Chapter One

Fate's Decision

 

Katie Yamaguchi was waiting for all her friends in the living room of her house, and she was fiddling with her house keys because she was nervous. She wore a light pink tank top and jeans. She had reddish - brown hair, which had been tied into a ponytail and she wore a red pendant around her neck.

 

She wasn't nervous about Tai or Matt or Izzy or Joe. She was most nervous about her secret crush, TK Takashi. She's liked him since the first day she'd met him, when he smiled the melting smile of his at her. And now not anyone was going to ruin her night, not even her annoying little brother, Jason (who was at Katie's Grandma's house).

 

Suddenly the doorbell rang and Katie shot up straight away and answered it. `Hey Davis!' said Katie, greeting her friend happily. `Hiya Katie! Where's the food?' Katie giggled. `Not till after Truth or Dare.' Davis gave a sigh and stepped inside. She asked him `Where are the others?'

`Their all in one group, I just decided to run ahead.' The doorbell rang again and Davis said `That must be them.' Katie nodded. Before going out into the hall she turned around and warned Davis: `Sneak anything from the kitchen and you're dead meat.' Davis gulped and nodded, pretending to be terrified. The first person she saw out of everyone was TK and his brother, Matt.

 

`Hiya everyone!' Katie said to them all. `Just go into the sitting room and we'll play Truth or Dare!' Tai looked at Sora and Cody and grinned evilly. Once everyone was inside Katie said `OK, you guys know the rules. I spin, you pick.' She spun the bottle and it landed on Cody.

`Truth or dare?' Katie asked.

`Truth.'

`OK.Out of all the girls, who do you have a crush on?'

Cody muttered something under his breath. `What's that?' asked Katie.

`I SAID MIMI!' Cody shouted and then blushed deeply. Mimi looked at him strangely and then giggled.

`OK. You're turn Cody.' Cody spun the bottle and it landed on Davis.

`Truth or Dare?'

`Dare.'

`I dare you to…. Suck your thumb for the next ten minutes!'

`Grrrr… Cody. I'll get you for this little boy.' Cody grinned evilly.

Davis spun the bottle and it landed on Katie.

`Truth or Dare?'

`Um, dare.'

`I dare you to make out with TK for two minutes.'

`WHAT?' said TK and Katie at the same time.

TK and Katie both blushed a deep crimson before moving in. Katie was extremely nervous and a couple of seconds later, their lips met. The first thing Katie thought was `Wow, TK's a really good kisser.' Katie entered her tongue into TK's mouth making the kiss better than before. Everyone was staring but they didn't care. The two teenagers parted, their breathing heavy. Everyone had stopped staring and Katie spun the bottle and it landed on Matt.

`Truth or Dare?'

`Truth'

`Have you ever made out with another boy before?'

Matt went pale and said `Well, I got drunk one night at a party and I didn't know what I was doing so………

Everyone laughed.

Matt spun the bottle and it landed on Katie again.

`Truth or dare?'

`Truth.'

`How do you really feel about my brother?'

Katie looked at him with strangely and said `I'm sorry?'

`How do you feel about my brother?' Everyone leaned in waiting for the answer.

Katie took a deep breath and said `I've had a crush on him since the day I met him and I can't help it no matter what.' Suddenly, two white glowing orbs appeared in the middle of the room and flew over and into Katie's hands. A small little device appeared in the right hand and in the left hand a marking on a piece of plastic.

Everyone gasped. Tai was the first one to speak. `It's a digivice and a crest!'
