Disclaimer: I don't own digimon

I thought about and I thought about it... I decided to make this a short Taito chapter! Why? I finished reading a bunch of good Taito fics, including a fic called Sink or Swim by KoNy The Half-Wit. It was soo good that I decided to make this chapter completely Taito ^_^

Take a Turn
... Were Are We?

By now Matt was in a state of confusion. So many things were happening. The base was defeated, not hearing from them, Mimi going to search... and plaguing his mind the most was Tai.

It was a matter of disbelief over the situation. He was more than hoping Tai did have those same feelings for him. More than hoped. If only Sora or TK were here, they could give him advice. Not that he'd ask, of course, but he knew they'd figure it out eventually and offer advice.

Thinking of TK caused him to frown. Where was that brother of his? He suddenly felt afraid for his brother. Why did he have to keep saving the world? It just wasn't fair! It had occurred to him many times before this, way back in time when he himself was in the Digital World, trying to fit in and help it somehow, but causing problems instead.

Every night, while in the Digital World, he thought how unfair it was that they sent a bunch of kids to save the world. Why was that? He always felt somewhat unworthy of his crest and thought it was dumb that young preteens had to save the world.

Tai walked past Matt and over to Izzy's computer, asking, "Have you heard from them yet?"

"For the tenth time, Tai, no."

"Like I said before, we should go to the Digital World and do things our way," Matt said, also walking to Izzy's computer.

"And like I said before, we can't because we need the newer Digidestined to open the gate for us!" Tai yelled.

Before Matt couple reply, Tai went on.

"And if you weren't so impatient, we could give time to Mimi to go find them because for some stupid reason they won't contact us!"

"Has it run through your mind they could be hurt? Or is your skull to thick to understand that?!" Matt snapped.

"Why are you being so... so... ugh, I can't even think of the word!"

Matt rolled his eyes and turned away. "Every time something has to do with the Digital World, you get all 'macho'."

"Someone has to since you're a fag."

Nobody moved after that was said, until Izzy slowly began packing his lap top into it's case, not wanting to be in the middle of this. Tai turned away from Matt, refusing to take back what he said.

As Izzy walked away, he said, "You guys better not be too loud, or you'll wake Mr Ishida."

Another moment of silence past with both teens having their backs turned to one another. Finally, Matt broke the bitter silence.

"You kissed me. I didn't kiss you."

"I--I-- I just wanted to see what it was like."

"Whatever."

Tai sighed and walked in front of Matt, and Matt responded by refusing to meet with Tai's eyes. Tai took a hold of Matt by the shoulders, forcing him to look at him.

"I didn't mean that."

"It's nice to know what my best friend really thinks of me--"

"Matt, don't. I just... I don't know, I'm sorry. I can't figure this out."

"Figure what out?" asked Matt, drawing nearer to the brunette.

"You... You told me you're gay and I dunno, that just seemed to click something in my brain that made me kiss you."

"So basically the only reason why you kissed me was because of your stupid hormones?"

"No, of course not!" exclaimed Tai. His hands dropped from Matt's shoulders to his waist, drawing the blonde even closer. "It just caused me to drop the bad feelings I had about you never liking me."

"Oh Tai--"

"I'm still scared though... I didn't mean to say that comment." Tai laughed a bit. "We seem to fight a lot whenever Digiworld stuff happens."

"Yeah, but it's my fault."

"Don't worry, TK is fine."

"I want to believe that, Tai. I really do."

"I know. I'm sure we'll hear from them soon. Mimi will find them. She may be a ditz, but she will."

Matt smiled and nodded, relaxing his forehead against Tai's. Tai pulled away swiftly and leaned up, pressing his lips softly against Matt's. Matt responded quickly, allowing his hands to rest loosely on Tai's shoulders.

Tai coaxed Matt into leaning against a tree, pursuing the kiss. Matt's lips parted slightly, allowing Tai's tongue to enter and explore the depths of his mouth. Matt emitted a groan, his arms pulling Tai in closer.

"Guys! Mimi e-mailed us!" Izzy called.

Tai pulled away and took a hold of Matt's hand, smiling as he tugged him along. They made their way towards Izzy, in which he didn't look very pleased.

"It was a short message and was cut off... I think the batteries on her D-Terminal might have ran out. Maybe--"

"Izzy, what did the e-mail say?" Matt interrupted anxiously.

"Oh, right," he said, scratching the back of his head. Izzy leaned forward, beginning to read: "Guys, I just heard screaming! I'm going to check it out, but it sounded like--"

"Like?" Tai asked.

"Well that's where the e-mail cut off," the redhead explained.

"Some help that is! We don't even know where Mimi is!" Matt sighed, grumbling in frustration. "I mean why would she hear screaming? Who is screaming? From where? Isn't she in the desert?"

"Well that's where the base was... Maybe they're inside the base," said Izzy, frowning.

"Well Mimi better not get herself hurt for nothing, if they're not in there."

**~**

The fire burned steadily as a pair of blue eyes opened. They had been sitting there, for the last half an hour hoping that Mimi would e-mail them back. No such luck.

Matt leaned back, pressing his back against Tai's chest. Tai's hands entwined with Matt's, and he kissed him softly on the cheek.

"You can go to sleep if you want."

Matt shook his head and yawned. "I'm used to staying up late. It's just you're so warm..."

Tai smiled and soothed his boyfriend's eyes closed again. He glanced at Izzy, who was now rubbing his eyes, staring dully into the fire.

"If I look at that computer one more time," he mumbled. "I swear I'm going to die."

Tai laughed. "I didn't think I'd ever hear you say that."

Izzy shrugged and looked back at the the computer, silently praying for an e-mail to come from any of the Digidestined in the Digital World.

The night wore on, and nothing seemed to be happening for the three teenage boys camping. Though in the Digital World, it was quite a different story...

End of Chapter 4

Next chapter will show about why TK had to hide, who was screaming and what's happening with Kari. Also someone requested I do a Ken POV, so expect that soon...

I also realize this chapter is really short and there will be Taito lemon in the future ^_^

One more note: like I said before, this is already written on fanfiction.net up to chapter seven because I like that place better so I post more frequently there.
