A/N: I have no idea who the blonde agent that sits with Riley is, so she has no name, and I don't remember Isagi's first name, so I'm going to make one up.

Hypnos, Sept 4. Noon…

"Report." Yamaki told his assistants.

"Other than the one Digimon from yesterday, there is nothing new and no incoming Digimon." Riley said.

"Good." Yamaki said flicking his lighter open and shut. "Digital scum. Why are they trying to enter our world?"

"Maybe they like the scenery?" A voice said. Yamaki and his assistants looked above, and saw standing on top of the mechanical double chair where his two assistants were sitting was D, holding his cane in his right hand, and a strawberry filled rice ball in his left. "Then again, it could for the rice balls." He said smiling as he took a bite.

"Who are you?" Yamaki said pissed off.

"Ever read horror books or seen the movies?" Dracula said as he looked down at Yamaki's two assistants. "You two look at bit drowsy. Why not take a little nap?" He said as his cane glowed. The next thing anybody knew, they were asleep.

"What did you do to them?!" Yamaki said pissed off.

"Chill. I just gave them a little nap." Dracula replied. "Frankly, they needed one. What, with all the hours that you put `em through." He said as he got off the device. As soon as he landed on the floor, other agents surrounded him.

"FREEZE!" One of them said.

"I can't do that pally boy. You on the other hand…" D said as his cane glowed again and suddenly, the agents and Yamaki couldn't move, save for their mouths.

"What… are… you…?" Yamaki asked, but was interrupted by D.

"I'm your normal run of the mill supernatural being that is not part of the myths of the media," D said," but I don't think that's what you met to ask me. I'm just giving your Hypnos thingy here a little virus." He then put away his rice ball, pulled out a disc, and inserted it into the machine. "Oh, in a minute, you might wanna plug your ears, but then again, you can't move for thirty minutes, so tough luck and sayonara." He said with a smirk as there was a flash and he disappeared. Two minutes later, the map of the Digiworld was replaced with a purple creature, and a hellish song that nobody will ever forget…

"I love you, you love me…"

Outside in the Sinjuku district, Dracula reappeared at an abandoned ally, finishing off his rice cake.

`Good rice ball.' He thought as he walked out onto the sidewalk. `Of course, they were better in the Maji era…' He then stopped for a minute. `Shiraga…' He thought as he walked again. `God, its almost that time… I still wonder, what would have happened if…' "OOF!" He said as he bumped into a small object that he didn't see. It looked like a ghostly pale midget in a rubber devil costume.

"HEY! Watch where ya going ya dope!" The creature said.

`A Digimon. Hmmmmmmm…' He thought. "Hey, you bumped into me moron." Dracula said trying to coax the little Digimon into telling who he is, and possibly…

"HEY! Ya talkin' to Impmon! I got more power than youz, so don't tick me off!" He said.

`Bingo.' Dracula thought. `Now to see how much power he's got.' "Yeah right, for all I know, you're really Vern Troiter in a costume."

"WHAT?!" Impmon said, furious. "I'll show you! BABOOM!" He said as he launched a fireball that barley missed D.

`…The fire launcher shall change into a monster riding a metal steed and shall emotionally destroy one of the chosen, but shall also be their salvation in their greatest time of need.' Dracula thought. `This might be him.' He then smiled. "You showed me yours," he told the little Digimon as his cane glowed bright red, "now I'll show you mine." He finished as he made a golf swinging motion for Impmon's head. "FORE!" He said as…

*WHAM*

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

…he hit Impmon, causing him to fly across town, and everyone looked at Dracula.

"What? You act like you've never seen anyone play golf before." They still looked at him. "What? He'll be fine." He said as he headed in the direction of the school.

12:10, Shinjuku Elementary…

`So this is what middle school is like for kids these days?' Dracula thought as he looked in a window and saw Takato and the others share lunches in the classroom and talked. `They have it easier than I did. Then again, the educational system was very different. I got the same amount of fighting as I did history. Most of the time, not even when the lesion called for it. God, how I had changed.' He then heard two people talking and curiosity got the better of him, especially since one of those voices sounds familiar. He then looked over and saw a man talking to a brown haired woman, who was talking about one of her students to him, namely how Takato is late most of the time. However, D wasn't paying much attention to the rest as he recognized Ms. Isagi right away, and his heart stopped.

"Rina…" He said to no one. She then looked up, but saw no one as Dracula quickly disappeared.

"I almost forgot the grades. I'll talk to you later Mr. Yoji." She said as she went into the teacher's lounge.

*************************************************************** *********

The teachers' lounge wasn't the hidden paradise, nor was it the party central, it wasn't even the resort center that we thought it was as kids where the teachers went to unwind, drink, make fun of us. No, it was a room with several desks with various graded and ungraded papers. Had a little kid come into the lounge, they would be saddened that it just looked like a bigger version of his classroom with more teachers' desks.

`Ah, good. Still here.' She thought as she went to grab them, then the door shut behind her and the lights went out.

"I've been here in Shinjuku for the last 12 years, and yet here you are. You haven't called, you haven't dropped by, you never even sent me an e-mail, and you're teaching one of the chosen children, maybe even more, right under my nose." A sudden voice said.

"W-who are you?" She said, sounding nervous, but she already recognizes the voice, even though it's been 40 years since they last saw each other.

"You don't recognize me?" The voice said. "I'm shocked. After all Rina, last time I saw you, I changed you, but the first time we met…" Before he could finish, the area around Rina Isagi lit up as Dracula stepped out of the shadows. "…you were the one who changed me." When she saw who she was, she went pale.

"YOU?!" She said. She then looked real angry, showing her fangs, and started to rush him. She would have punched him if he didn't grab her right wrist. She then tried for a left, but it was to no avail as he grabbed it too. "WHY?! Why did you do it to me?! I didn't need to feel any of it! NONE OF IT! It's been 40 years and I STILL have memories of what you did to me! WE LOVED EACH OTHER ONCE AND THAT'S HOW YOU SHOW IT, BY MAKING ME… making me…" She then broke down and started crying. His face still remained unchanged.

"I did it because I did love you. Part of me did it back then because part of me still did." He said. "But look what happened. You have a life, you're a teacher."

"I-I know, and I love it… but… you didn't have to make me..." She said sadly before being interrupted.

"I went through the same thing, remember?" He said. "And I gave you the choice, and you originally refused."

"THEN WHY DID YOU FORCE ME TO RE-LIVE MY VICTIMS' PAIN?!" She said, breaking down again, burring her head in his chest, and crying.

"Like I said, I loved you and I wanted to save you. I didn't want you go further down to hell than you were. I even wanted you to have a chance to see Heaven." He said as she looked up at him. "In all honesty, would you really want to change anything now to turn you into the person you once were?"

"No." She said with her tear stained face. "I may never want to relive what they went through, but I love my life now and I feel good teaching children." She smiled, but she still looked like she was about to cry.

"Speaking of that, I hear that you are teaching Takato." D said trying to get off topic.

"Yes, but what does that have to do with anything." Rina asked with a curious look. Dracula just gave her a look.

"What? Don't tell me you don't…" she then gave him an even more curious look. "…know, do you?" He finished. "Forget it, not important." Dracula said, lying and she knew it.

"What are you hiding Dracula?" She said with a stern look.

"Look, I don't want to worry you anymore." He said. "I already caused you pain just showing up. I'll be out of your way." He said as he was about to leave, but she grabbed her arm.

"Wait." She said. "Part of me will always be mad at what you put me through, but I'm willing to work past that. I want to talk to you again, tell you what else I've been up to these past 40 years. How about we meet again?" She asked.

"Sure." He hands her his number and address. "Give me a call when you want to." He said smiling just before leaving. As soon as he shut the door, Rina got her folder.

`Great Kami, I'm hoping to be friends with him again.' She thought. `I must be nuts. But… maybe its nice to indulge in insanity once awhile.' She thought as she left.

*************************************************************** *********

It was a couple of hours later when he got a call from one of his friends who happened to be at the club that night. He said he saw a fox Digimon and a dinosaur Digimon go at it. He left the club and ran like hell to the park, where he said they were.

`Stupid puppet master.' He thought. `Getting her Digimon into a battle because she thinks that's all they're good for. She doesn't even deserve being a Digimon Queen, just as her Digimon doesn't disserve being the most powerful one right now.' He angrily thought. `Nobody has ever heard of a powerful puppet.'

*************************************************************** *********

At the park, there was a mini war going on between two Digimon. Guilomon, who doesn't want to fight his opponent, but is seeing no choice as she won't let up. And Renamon, who wanted to fight because she wanted to be the most powerful and make her Tamer happy.

"RIKA! Call Renamon off! Guilomon doesn't want to fight!" Takato said trying to maintain peace.

"Listen to him Rika." Henry said. "This is pointless."

"Hmmmph." Rika said as Renamon delivered a massive uppercut.

"That's gotta hurt." Terriormon said.

"Terriormon!" Henry said.

"Renamon, enough of this. Finish him off." Rika said coldly.

"As you wish." Renamon replied. She was about to get up for a diamond storm, when…

*WHAM*

…a powerful hit from someone, somewhere sent her falling down hard. They all looked around wondering where it came from, when they saw, standing on the top of a dome-like structure on the nearby play ground, Dracula, holding his cane, trench coat and all.

"W-who are you?" Rika said as Renamon came to.

"A guy who thinks that your title of Digimon Queen is a fake." He said, knowing it'll make Rika angry. "More like Puppet Master. As for your Digimon, I can't make up my mind if I should call her a puppet…" He saw how angry Renamon was getting and smiled. "…or an obedient dog." Normally, Renamon would just scoff. But here was an average looking human, who just knocked her out, who not only said Rika's title was a fake, but called her a dog. So it came as no surprise to Dracula that his comment set her off.

"I'LL SHOW YOU!" Renamon said about to attack with a right hook.

"RENAMON! He's a…" Rika said, but before she could finish, Dracula used his cane to block the punch. "…human?" None of them knew what to think, for they never saw a human not only block Renamon's punch, but also hold his own as Renamon was using her arm to force Dracula to loose his balance as she puts pressure on his cane.

"That symbol on your wrist bands." He said keeping his cool, but keeping up the pressure. "You're not worthy of it."

"What?" Renamon said, holding her own and still putting pressure on the cane, but getting a little angry again.

"A puppet knows nothing about balance." He said. "It can't keep the light in check with the dark and vice versa. It can't even keep chaos in check with order. Why you're wearing it, I might never know. Why you're even trying to fight me, I'll never know."

"Are you saying you can beat me?" Renamon said.

"I don't want to toot my own horn, but yes." He said smiling. "You positive you want to find out?"

"You're just a simple human. You got lucky only because you sucker punched me." Renamon said.

"Oh no, I was stopping a pointless fight. There's a difference." He said. "Again, are you…"

"Don't ask again, I am positive I can take you on." Renamon said.

"You said it…" He said as his eyes became the darkest black Renamon has ever seen, and his pupils glowed blood red, and his fangs were exposed. "…not me." He then kicked Renamon hard in the ribs, causing her to fall back to the ground as he jumped off the structure on to the ground. The Tamers then got a better look at her assailant.

"Taktato-mon, is he another Digimon?" Guilomon asked.

"I-I'm not sure." Takato responded.

"I'm not a Digimon, but I'm not human ether." He said. "Just as she isn't the best fighter I have encountered." Pointing to a waking Renamon. Pissed off more than ever, Renamon tried a sidekick, but Dracula just moved out of the way so quickly, no one saw him.

"Where…?" She asked. Her questioned was answered when she turned around and received a jumping roundhouse kick to the face.

"A good fighter doesn't say `How high' when asked to jump, a great fighter isn't a mere puppet or an obedient dog. Just as a good Tamer realizes when a Digimon pricks their finger, it bleeds." Dracula said. Both Rika and Renamon have had enough.

"Renamon, its time to shut him up." Rika said angrily.

"Gladly." She said as she got into the air ready for her attack.

`I was hopping not to do this.' Dracula thought. `But she's leaving me with no choice.' He then raised his cane right in front of him and started spinning it at such a speed, it started picking up wind.

"What's he trying to do? Fly out of here?" Terriormon asked.

"It won't help him now." Renamon said as the diamond shards formed around her. "DIAMOND STORM!" The shards started flying towards Dracula and his cane…

"DARK REFLECTION!" He said as the cane absorbed the diamonds, and spat them right back at Renamon.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" She said as she fell to the ground hard.

"RENAMON!" Rika said as she ran to her fallen Digimon. `Why am I worried about data?' She thought as she and the others went to check on her.

"Until you realize Digimon are as real as you or I, your victories are tainted ones, and until Renamon realizes she's more than a puppet as well, she has no chance of betting me." Dracula said. "Know this, I'm on your side kids, but if Renamon wants a rematch at anytime, she can find me here." He then handed Rika a card with his club's address on it. "But I recommend she cuts her strings, because at this rate, she'll never be a powerful Digimon. Fare well." He said as he ran into the trees and disappeared just as Renamon woke up.

`This isn't over.' Renamon thought.
