Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ True Love Makin' ❯ The Beginning ( Chapter 1 )
SA: I've been waiting for this.
Davis: Uh-oh, what do you have planned now?
SA: Fine, I'll just bash you in this fic.
Davis: No, oh god please no... I'll be good.
SA: That's more like it, this fic. was inspired by me and my friends playing Capcom .vs. SNK 2 and 1. Hey, we're gamers... it had to happen to me sometime. I may do a Metal Gear Solid type of fic. too... but I have to come up with bad-guys and people who assist.
Davis: (Looks at all he wrote) Let's get this started, huh?
SA: Yea, I've talked way too long.

"I think he's against me."
"No he isn't, your just being lazy."
Davis stuck his tongue out at Kari, and turned his attention to the sheet of paper that had all of his missing assignments. A pathetic chuckle coming from him, and his face scrunched up in thought. Kari stood beside him looking at the paper, and giving him a mischievous grin.
"Why not just ask your girlfriend to help you study, or do you two study at all?"
Davis' eyes bulged out, and he blushed lightly.
"Not funny!"
He exclaimed loudly, catching the attention of passing people. Kari shot him a smug look, and he made a noise of irritation and turned his back to her as if though he were a child pouting. Kari burst into laughter which infuriated him a bit more.
"You know me and Yolei aren't like that."
"I know, it's just funny watching you do that."
"Not to me, seriously though she might be mad at me for goofing off in Mr. Campbell's class."
"Oh, nothing your charms can't take care of."
Davis grinned, and spun around to look at Kari. His eyes showing mischief, and his smile not denying any of it.
"Yea, no woman can resist the Motomiya charm."
Kari rolled her eyes and chuckled, then took the paper from his hands giving it a once over. She shook her head sadly and handed it back to him.
"How did you miss all that work?"
"I just forgot it, me and Yolei have been doing stuff."
"Yea right, I'm sure I know what kind of stuff. It's funny though, she's doing fine.. and your not."
"Yea, yea, yea, I find it hard to believe you and T.K. are able to complete your assignments."
Kari blushed and balled up her fists, shaking with mild anger.
"That's not your business!! And we don't even do that!!"
Davis burst out laughing, holding his sides. Then looked at Kari with a 'How stupid do you think I am' look. She stomped her foot to the ground, which made his grin turn bigger. Then he shook his head, and looked back at the paper.
"Well, I'll have to do this over the weekend."
"Yea, your lucky that he's giving you a break. You know he usually doesn't do this."
"I know. Hey, aren't they supposed to be here by now?"
"Yea, guess their running late."
"Hmm... well, Yolei went to fix Cody's computer again. But she told me she'd be done with it quickly... and Tai and Sora went to pick up T.K. didn't they?"
"Yea, he's at Matt's."
They were standing in front of a theater, awaiting the arrival of their friends. Davis checked his watch and sighed, his shoulders slumping forward slightly. Kari watched from the corner of her eye, and suppressed a giggle. He had no idea how many girls were staring at him, and smiled smugly at them.
'Sorry girls, but he's taken by someone. Yolei would hurt them if she saw them make a move on Davis.' Kari thought in her mind.
"What are you smiling about?" Davis interrupted her thoughts.
"Oh, nothing."
"Right... hey! There they are!"
"It's about time."
Tai, Sora, T.K., and Yolei were heading in their direction. Tai smiled and waved at them, with his other hand holding Sora's. T.K. smiled at Kari, and Yolei was running to Davis. He met her halfway, wrapping his arms around her as she planted kisses all over his face. Kari saw the other girls glare at Yolei, and she had to do everything to keep from laughing out loud. 'They never stood a chance.'
"Kari, did we keep you waiting long?"
"No, it's ok T.K. Let's go!"
The other's nodded heading into the cinema, and Davis felt someone staring at him. He took a look around, to find no one even paying the slightest attention to him. Breathing a sigh of relief, he only saw some girls glaring at Yolei. 'Huh... I wonder what's their damage?'
"Davis? You ok?"
Yolei looked at Davis with concern, and he just shook his head. Putting his arm around her, they walked into the theater never noticing he was being watched.

A boy dressed in a tight black shirt, with brown colored jeans and had dark brown hair was looking at the back of Davis' head. His companions were a girl with pink hair who was dressed in a white tank top, and tight leather skirt. Also with them was a bigger muscular boy, who appeared to be 17. He wore a green shirt, and blue jeans that had several rips and tears on them he as well had brown hair, though it was spiked and stood up.
"That's him." The dark browned hair boy said.
"Are you sure, Leo?"
"I'm certain Dizzy. That's him, I can feel his energy signature."
"Well then, looks like we found our candidate. The boss'll be pleased." The big muscle said.
"Hold on Jake, I want to see if he's the real thing. If he's worth our time then the boss will really be pleased."
"If you say so, Leo. But I'm just wondering who is that girl with the glasses?"
"Ah, Dizzy who cares? She didn't have a signature, so she's not important. All that matters is that we test this guy, and if he's worth it we invite him."
The three figures grinned as they headed out of the cinema, and the boy named Leo turned getting one last look.
"Soon, I'll get to fight you soon. I hope your worth it."

Walking out of the theater, Davis looked around again... and felt something strange. Like a...
"Davis?"
Snapping out of his thoughts, he turned to look at Tai and the others looking at him. He blushed embarrassed and scratched the back of his head nervously, laughing as if he thought of something funny. 'Yea, I'm just jumpy from the movie.'
"Davis, you ok? You don't look so good."
Tai questioned, worried about the younger boy. He shook his head, and took Yolei by the hand.
"Nah, I'm just fine. I'll walk Yolei home, it's pretty late."
He motioned to the sky, as the sun began to set. Tai looked at his watch and his eyes opened wide.
"Oh crap."
"Tai!" Sora smacked him upside the head.
"Ow... sorry. It is late, umm... yea. I'll walk Sora home, T.K. can you walk Kari home?"
"Sure Tai." T.K. grinned and took Kari by the hand.
"And no tongue!" Tai yelled after them.
Davis laughed which chorused with Yolei's, and the walked away hand in hand. Tai took Sora's hand and they walked toward her apartment. She leaned into him resting her head into his shoulder, as he looked at the top of her head and gave it a quick kiss.
"Tai?"
"Hmm...?"
"Do you think Davis is hiding something?"
"No, why do you say that?"
"He seemed distant, and... well I don't know... it's just... Yolei told me that he's been a bit to busy to talk to her lately."
"Maybe he's doing make-up work."
"Yea, but every-time she calls his sister picks it up saying he's practicing."
"So?"
"I don't know, I guess I'm just worried he'll break her heart."
"Davis wouldn't do that..."
"Yea, your right Tai."
* * *
"So?"
"So..."
"Penny for your thoughts, Dai?"
"Huh? Oh, it's nothing... I just picked up a bad feeling over in the theater."
"Like when we fight evil digimon?"
"No, something worse."
"Worse?"
"Ah, just forget it. It's probably just my imagination. Y'know, with all those battles we had I probably feel to relaxed."
"What are you, some kind of committed fighter?"
Davis laughed out loud, and wrapped his arms around her. They were taking the bus to get to her apartment, so she just got comfortable in his embrace. He took in her scent, and sighed smiling dreamily. 'Smells like peaches.'
"Well whatever it is, we'll beat it together."
"Hey, I'm the committed fighter. Remember?"
She giggled, and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. Then started to close her eyes, enjoying the closeness she felt. Davis looked out the window and his eyes followed the landscape, looking for their spot to get off.
'I hope it was just my imagination. I really do hope, because if it's what I think it is... I'm in alot of trouble.'

(SA: At a train stop)
A boy in his teens walked out with a duffel bag slinged on his shoulders, wearing a red baseball cap with black hair underneath. He had on a pair of faded blue jeans, and a gray t-shirt with an over shirt that had a picture of Solid Snake holding a M-9 with a suppressor. He had on a pair of gray sneakers, and took his hat off dusting his pants with it. Then put it back on, adjusting it till it looked right. Looking up to the sky he breathed in the fresh air, and let out a few words.
"It's good to be back. Hope your ready Motomiya, cuz it's time."
----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------
SA: I had to add that little Metal Gear, I'm obsessed with the game now!
Davis: Oh, cool. But where was the action?
SA: Patience little one, there is plenty of time for that. You have to be patient.
Davis: Can't wait...
SA: Bonus points to whoever can guess that little maneuver the mysterious guy pulled off with his hat. It's on the game Capcom .vs. SNK 2. It's one of my fav. characters... and I need some reviews telling me should Tai be part of this fight. I was originally planning just Davis and the mystery guy... but I'll add in Tai if I get requests for it.
Davis: He may add some other people as well.
SA: Quiet. I can't give it all away. Well Review people.
