Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Soccer star ❯ Sarimon ( Chapter 4 )
Chapter Four - Sarimon
Today I saw my hero fall apart,
the one who taught me to be strong,
on the outside I look fine,
but on the inside I am dying
my strength has overcome my pain
my love for you remains the same
the loneliness is setting in
I have no one to free my sins
It's never too late to live your life,
the time is now, it's do or die
it's never too late to live your life,
the time is now, it's yours and mine
Davis listened to the song as his son slept in the seat beside him. They had finished filling out the paperwork finalizing his trade to the new team. He had wanted to be on a different team, but he didn't want to be in Heighten View Terrace, which is where the apartment he was provided with at. He and his son liked it; Davis was just worried about the Chosen Children and their new policy. He still liked them, just not their beliefs, 'it seems the whole world is separated by fucking beliefs.' Davis thought.
He sighed as he pulled into the parking garage of his apartment. He opened the door of his car and quietly shut it, trying not to wake his son. He crept to the other door and opened it, unbuckling the seatbelt, and picked Andy up. He carried him to the elevator and into the apartment. Davis walked into the smaller bedroom, setting the boy down he pulled the covers up and left, flicking the light off as he did. He pulled the door almost shut, but not quite.
The next day would be Sunday, Davis walked into his room and toward the shower. He removed his shirt and tossed it to the side; he leaned in and turned the water on. He let it run as he walked to the mirror. He stared at himself while he leaned on the counter. He turned and finished removing his clothes; he stepped in the shower and pulled the lever as water sprung from the showerhead. The warmth ran over his body as he put his hands forward and leaned against the wall. His eyes looked distant and sad, as if he were at a funeral.
He looked up to the ceiling, 'where are you when I need you baby, I- I can't do this alone. I've tried, hell I'm the goddamn savior of this fucking world and I can't handle this, heh, I guess it was you that completed me. I miss you so much, Erica, I wish I could join you, but I can't leave this world yet. Please just give me strength to get though this, I-I need it.' The music in the background faded in as he just let the water soak his body.
Later on....
Davis climbed out of the shower, putting a towel on his waist he walked out of the bathroom and into his closet. When he stepped out he wore loose black pants and an open black sparing shirt with a yellow sash. He pulled an object from the top of the doorframe inside the closet. Slipping it between himself and the sash he walked out of the closet and to the desk, he picked up the D-3 on it and activated it. The light flashed as he was sucked in and sent to the Digital world.
When he re-materialized, he did so landing perfectly on his feet. He pulled his sunglasses on and began moving. He moved so fast it was hard for anything that saw him to keep up. Soon, he sensed his other's presence; his feet were already headed there before his mind could react.
Once he was in hearing distance he slowed to a walk, Yashamon was already waiting for Davis. Yashamon a white mask that only showed his yellow eyes, tow horns made their way at the top of the mask, his muscles bulged, he had fiery red hair. His normal white shirt was off, as well as his wooden hand shields. His wooden kendo type sticks were replaced with two metallic swords. One bore the crest of courage and one the crest of miracles. Scars cover his chest and back.
He jumped down from his perch in the tree above Davis. His swords were drawn. In the flash of an eye Davis countered the act and put his sword that once rested at his side, in the air horizontally. Both of Yashamon's blades were deflected, Yashamon jumped back and then jumped straight for Davis, Davis swung his blade swiftly, but Yashamon caught it with his blade before it connected.
For anyone else watching the two were moving at an incredible rate of speed. The sound of metal hitting metal and the sound of swords moving through the air swiftly filled the forest. In Davis' eyes everything was moving in slow motion. He acted almost as if he had a sixth sense, as if he knew all of his partner's moves before he made them. Davis rapidly deflected all of the hits that came toward him. Finally Davis began to go on the offensive, quickly he moved towards his opponent, their blades clashed as they tried every which way to better the other. Davis jumped forward, but at the last second dashed to the left, used his feet to push himself off a tree, he ended up behind Yashamon. Before the other had a chance to turn Davis had his blade at the back of his neck.
"Heh, well it looks like you're getting better, my friend."
"You too, you've actually been able to keep in your champion form for awhile. I'm proud." Yashamon Devolved to his alternate form of Sarimon.
(Saa-re-mon) {Made-up}
Sarimon was a more human like Digimon. He wore blue jeans, normal shoes, a white tank top. He had the same tanned skin a Daisuke. His hair was also fiery red, his eyes were frighteningly pure black, but his sunglasses cover them.
"Well, lets go, it's late Davis." Sarimon said in his deep voice.
"Right, come on." They dashed back toward the direction Davis came from.
After about five minutes of running Davis and Sarimon reached where they were going. Davis pulled his D-3 out and again activated it, the light overcame them and pulled them into it. They once again returned home. Once the light faded Davis walked to his closet replacing the sword from whence it came. He untied his sash and removed the shirt. After strewing it aside he walked back his bed and fell on it, almost dead to the world before he even hit it.
"Night Sar." Sarimon smiled and walked out of the room. He went and laid down on the couch and closed his eyes.
The next morning...
Sarimon was already up and helping Andy get ready for school when Davis alarm went off, with his head under a pillow Davis, using his balled up fist, shut the annoying alarm up. Sarimon walked in and laughed at the site of Davis cramming a pillow over his head.
"Don't worry, I'll take Andrew out for a day of fun, Davis. Remember you need your strength, especially if you plan to confront the other Chosen Children.

If you're thinking about what the significance of the song meant it was...
Today I saw my hero fall apart,
the one who taught me to be strong,
on the outside I look fine,
but on the inside I am dying
Why does that sound familiar? Maybe oh, say Tai and Davis. And etc, etc, etc, now I gotta go to sleep.
