Part 9
Whisper
Setting: Street (after the fight)

The steps of a woman and a sobbing child echoed trough the night's darkness…
~Catch me as I fall
Say you're here and it's all over now~
 
Silent tears rolled trough her face but she just keep looking forward, the kid stumbled behind her, trying to keep up to her fast pace.
“Mom… wait!” he finally fell down.
~Speaking to the atmosphere
No one's here and I fall into myself~
 
“Tezuka come on, stand up, I got no time for this” she said without looking back, and she start walking again.
~This truth drives me into madness
I know I can stop the pain if I will it all away
If I will it all away~
 
 
Tezuka just stood there, speechless
He hugged his knees and start crying again
~Don't turn away
(Don't give in to the pain) ~
 
“Mommy doesn't love me anymore... She won't read me at night...Or... hug me… mom... She... She doesn't love me” he whispered between sobs.
He knew something changed but he didn't understand the only thing he knew was that his brother won't come back and that his mother doesn't love him.
He looked up through his watering eyes.
Mom was gone.
And he looked around, it was dark...
“MOMMY!!!” he yelled as hard as his little lungs could
No answer.
~Don't try to hide
(Though they're screaming your name) ~
 
“MOMMY!!!” he yelled again
And after there was just plain silence
The creepy, breathless silence that could terrify anybody
He was lost.
~Don't close your eyes
(God knows what lies behind them)~
 
“No, no, no!” he said, he was frighten to dead
And he did whatever any 4 year old would do
Run.
He's little heart racing as hard as it could
~Don't turn out the light
(Never sleep, never die) ~
 
Where is mommy? That was the only thing in his mind, not his brother, not about if his mother loved him, just find mommy
~I'm frightened by what I see
But somehow I know that there's much more to come~
 
And after a while he stumbled exhausted at the sideway
He couldn't find mommy
~I know I can stop the pain if I will it all away

He was alone
And he did what was left to do
Cry
~Immobilized by my fear
And soon to be blinded by tears~
 
He cried until there where no more tears and he rolled up in the sideway and without wanting, he fell asleep.

The sun shone over his face and he slowly woke up but still don't wanting to open his eyes
~Don't try to hide
(Though they're screaming your name) ~
 
It was just a nightmare, when I get out of bed, my brother will be there eating breakfast and daddy reading the news as he always does…

(God knows what lies behind them) ~
 
And he dared to open his eyes
He was in a bed, but not his
He looked around scared
“Where am I?” he said echoing his thoughts
“Oh, so you wake up” a ladies voice said
The sudden voice startled him and he almost fell of the bed.
“W-who are you?” he asked once he regained his voice.
“Don't be scared, I'm Rika Hatoshi” a red-haired lady said
“A-and where am I?”
~Don't turn out the light
(Never sleep, never die) ~
 
“You are at my house, now what is your name?” She asked gently
“M-my name is Tezuka”
“Well, then nice to meet you Tezuka” she said and smiled
“Now, do you know where you live?”
Tezuka looked at here his eyes widely open
“N-no… I don't...” he said and lower his head
“And your phone number?” she asked softly
“Neither...” he said and he let out a sob “I'm-never-seeing-mommy-again” he said between sobs and tears rolled trough his cheeks.
He felt a pair of arms surround him
“Shh, it will be fine, we will find your mother” she said and raise up his chin “meanwhile you can stay with me, after all a little company will do me good”
“W-why?” he ask, his voice a little more steady
“Well, my husband had left to a better place” she said sadly
“Like daddy!” he exclaimed “But I dunno if he is better in his friend apartment.”
“Well, do you want to eat breakfast with me?” She ask kindly
“Sure! I'm starving!” he said cheerful and get off bed (how easy can somebody win the trust of a 4 year old… hehe)

Sora walked in the darkness of the night (don't get lost this is when she walk away from Tezuka) too numb to notice there were no steps behind her
She felt lifeless
She could swear her heart had stopped beating
A few blocks away from their house she heard herself thinking
I think I was a little to harsh to Tezuka…
~Fallen angels at my feet
Whispered voices at my ear~
 
“Tezuka, I'm sor- Tezuka? Tezuka where are you?!”
She looked around and only found thin air
She stared walking faster
“TEZUKA!!” she yelled but it was too late, she started running until she was where he had fallen.
There was nobody in sight
“TEZUKA!” again no answer
Tears rolled trough her cheek
“Why god, why!?”
She started running, pushed by pain
I lost everything…
And her steps guided her... not knowing she was going
And she meet with a busy driveway
What worth living like this?
The cars zooming trough the driveway
 
~Death before my eyes
Lying next to me I fear~
 
She took a step
And there was a beep…
 
A hand had grabbed her by the arm
And pulled her away
“Hey! what the hell you think you are doing!?” the young man, who grabbed her said
“You know nothing about me!! Why did you stop me!!??” she pushed him away and run.
And the young man just watch her siluette disappear into the darkness.
 
And that was the last time someone ever saw her.
