Part 6: "The Prophecy Awakens"
"You are too late. In 10 more hours, I will gain total power! And I thank you, Master of Courage!" Myotismon laughed as he leaped in the air towards the team. He landed with a graceful landing, looking at the team with laughter.
"No! I won't let you do this to him Myotismon!" Sora yelled at the vampire, her anger rising.
"Touchy aren't we, dear? But no matter, once that he will become in me, you don't have to worry about him no longer since he wouldn't care about you at all. HA HA HA HA!" he laughed out. He couldn't hold in the laughter any more.
Sora clenched her fist with the shaddered crest in her hands. Tai looked at the girl with sadness. He wanted to be there by her side right now, but it was no use. He looked down at her fist and saw that his Crest of Courage was still in her hands. 'Why still have that?' he asked himself. He pounded on the tube with all of his might.
Myotismon gazed at the young soul, trying his best to break the tube. "Sorry , this tube is very powerful. That is why it is holding you prisoner. Now digidestined, prepare for the event of your final performance!" he hollered. He walked to the tube and placed his hand upon the glass.
He closed his eyes as a black glow emitted around him. Soon, the tube liquid turned black as midnight. Tai graoned out wearily as he knew what was going on. Before he could talk, pain infected on him. He sank to the bottom of the tube, kneeling in agony. "The pain. . . it's stronger than before." he managed to speak out.
"What are you doing to him Myotismon?!" Sora yelled out. "You're hurting him!"
Myotismon looked at the team, to relish the anger and sorrow in them. "I am increasing the absorbtion, since you came a bit earlier than planned. So now, you have about half an hour. See if you can help him in 30 minuets. Ha HAHAHA!!" he laughed out evily. He felt success in his veins.
Tai looked at the group as clear as he can. He saw their faces, angered and upset. Then he gazed at Sora. She looked as if she was about to cry. She looked down in sadness. Tai then became a bit angered. He didn't want no one hurting Sora's feelings and pride. "Sora, you and the others can do it. . ." he said as he stood up, trying to black out the pain.
"Hush boy. You're in no position to speak." Myotismon hollered. He sent a jolt of lighting at the tube.
Tai screamed out from the eletricity going through the liquid.
"Tai!!" The group hollered to insure of him still being concious. Sora got concerned. 'Can we save him now?' she thought, 'If only this crest would have stayed in tacked, then he would still be alive and safe.'
Matt was tired of this little game Myotismon was playing. He walked in front of the group. "Myotismon, let Tai go! He shouldn't deserve this!" he shouted at the vampire.
Myotismon looked at the young boy. "I think that someone should put you in your place, boy!" he shouted. "Grizzly Wing!" the bats flew around the digidestined creating a wall around them. "Now only 20 minutes left until the big moment." he laughed out loud.
Kari held on to Sora. The litte girl was frightened and upset for her brother. T.K. clung to Matt, who was also scared of what might happen. Sora closed her eyes, and threw the scraming of Mimi, Myotismon's laughter, and the sqeaking of the bats, she also heard something that she never thought that she would hear. Sobbing. Tai was sobbing and screaming in pain. She felt like that she wanted to cry herself.
"Wolf Claw!"
"Flower Cannon!"
The two attacks appeared and hit the bats, making them vanish in an instant.
"WereGarurumon!" Matt hollered out.
"Lillymon!" Mimi cried out.
The rest of the digimon approached the scene, running to their partners' side.
"You guys alright?" Izzy stated to the digimon.
"We are okay. When we heard screaming, we rushed here as fast as we could. Sorry it took us so long." MegaKabutarimon said.
Agumon gazed at Tai, now screaming a little here and there. The little dinosaur ran to the tube, with tears in his eyes. "Tai, are you okay?" he asked.
Tai stopped screaming and held it in. He looked at the lizard digimon, with a smile. "Hey there. . .buddy." Tears fell from his face. He hated to cry in front of the group, but he just couldn't hold it in any longer.
Agumon placed a paw on the tube, caring about nothing but his comrad right now. "Ill get you out Tai. Promise."
"Thanks. . . pal, u never let me down. . . do ya?" Tai groaned out.
"Oh, how touching, a boy and his digimon. I think i'm going go cry. Boo-hoo." Myotismon said sarcastically. He looked at Agumon and the weakened soul of Tai. "Pathetic!"
"Digimon, attack!" Angewomon announced.
The Ultimate digimon nodded in agreement and charged at the vampire.
"Flower Cannon!"
"Hand of Fate!"
"Wing Blade!"
"Vulcans Hammer!"
"Horn Buster!"
"Wolf Claw!"
"Celestial Arrow!"
All the attacks headed straight for Myotismon, combining into one powerful blast. Myotismon smircked at this and flew up in the air, making the blast hit the ground with a vibration activated.
"Crimson Lightning!" Myotismon hollered through the fog of dust. The red beam flew in his hands, hitting Angewomon, sending her flying near Kari and de-digivolved back to Gatomon.
"Gatomon! No!" Kari hollered, adding more tears in her eyes. She picked up Gatomon and hugged her.
"He absorbed Gatomon's power!" Izzy hollered through the battle.
Myotismon didn't stop there. He flew high in the air. "Nightmare Claw!" he shouted.
The attack hit the rest of the digimon, making them black and white, to show that there energy was draining. Soon, they all de-digivolved back to there rookie forms.
"Oh no!" Matt yelled. His fustration got worse. He didn't know what to do.
"That was a good refeshing battle if I do say so myself. HA!" he chuckled. "Only 5 minuets now. Say your goodbye's."
'I still have hope. . ." T.K. thought to himself.
'We can't let Tai's soul end like this. . .' Izzy stared at the tube.
'We can still try. . .' Kari thought.
'We can't loose our leader without a fight. I will be reliable for him. He is counting on all of us. . . .' Joe replied as he stared at Tai's soul, that was screaming in pain.
'I need to help him. . . He loves Sora, and those two shouldn't stay apart. . .' Mimi thought to herself.
'I will help Tai. I owe him so much after what happened. I need to be a better friend. . . ' Matt looked down in shame. He felt terrible.
'I will save Tai. He is my only true love, and I can't let him down in his time of need. . .' Sora thought as he looked at Tai's soul, that was becoming transparent. "We won't give up!!"
Just like on cue, a glow appeared on all of there chests.
"Our crests. . .there glowing!" Matt yelled as he pulled his out.
The rest of the group follwed Matt and looked at there crest. "But why are they glowing?" Sora asked, wiping a tear away.
Before anyone could answer, their crest flew off of there necks and floated in midair in a circle. The group was amazed at this little act.
"What's going on?" Sora asked, wide-eyed. Soon, she felt a soft nudge from her hand. She looked at her hand, and spotted Tai's crest, flying near the other crests. It floated in the center of the circle.
"The crests, are they reviving the crest of Courage?" Joe asked out loud.
The crests glew brightly, looking like the colors of the rainbow. The glows then started to go around the shaddered crest and tag of Courage.
"I think so Joe." Izzy answered out.
Soon, the glow vanished and the crest of Courage was again whole. The group gasped out as they saw this amazing discovery. Tai looked up at the crest of Courage. He smiled a happy smile; something that he never had done in a really long time, even the days before of his death. The tube that held Tai started to glow a bright orange as bright as the sun.
"NO! This cannot be!" Myotismon hollered out.
The tube shaddered into a million peices. Tai's soul flew to the crest, in hopes of returning to flesh and blood. A vast glow appeared surrounding both Tai and the crest.
"What's happening?!" Mimi yelled out.
"Tai is being resureccted, Mimi!" Izzy smiled. "We did it. . "
The glow dimmed, revealing Tai, with the crest of Courage on him. He landed on the ground. He was happy that he wasn't a wandering spirit any longer.
"Yes!" He cheered out. He felt like that a ton flew off of his shoulders, relaxing him once again.
"Tai! You're okay!" Kari yelled out to her brother.
Tai didn't look back at the group at all. He just stared at the hunter that almost caught him. His angered blue eyes gazed at the vampire, not hesitating to let him out of his sight. "Myotismon, you will pay for you're crimes right now!" Tai shouted out.
"What can you do Courage? Not even Ultimate digimon defeated me. What makes you think that you have the power, huh?!"
Tai smircked. "You don't know me very well if you say that. I fought more powerful digimon; more powerful than you Myotismon. Now you will see just what I can do."
"Tai? What are you taking about?" Sora asked.
Izzy turned towards the group. "It isn't Tai right now you guys. That is the ledgendary Warrior of Courage, Taichi."
"What?!" the group exclaimed.
Taichi held up his crest. "I call upon the powers of Hope, Light, Love, Reliability, Freindship, Sincerity, and Knowledge. Come forth!" he hollered.
The groups crests that were still in there circular position, now floated around the crest of Courage once more. The crests glowed a white glow. When it dimmed, Taichi held up a blade, glowing of all the colors of the crests. The crests returned to their owners, finished of their tasks.
"Amazing. . ." Agumon said as he gazed at Taichi.
Myotismon smircked. "What is that toy gonna do to me, poke my eyes out?" he laughed out.
Taichi, ignoring the statement, jumped in the air and struck the occupied Myotismon right in the heart. Myotismon gasped as he kneeled down to the ground, blood dripping from the wound. Taichi took the sword out and looked at the digimon. His swod didn't hold any blood from the vampire. "You do not belong in this world anymore Myotismon." With one twist of his sword, he shot a beam at the vampire, turning him to digidust.
"You did it Tai!" Sora cheered. The rest of the group cheered as the digimon sighed in relif that it was finnaly over.
Taichi turned around to see his friends. He smiled weakly and sighed. He then dropped the sword as if it just became heavy to the warrior. "I'm so weak. . " he groaned out before he started to collaspe.
"Tai!" Sora yelled out as she ran to Tai's side, catching him before he fell to the ground.
"Let's get out of here. We are finished here." Gatomon said.
The group nodded as Matt carried Tai out of the castle, with Sora behind Matt.

Tai groaned and slowly opened his eyes. He couldn't focus but he knew that he was being carried on the strecther that the group made for him earlier.
"Look, he is ok!" A young boy's cheer was heard in Tai's mind. He knew it had to be T.K. . Soon, his eyes came to focus and he saw his friends around him, cheering.
They set the stretcher down and looked at him.
"Tai, are you ok?" Kari asked her big brother.
Tai held his head. "I think. What happened? Last I remember I was almost dying."
"You mean you don't remember anything that's happened at all?" Joe questioned Tai.
"Remember what? The last thing I can remember was Sora holding me."
Everyone looked at each other. "You mean that is about as far as you can remember?" Agumon asked his partner.
Tai nodded. He didn't know what was going on.
"Guys, I guess that Taichi was keeping Tai's soul alive the whole time and he took control of his mind to defeat Myotismon as well." Izzy theriticized.
"I guess that's a possibility." Gomamon replied.
Sora ran up to Tai and hugged him. She was just so grateful that he was alive and well. "Tai, im just glad that you're okay." she replied with tears in her eyes.
Tai hugged her back. "Sorry to worry you, Sora."
Sora kissed him lightly on the cheek. "And to reply to your comment, I love you too."
Tai's face began to turn red in an instant.
"Way to go, Romeo." Izzy smircked as the group laughed, all excep Matt.
Matt walked up to the leader with his head down. "Tai that was all this was my fault. I shouldn't have chose the false Tai. I'm sorry that happened to you." Matt said. He sounded emotionless but he ment it.
Tai stood up weakly and looked at Matt. "It wasn't your fault Matt. You wnted to make a decion to protect the group and I thank you." He said.
Sora smiled at this. Usually the two would argue, not talk normally. She wanted to enjoy this moment.
"Hey we should get going. We have to find a way for you guys to go back to your own world again." Gatomon announced to the group.
The group nodded and trudged off. Tai tried to take a step, but he was still weak and collasped to the ground.
"Tai!" Sora yelled helping him up. "You better go back on the stretcher. You're not fully healed yet."
"But Sora, I don't want you guys carrying me around."

"Nevermind Tai. Just lay on the stretcher and we will carry you until you recover." Sora explained. "We will tell you the details later."

Kari gave Tai another hug and a kiss. "I'm glad that you are okay."
"Now, Kari. Don't let Sora get jealous of you." Tai winked at Kari.

Tai stood up weakly and looked at Matt. "It wasn't your fault Matt. You wnted to make a decion to protect the group and I thank you." He said.
Sora smiled at this. Usually the two would argue, not talk normally. She wanted to enjoy this moment.
"Hey we should get going. We have to find a way for you guys to go back to your own world again." Gatomon announced to the group.
The group nodded and trudged off. Tai tried to take a step, but he was still weak and collasped to the ground.
"Tai!" Sora yelled helping him up. "You better go back on the stretcher. You're not fully healed yet."
"But Sora, I don't want you guys carrying me around."
"Nonsense. It is better than loosing you again." She looked angered at Tai. After all of this he still doesn't want any help.
"Loosing me again?" Tai looked confused at Sora's statement.
"Nevermind Tai. Just lay on the stretcher and we will carry you until you recover." Sora explained. "We will tell you the details later."
Tai slowly smiled in an agreement. He layed on the stretcher and sighed. "Ok, I'm ready. Let's go." Tai smiled.
Kari gave Tai another hug and a kiss. "I'm glad that you are okay."
"Now, Kari. Don't let Sora get jealous of you." Tai winked at Kari.
Kari laughed a bit at his statement as Matt and Joe picked up the stretcher and walked off.
"Hey, That prophecy was awakened." Izzy replied. "It was true."
Matt looked back at him. "You're right Izzy. Now it all became sense. The treasure was the crest and that is what destroyed the hunter, Myotismon."
'Yeah and we got our Courage back. . and my Courage too.' Sora thought as she gazed at the sleeping Tai. 'My love, and Courage.'
