Thursday. And I am so happy that it's all over and I have today and the Easter weekend off. Hey!
Did you notice that today is Friday the 13th? Ironic isn't it?! Today is suppose to be good Friday.
I know I'm weird for noticing this sort of thing but anyway . . . So I guess I'll stop my babbling

Gemstone for sending me that e-mail. I really appreciate it. Thanks. ^_^

The Shadow

Chapter 7

Sora cradled the phone between her shoulder and her ears. "And that's what happened."

"Oh my god! Are you serious?" Mimi's voice boomed from the other side.

"I've never been more serious in my life." Sora said a bit annoyed.

"Sorry. But its sort of hard to believe that you're being threatened."

Sora sighed. "Everything is so confusing."

"It'll be alright, Sora." Mimi said sympathetically. "After all, Izzy's already got a suspect."

"I don't know, Mimi." Sora shook her head. "I just can't imagine Julia being the person who is
doing this."

"You know what they say. Looks can be deceiving."

"Yes, but not Julia."

Mimi sighed. "Sora, you're always so trusting of everyone."

"Mimi. . ."

"If Julia is innocent, then there is no problem, time will prove Izzy wrong for thinking that she is
the killer."

"Let's hope you're right about it then."

Sora stared out the window of the computer lab. It was after school, and most students had left
already. The group is meeting up here, to see what new information each person had acquired.

Tai wrapped his arms around Sora from behind. "What's wrong?" He whispered.

Sora leaned against him. "It's nothing."

Tai frowned. "Are you still worried about Julia being Shadow?"

Sora turned around and buried her head in Tai's chest. "I can't believe she would do something
like that. I mean why would she threaten me?"

"Tai's arms tightened around her. "Sora. . ."

Tai bend down and kissed her gently on the lips. "It's okay Sora. I won't let anything happen to
you. Julia would not be able to hurt you, if she is or isn't Shadow. . ."

Tai's sentence was interrupted when a crash came from behind. They turned around to see a wide
eyed Angel staring back at them. Shards of glass at her feet.

Angel stared down at the glass as if surprised that it was there. "My cup. . ." She bend down to
pick up the broken pieces of her cup.

"Angel. . ." Sora ran over to her. "Are you alright?"

Angel's head suddenly snapped up and she grabbed onto Sora's arms. "Are you serious?"

Sora was getting a bit scared at Angel's reaction. "Angel. . ."

"Julia can't be Shadow! She just can't!"

Sora winced at Angel's voice, she sounded hysterical, and her grip on her arm was becoming very
painful, Angel was stronger than she looked.

"Angel, calm down." Tai walked over to them. Seeing the pained expression on Sora's face, he
gently pried Angel's hand from Sora's arm.

Tai stumbled a few steps backwards, surprised as Angel suddenly threw her body into his arms.
She had her arms firmly locked around his waist. "It just can't be her!" Tai could feel her tears as
it soaked through his shirt. He looked up at Sora's shock face.

"Okay people, we better. . ." Izzy stopped as he walked in through the door. His face a mask of
confusion at the scene in front of him.

The rest of the group was right behind him. They too stopped in their tracks as they addressed the
sight in front of them.

"What the . . ." Matt began.

Joe sighed. "This is gonna be a long story."

Kari seeing the pained expression on his brother's face took pity on him. She walked over to the
crying girl, and tried to calm her down. "Angel, what's the matter?"

But the older girl just ignored her.

"Angel. . ." The girl was so stubborn. Kari couldn't believe how she was clinging to her brother.
She looked helplessly at Tai.

Tai put his hands on Angel's body and pushed her at arms length. As if just realizing what's going
on, Angel looked up with tears breaming in her aqua blue eyes. "I'm sorry Tai. I didn't mean to
cry all over you like that."

"It's okay." Tai said as he moved away.

"How embarrassing!" Angel's eyes began to fill with tears again.

At this point Joe stepped in. "Angel what's wrong? If you tell us, maybe we'll be able to help
you."

Angel sniffed. "It's just that when Tai said that Julia is Shadow. . ."

Izzy turned and looked at Tai. "She overheard us." Tai explained.

"I was so shocked." Angel continued. "I already consider her as one of my best friends, so I never
thought she would do something like that?"

"Something like what?" T.K looked at Angel

Angel sighed. "Like this." Angel took out a piece of paper from her pocket. "I got this note in my
locker."

"It's a threat." Izzy scanned the page. "It's like the one Sora received earlier at the Cyclone."

"Are you sure!" Matt snatched the note from Izzy.

"Positive."

"I guess you understand why I was so upset." Angel said in a quiet voice.

"How long have you been getting these threats." T.K asked.

"A week ago. It first started with a phone call, and now this."

"Exactly like me. . ." Sora whispered.

"But. . . but it can't be Julia." Angel continued. "She's my friend."

Izzy looked at her pitifully. "Friends are no friends. We still can't prove anything. For all we
know, it could be someone else and not Julia."

"All we really know is this person uses purple roses." T.K began.

Angel's eyes widened. " I remember now! Julia's parents own a flower shop."

Suddenly everyone turned around. "What?!"

Angel dropped her head. "My mom always orders flowers from their shop. Purple being my
favorite color, so when I went to their shop to pick up an order for my mom. I saw those purple
roses, they were gorgeous. I wanted to get some but. . .but Julia told me not to, I don't know
why. But. . . I really wanted them, so I bought it anyway. Then she just said not to give them to
people that I like."

Izzy digested this information. "Interesting."

"Julia seems more plausible than ever." Joe accused.

"But it still doesn't prove anything." Sora interrupted.

Angel's eyes narrowed.

"Sora's right. Just because of this one piece of information. It still doesn't prove anything." Matt
agreed.

"What we need to do is find out more about Julia." Izzy suggested.

"Do you mean, like spy on her?" Joe looked around nervously.

Izzy nodded. "If only we knew. . ."

"I heard." Angel began slowly. "That Julia's going downtown tomorrow."

"Down town?" Izzy's eyebrows furrowed together. "Alright. " Izzy began. "I guess we'll just
have to keep an eye out for her after school then."

"I'm sorry about this, but I can't go." Joe commented.

"Me neither." Kari said.

"I've got basketball practice." T.K added in.

"That's okay ,you guys." Sora smiled.

"But the rest of you are going, right?" Tai narrowed his eyes.

"Ya..."

"Sure..."

"I'm coming too." They turned and looked at Angel. " Even though she's my friend, but if she is
Shadow, I want to help you guys stop her."

Sora smiled weakly. "Thanks Angel."

Matt's eyes narrowed. He never liked Angel much, and he was sort of suspicious of her. She
seemed awfully fast condemning Julia as Shadow.

"Hey Julia, wait up." Sora ran up next to the girl. Even though most of the group sounded pretty
convinced that Julia is Shadow, she still had her doubts and she still definitely consider Julia as
her friend.

Julia forced a smile on her face. "Hi Sora."

Sora frowned. "Are you alright? You don't seem so well."

"I'm fine. I was just wondering about something, that's all." Julia answered a bit too crisply.

Sora smiled trying to break the awkwardness. "I heard you're having a party."

This time Julia's smile was genuine. "You're coming right?"

"Wouldn't miss it for the world."

"Great! I wanted to have a party ever since I moved here, but I didn't know that many people."

"So Angel helped you."

Suddenly Julia's face turned serious. "Ya, I guess."

Sora's brows furrowed together. She opened her mouth but before she had a chance to say
anything. Julia interrupted.

"Hey, I've got to go. See you later, okay?"

Sora nodded.

Without another word, Julia turned and left.

Why couldn't it have been someone else. Why did it have to be Angel. Doesn't she know what
she's doing is dangerous. Julia slowly picked up one of the purple roses. I need to. . . But I can't!
I just cant' do that to her. She so young and full of potential.

Julia paused as she picked up another purple rose. Maybe. . . maybe I don't have to destroy her,
maybe I don't have to ruin her after all. Maybe I could just warn her off . Maybe she'll stop and
everything will be alright. Julia could feel the small hope blooming inside of her. But suddenly it
was dashed away as a new thought come into her mind. What if she doesn't stop? What if. . .
Stop it! The hope inside of her screamed out, she'll stop. But what if she doesn't? Her brain
screamed back.

What should I do? Julia was so confused. Suddenly a new idea came into her mind. Yes! That's
what I'll do. I'll go and talk to Angel later, and straighten things out. Julia slowly wrapped up the
purple roses. These roses will be a gift for her. But first. . . first she have to do this.

Julia walked over to the counter, she took out a piece of paper and a pen. She began to scribble
on the paper, the writing was messy, but she was sure it was legible.

When she was done, she folded the paper up and put it in the envelope. She sealed it and on top
of it wrote the name of one of the few people that she consider to be her closest friends since she
moved here.

"Mom." Julia called out as she gathered her things together. "I have to go alright?"

"Sure dear." Came her mother's response from the other room.

"I'll come back later to help with the shop, if you want."

"No, that's alright."

"Thanks ma. . . oh. . . I left a letter on the counter, can you help me keep it for now. It's
important, it's something for a friend of mine."

"Sure, no problem." Her mom walked into the room.

Julia ran over to her and gave her a quick hug. She didn't know why, but she just had the urge to
do that. "Bye." She took the purple roses and left the shop.

"Bye dear." Came her mother's response.

"There she is!" Matt nodded towards Julia, as she came out of the flower shop.

"Come on." Izzy told them as they followed after her.

"She's gone across the street." Angel pointed. She suddenly gasped. "She's got purple roses.

Tai and Sora exchanged looks.

"I can hardly see her in this crowd." Izzy tried to look over the head of all the pedestrians rushing
back and forth on the sidewalk. "Damn it! I've lost sight of her."

Matt made a frustrated sound. "We better split up into groups. Me and Izzy a group, and you
guys a group." Matt suggested.

They nodded in agreement before heading in two different directions.

They wondered aimlessly for sometime.

"This is hopeless, we have no idea where she is." Sora threw up her hands in frustration.

Tai walked over to her. His hand came up and brushed the few strands of hair out of her eyes. His
fingers lingered on her cheeks. "It's alright Sora, we'll find her."

Sora smiled up at him. Tai was being so sweet. She mouthed the words I love you. Tai smiled
down at her and was about to kiss her. . .

"Come on you guys, there seem to be something interesting going on in the park." Angel
interrupted.

Tai rolled his eyes heavenwards. Sora couldn't help but laugh as he took hold of her hand and
followed Angel across the street.

Sora looked around her at all the people there. "It must be some sort of celebration happening or
something."

"Probably." Tai looked around also. "Try to stay close to each other alright? You could get easily
lost in a crow like this."

Sora was about to answer when Angel's shrill voice interrupted her.

"There she is. . . common!" She grabbed onto Tai's hand and pulled him into the crowd.

Sora blinked in surprise. She tried to follow them as their bodies were engulfed into the crowd of
people. "Tai!" Sora called out as they disappeared from view.

Sora turned around pushing her way past some people. " Tai!" She called out again.

"Tai!" She called as she finally managed to get onto the sidewalk. But still there was no sign of
Tai or Angel.

Suddenly the air was knocked out of her as she felt someone shove her from behind. She landed
on the street, hard.

A car horn blared, Sora looked up just as the car came baring down on her. . .
