Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ The 234th Precinct of Japan ❯ A Walk in the Sideway Lane ( Chapter 1 )
Since my prologue Chapter 1 was too short; I am going to make a Chapter 2… obviously, LOL, but just help me continue my digimon fanfic by reading and reviewing. I would really appreciate it. Thank you! Now enough of my blabbing nonsense; here is Chapter 2 for you.

Chapter 2: Odaiba, Japan: A Walk in the Sidewalk Lane: June 30, 2001
Six Digidestined children were walking outside of the school area. They were laughing and talking to each other as they left the computer room on the second floor. Even though summer was practically over, they decided to go to school anyway and spend their time in what they had called their "digital world". That is where they have picnics and play with their digimon that they always loved, which the children never get to see them because of doing other social things.
All of the digidestineds went to the same middle school and around the area of Odaiba, Japan. The names of the six digidestineds were Hikari Yagami, Takeru Takaishi, Daisuke Motomiya, Miyako Inoue, Iori Hida, and Ken Itchijouji plus six others from the last time they had an adventure. For right now I will stay with his or her nicknames or English translations, so everyone will be happy [Kari, TK, Davis, Yolei, Cody, and Ken]. Assuming that everyone knows all the character, we will begin the story. Everyone listed above have just graduated from eighth grade and are fourteen years old, except for Cody, who is in sixth grade is twelve years old.
Kari announced, "Hey TK, what are we going to be doing today? Aren't we planning to go to the movies?" She always flirted around TK whatever the case, and TK did the same thing to her. [Heh]. "I was hoping to see that new romance movie that just came out last Friday. What do you think?"
"Hey! Why are you asking him instead of me?" Davis answered, " I'd love to go to the movie with you, Kari! I don't think TR would do any good for you…" Davis is what Kari would call obnoxious because he would never think before he speaks. Another thing, he cannot pronounce TK's name right… He never remembers the spelling of his two-lettered abbreviated name. He is quite pitiful if you ask me. "Kari, come on… I will do everything for you even if I have to die for you. Please don't reject my request!"
Yolei, Cody, and Ken laugh hysterically with TK and Kari rolling on the ground laughing… or whatever you would call it. Cody finally spoke, "First of all Davis, you cannot even say T-K if you were to know how to spell it in order to survive from the electric chair."
Kari giggled, "Tough chance! Like I would go out with you… but maybe…" There was silence… "Some other time, Davis; I am really busy and don't have time. TK and I planned for this earlier, so maybe we can think of something later. Alright?" Kari winked at Davis. Then she and TK looked at each other behind Davis's back as if Kari was not going to think about Davis and the date.
Davis flopped downward with a sigh… I am never gonna get her, am I? Oh well… I tried…He was conspicuously separate from the crowd as his head was bent down in depression for about five to ten minutes while everyone else was chatting and laughing. Then Yolei looked back noticing Davis was still upset and final helped Davis out trying to make him happy again.
Yolei said in a soft, comforting voice away from the others, "Don't worry Davis. Next time… she will love you like there is no tomorrow. Just keep your hopes high." Then she brought him and herself back to the crowd and continued to talk on. I hope Davis is all right. He always tried all the time we were in the Digital World always following Kari. He never stops, but I know Davis will get his wish sometime…Yolei was thinking about that same thing for a while.
Ken then changed the subject of the whole conflict, " I was wondering… about death…" He kept on, " I was thinking that I would die from that dark spore that was in me when I was the Digimon Emperor. I thought it would've been so bad that I would probably succumb to it."
TK answered, "Well I don't know much about death… but then I remember what happened to you that you were in a so depressed manner that you had to have the dark spore. You may have died from the darkness inside of you, but we got that dark spore taken out of you just in time. If I were to die, I wouldn't want my parents and all my family to be sad about me being gone, that would also make me sad. Then again, I would be dead, so I don't know if I would actually be sad." TK was actually interested in the topic and kept going with Ken's conversation.
"If you were to die… I don't know what I would do. I know you wouldn't want me to be sad and all, but I would actually cry until there were no tears left in me," Kari proclaimed, "but I know this is only a hypothetical argument, so I don't know what I am thinking…"
Davis at this time was at his own little world where nothing intersects this dimension accept for his peanut buttered brain. "What I would do… is take over a raman soup cart and take over the whole world!!!" Davis was being stupid, "Then I could love Kari forever and ---"
Kari slapped him on the cheek pausing Davis' comment, "First of all, you have no idea what we were even talking about…"
Yolei continued it, "…And what's with you owning a noodle cart and conquer the world just to have Kari? That's is quite an interesting imagination you have there, buddy" She was confused on why he was saying that in the middle of talking about dead. Yet again, she thought about it with interest while going insane also.
Forgetting about what time it was and the apartment complex that just pasted by, Yolei, Cody, Kari, and TK raced back to their home realizing they just talked for about one mile's length. Davis and Ken were still walking along towards their way home. "Ken, do you have much of a problem with death?" Davis asked. It seems like he was actually listening.
"Davis??? You were really listening to our conversation? You didn't even seem you were either, but anyway, I do have a bit of a problem. It is just how you can never know what is coming for you in the future," Ken paused, "It may be like we are walking in this one second. Then suddenly a truck passed by and run us over like we are deer crossing the highway."
Davis gave this about ten seconds to inhale this into his brain. He really gave it a bit of a thought. "God forbid, Ken! Like that would really happen!" Davis looked in back and in front of him just to make sure, he sighed and took in some air and exhaled and again. "You got me there actually… but anyway, that's why life is there for you. It is for you not to worry about what is coming for you in the future but to think about what you can change right now in the present. Only God knows…or whatever you believe in, in that case… what your fate will be, but you will always be protected as long as you believe that you aren't afraid of death.
Ken replied, "Wow I never knew you were that wise. You didn't even need a dark spore to even supply some knowledge into you." He was quite amazed and saw his apartment about 3 yards away.
"Well the thing is…" Davis said, "I read off of my prayer card that was hidden in my pocket the whole time. My mother always wants me to have it just in case, you never know. Here, take a look! Oh yeah, and I have another for you. You can never be to blessed with these cards…" The card was written in Kanji, Japananese characters or
so-called letters.
Ken Eyeballed at the card as it was written exactly how Davis said it. He must have really memorized those cards or what not. "Oh now I get it…"
"You see now, don't you?" Davis was feeling proud of himself.
"No… that you were never smart in the first place, and you have to provide on other resources to act like you are smart but that you are only a jackass."
Davis' eyeballs grew bigger and he slipped and fell on the concrete hurting his head in stupidity like he never did before. "Well thanks for your psychology, Ken. Ow…Stupid headache. I am never going to fall on hard rock again…
Ken laughed, "Ay, Ay, Captain Davis! I was just joking about that comment before, but I have to go now. I see my house."
"Well… thank you for just joking I guess… my head hurts really badly now, but I guess I can forgive you…" Davis said. While he was saying this, Ken was already two miles away from him. Davis sighed. Well… I guess I am going home now! Goin' to get an icepack and sit down on the computer playing "Starcraft" He limped home saying, "Ow" all the way back and got home safely to finally play his game of Starcraft. Also, another thing… he kept looking again left and right to see if a truck would pass by.
You thought that was going to be mysterious and suspenseful didn't you?
I thought so, too. LOL.
But prepare for next time when everything WILL be serious and stuff…
Also please read and review!! I hope to see you later!
