Chapter 19: The Key To My Heart's Diary

“Someone call for back up?” Dark called out as he spotted Tk and the others,
“Dark! Wolfmon!” Tk shouted with glee.

Kevin smiled weakly as he wiped some sweat that rolled down his forehead.

“What took you guys?”
“Lets see you try and get to the center of this huge castle while fighting of Shadow Creatures!”
“What do you mean? We're already doing that?” Lionmon replied as he took out a Shadow Creature.
“True”

Kari handed the paper back to Lucy.

“I didn't know…”
“Neither did I, everyone knew except me.”
“So, why did you think Henry… died if he was with the Dark Lord?”
“I guess, it was cause we never saw him again after that.”

Lucy smirked and laid back onto the grass.

“So how's your relationship with Tk doing?”

Kari blushed a deep scarlet red.

“F-Fine!”
“If you want to go out with him why don't you just talk to him?”
“… But… I'm with Davis.”
“… That's true… I know! Why don't you talk to him! If he's a smart kid he'll let you be happy!”

Kari just stared at the Gatomon and WhiteGatomon playing with a pair of butterflies.

“Guess so…”
“Having doubts?”
“No…just confused”

“Davis you ok?”

After breakfast everyone went off in pairs to explore the palace. Davis and Veemon went back to their room to think for a while.

“I don't know Veemon. Kari seems so distant ever since this whole thing started!”
“You can't really blame her, Davis, I mean her and Gatomon really care about Tk and Patamon; they're probably worried about the two of them since they've been gone since last night.”

Davis sighed and stared at the ceiling.

“Yeah, but that's not what I'm talking about.”
“I what do you mean?”
“I mean seems like Kari is realizing she has feeling for Tk”
“Are you mad?”
“To tell you the truth,” Davis smiled, “it doesn't bother me!”

Veemon scratched his head.

“Really?”

Davis nodded.

“Yeah…”
“Davis…you've come a long way since we first met, and I think you've really grown up”
“Thanks Veemon!”

Tai, Mimi, and their digimon decided to stay in the dining room. Tai gazed up at the ceiling with an expression Agumon couldn't read. Agumon looked over to Mimi who was sitting beside the digidestined.

“You ok, Tai?”
“Yeah, just thinking”
“Tai…”
“You won't let me drop it until I tell you, right?”

Mimi nodded her head. Tai sighed and leaned his head on Mimi's shoulder.

“I was just wondering why there's always problems in the digital world.”
“Tai…”
“Alright, alright! I was just worried about Tk and the others.”
“He's like the little brother you never had”
“That's true”

Mimi leaned in and kissed Tai on the forehead.

“Don't worry, he's strong enough to take care of himself”
“I know, it's just one of those times you can't help but worry”

Meanwhile on the other side of the room were Agumon and Palamon.

“What're they talking about?” Palamon wondered
“Probably a human thing” Agumon replied shrugging his shoulders

Palamon looked back to the digidestined and covered her mouth as she gasped. Agumon raised his eyebrow and turned hi attention towards the two. The dinosaur digimon tilted his head a bit and asked Palamon,

“Why are they eating each other's faces?”
“They're not eating each other's faces! They're kissing!” Palamon replied as she blushed.
“Oh… what's kissing?”

Palamon sweatdropped.

Matt, Sora, and their digimon were in the music room. Matt found a guitar and was playing a soft and slow melody.

“Hey Matt…”
“Yeah Sora?”
“…”

Matt was about to turned around but Sora gave him a hug from behind. Matt felt Sora crying into his back.

“Sora?”
“Don't leave me again, Matt”
“Sora…”
“Please, promise me”
“Sora, I won't make you that promise.”

Sora's eyes widened as tears slid down her cheeks.

“Wha… why… why not?”
“Because…”

Matt got out off Sora's embrace and turned to face her. One hand brushed through her hair while the other one wiped the tears away.

“The idea would never cross my mind”

He then kisses her on the lips, which Sora happily returned. (Something tells me I should change the rating of the story)

Biyomon and Gabumon were watching near by. Biyomon sighed happily and leaned against Gabumon, who was smiling from ear to ear.

Rose and LightBiyomon were up in a tree outside the kingdom walls.

“Rose, what're we doing here?”
“I just wanna wait for Dark to come back, you can go inside if you want.”
“No it's alright”
“How precious, a princess waits for her prince”

Rose and LightBiyomon looked down from the branch they were on to see the Dark Lord.

“What are you doing here?”
“Just because”
“What's that supposed to mean?”
“Nothing… Shadow Paralysis!”
“Oh no!”
“I can't move!”

Dark Lord smirked and walked off, but not before saying,

“Henry, finish them off!”
“Henry?” Rose wondered

Before Rose knew what was going on she fell from the tree branch. Luckily some Shadow Creatures caught the unconscious Rose before she could hit the ground.

“Rose!” LightBiyomon called out.
“When this Shadow Paralysis wares off I'll…”

The guardian never got a chance to finish the thought as a Shadow Creature knocks the bird unconscious. Before LightBiyomon blacked out, she was able to use telepathy.

“Wolfmon… help…”

Tk sighed happily.

“That was the last one!”
“Alright! Now lets get out of here!” Dark stated.
“Right!”

“Wolfmon… help…”

Wolfmon's head jerked up the guardian heard the bird's pleas.

“LightBiyomon”

“Master, we must get back quickly!”
“Huh? Why? Miss LightBiyomon already?” Dark teased
“Well yes… but that's not the point!”
“What do you mean?” Kevin asked

Wolfmon lets out a small growl as he spoke.

“LightBiyomon used telepathy to me and she asking for help!”
“Help? Help on what?”
“Not sure, but her voice… it sounded like it was fading”
“Fading?”
“But the only time your voice fades during telepathy is when you're going to… lose conscience.” Dark said slowly

Everyone looked to each other then ran off as they could towards the Kingdom of Light.

“Now what do we do Reppamon?” Louis asked.
“Why don't we go back to the Kingdom of Light?” Reppamon suggested.
“Sounds good to me!” Amber exclaimed, “I'll get Lillymon to meet up with us there!”

“Lillymon? Can you hear me? Lillymon? Lillymon!”

Amber gazed at Louis and Reppamon with a worried expression.

“What's wrong, Amber?”
“It's Lillymon… she's not responding”
“Really? That's weird.”
“Did something happen?”

Amber's face showed horror.

“Don't say that, Louis!”
“S-Sorry!”
“Let's move!” Reppamon called out
“What about Lillymon?”
“Don't worry about Lillymon, she's a guardian, she can take care of her self. Right now let's worry about getting to the Kingdom of Light.”
“Ok”
“Sure!”

With they took off.

Kari and Gatomon sat in the garden watching the flowers dance with the wind; Lucy and WhiteGatomon went inside some time ago.

“What should I do Gatomon?”
“I'm not sure Kari.”
“Aren't you in the same position as me?” Kari asked the cat
“Yeah…”
“What's wrong Gatomon? You're not as talkative as you usually are.”
“And you're not as happy as you usually are” Gatomon answered

Kari chuckled.

“Guess you're right!”
“I was just thinking about what WhiteGatomon was telling me”
“What'd she say?”
“She said that I can't figure out what my heart is trying to tell me because I had to find the key before I can open the lock.”
“What does that mean?” Kari asked but Gatomon just shrugged her shoulders
“Don't know! All she said was find the key to my heart's diary”
“Heart's diary?”
