The bullet train was only halfway from Kyoto, and Takeru "TK" Takaishi wished he was already there. There was loud music coming from Matt's bedroom, so TK walked over and found the door open a crack. Suddenly, he froze in place. He heard Matt's voice and someone else's, but just barely over the music. That sounds like Kari, he thought as he crept to the door. Back on the train, TK noticed that Matt hadn't come back yet from the restroom. It wouldn't have bothered him as much if he hadn't also realized that Kari wasn't in her seat, either. Imagining what they were probably doing in the bathroom at that moment, he grew sick in his stomach.

Sora, who sat next to him, noticed the foul look on TK's face, and figured what he was thinking of. "TK, are you okay?"

TK looked at her, startled by her voice. "Yeah, I guess. Maybe my stomach isn't agreeing with that apple I just ate."

Sora saw through the lie, but forced herself to smile. "I'll get you some diet soda. That always settles my stomach like that." Not waiting for an answer, she got up and headed for the dining car. Sora nodded and faced the group. "This is Davis, Ken, Mimi, Tai, his sister Kari, Matt, and his brother TK."

They were soon led down the hall to their rooms. "We've kept four rooms open for you," Urara said with a smile as she gave Sora the eight keys to the rooms. "The springs are open until midnight, so make sure you're not in them when we lock up for the night."
