservation at one of the few steakhouses in all of Japan, plus, a little expensive something to top off the evening.
Now all he had to do is come up with secret way to invite her out on this date. Thanks to Ken, Davis is positive she is single.
"I got it!" He exclaims. He then proceeds to dial the local florist, which fortunately for him is not Sora’s family’s shop.
Later, after school, a flower deliveryman approaches Sora and asks her, "Excuse me, miss, is your name Sora?"
"Why, yes it is," she replies.
He then says, "I was instructed to give you these and this." He proceeds to hand her a dozen of the rarest flowers money can buy and an all too familiar envelope, which the letter inside stated the following,
Dear Sora, the time has come for me to reveal myself to you. Meet me at 1245 east postal street, at 5:00 p.m. tonight, I promise you won’t be disappointed. Love, anonymous. P.S. please come as you are.
Sora questioned why he would want her to come as she is, she then wondered what time it was, she looked at her watch, and exclaimed, "Oh, shit, its 4:30 now, I’ll never make it in time!"
"Excuse me, miss, I was also instructed to give you a ride to your destination." The florist says to her.
Sora then says, "Would you? Oh, thank you, Where is your car?"
"Right this way miss." He says as he leads her to a limo. He looks at her,and sheepishly says, "I’m also a limo driver, hop in."
She proceeds to get in and ride to her destination. When she got there she was shocked as hell to find out that it’s the most expensive restaurant in the odaiba district.
She the got out of the limo and went inside.A million things were running through her mind right then, until, her train of thought was interrupted, by a waiter asking, "Excuse me madaam, are you Sora?"
"Yes I am." she replies.
"Right this way." the waiter says to her.
She was led to a table where she was hit by the shock of a lifetime, "Davis!" She exclaims.
A/N: Bum-Bum-Bum, Cliffhanger ending, eh? Lets just say thing can only get better from here. And how will Sora take the fact that Davis is in love with her? You’ll just have to read chapter three to find out. Please review, and until next time, in the words of the great Martin Lawrence “ I’m gonna ride this mutha fucka till’ the wheels fall off”. This is the ‘Don Of Daiora’ signing out.
