Summary: Mimi & Yamato are obviously angry at each other because of some incidences. What will happen if Yamato transfers to a hotel where Mimi lives..as well as owned by Mimi's dad!(based on the 1st part of My First Romance) if you're a Sorato fan & you read this, then you're damn stupid

A/N: Its soooo boring in my house, even though its summer vacation (I can't go to the malls or anything!! no parties, no whatever!!) so I'm writing this fic to pass the time... PS2's now a bore, I can't surf the net that much, I can't meet with my friends `coz my cell phone is snatched (yes, I'm a victim of snatchers twice already) and my crush moved to another subdivision!! Plus my three best friends are out of town for vacation... and my big brother and his basketball team lost in their first two games!! What a fine way to spend summer vacation!! But let's just get on with the fic `coz I know you don't want to listen to my ranting and yada, yada... (The competing teams in the basketball league are so demoralizers!!!!!)

Warnings: Its not really a warning, more like an `FYI' (for your info) Mimi's hair is NOT dyed pink and its still long. Of course in the second series Matt's hair is still the same... just longer. And there are some original characters by me who will make an appearance in this fic. Anyway, on with the fic!!!!!!!!!

Chapter I: Meet the `Two Hearts'

Odaiba High. Well known for its advance technology and education, as well as the highly qualified teachers and, of course, the students. People speak highly of this school, all because of its `reputation'. But enough about the school let us meet some students that are known and are somehow looked upon most students.

Meet Mimi Tachikawa. A sophomore who obviously has everything a girl wants, but that doesn't stop her from being on the top 5 list, model student, and the president of the school's cheerleading squad. And with her chestnut brown hair, orange-brown eyes and a body girls ever wanted, it's no wonder why many guys admire, adore and love her. (Now that's exaggerating) Anyway, her dad is an owner of the hotel they live in while her mom... is a shop-a-holic.

And meet Yamato Ishida. Also a sophomore who... isn't really popular but has the face, body and voice to die for. He is also in the top 5, likes to help poor people and vice of the baseball club. (Oh, this is so not Matt) Anyway, his parents are volunteer doctors, meaning they only volunteer and don't have payments or salaries. They only depend on what the government gives them.

Well, that's enough said about the... `Two Hearts'. This is where our story starts... in the room of little miss Tachikawa...

`Mimi and Yamato were dancing... it seemed like they were in a school dance... only that they were wearing some kind of retro clothes. They were surrounded by balloons and streamers, but they didn't care. All they wanted to do that night was dance and dance... Until Mimi's mother arrived, bringing a glass of water.

"Mimi!! What are you doing, dancing with this... this lowlife!!" her mother retorted. Mimi looked at her with a somewhat hurt look in her eyes.

"Mom!" she said. "Why do you have to call him `lowlife'?"

"Oh, whatever!! Come on, let's go home!!" She reached out her hand... but Yamato blocked her way. "Get out of the way!!!" she yelled, but Yamato didn't flinch.

"You're nothing but a second-rate, trying hard copycat!!" she said, and she threw the water inside the glass towards Yamato... but he evaded it, hitting Mimi instead. Her mom looked at Mimi, shocked that she just threw water right at her daughter's face!!!

Mimi then ran. "MIMI!!!!" her mom and Yamato called out.

"MIMI!!!!!!!!!"...'

"Mimi..."

Odd, the voice changed. It sounded just like...

"Mimi!!!"

Suddenly, Mimi woke up. She looked at the door and saw Tsuru, her personal maid... and sometimes the clown of the house. Mimi and Tsuru are very close, but its because Mimi is left by her parents at home so often.

Tsuru was holding a tray in her hand; obviously Mimi's going to have `breakfast in bed'.

"You better get up now, Mimi-sama. You have classes today." Mimi groaned. And she had a meeting with her fellow cheerleaders today. It's going to be another long tiring day in Odaiba.

Tsuru put the tray on her lap. "Thanks, Tsuru-oneesan." Mimi said. Tsuru just waved her hand. "Oh, its nothin'!!! Its my job after all, ne?" Mimi smiled.

Tsuru left the room so that Mimi can eat and take a bath in peace.

Mimi, and her fellow cheerleader...leaders, Kint, Hiyoki, Rinnoah, and Nikki and Mikki, were seated in a table, discussing about... practically nothing. They were just talking about their lovelife, ideal guys, etc. Mimi, however, wasn't listening to them. She was looking across the school grounds, her eyes resting on the blonde that was tutoring some junior high kids. She never actually thought she would like him... I mean, after some incidences that happened between them in their freshmen year.

"...ne, Mimi-chan?" Rinnoah asked, snapping Mimi out of her...trance. "H-huh?"

The others giggled. "She was asking you if you already found the `love of your life'." Kint said, still giggling. Mimi blushed slightly.

"Uhm, unfortunately... not yet."

"WHAT?!" They couldn't believe their ears. Was their hearing okay, or did they need to go to an ear's doctor?

"You're kidding, right?" Mikki asked. But Mimi shook her head, confirming that their hearing have no problem whatsoever.

"Nobody even COURTED you?!" Nikki asked. Still, Mimi shook her head.

"But-but you're... beautiful!!" Hiyoki stammered. "How could have this happened?"

Kint put a hand on Mimi's shoulder. "Don't worry! We'll help you find the `love of your life'. There's so many to pick!!! Well, of course NOT including that wannabe cool Yamato." Everybody laughed. Mimi forced a smile.

Yamato was in the library with his best friend, Taichi, (why are they always best friends?) when Mimi and her "friends" passed by. One by one they said "Yuck!!!" obviously saying that to Yamato. It was Mimi's turn. She didn't want to, but all her friends' eyes were on her, so she had no choice but say, "Yuck!!!"

At this, Yamato stood up. At first he chose to ignore, but since the girl he had a crush on for so long said that, he couldn't take it anymore.

"Why do you always do this when I'm around?" he hissed. Rinnoah rolled her eyes. "He-llo? Have you ever looked in the mirror once?" the other girls sniggered, except of course, Mimi.

"Yeah, I did. But nothing in my face would make you say `yuck'." He retorted. Rinnoah smirked. "And who said it was your face?" the girls giggled even louder. Some were already looking at their direction. Sensing this, Mimi went to the middle, gathered up her courage, and said, "Come on guys, stop it. People are starting to stare."

"Of course they'd stare. YOU'RE in the pact." He hissed. Yamato was suddenly getting on Mimi's nerves, but all she could say was, "What makes you say these things about me? I didn't do anything wrong to you."

"Its ME who didn't do anything to you guys. And don't forget what you did to me last year."

Mimi was heating up. "I told you it was --"

"Guys, stop it." Taichi said. "We're in the library, y'know." They looked around and noticed that almost all were staring. They flushed with embarrassment, but then glared at each other and walked their separate ways.

"The nerve of that guy!" Nikki started, but Mimi shook her head. "Please don't talk about it for now..." The five girls looked at each other then to Mimi.

Tsuru picked Mimi up from school, and as they walked towards the hotel the Tachikawas owned, she told Tsuru about what happened in the library.

They got on an elevator, but before it could completely close, a hand stopped the elevator door. When she saw who it was, she immediately turned around, so that that person wouldn't see her. `I can't believe it,' she thought, her heart beating five times its normal rate. `What is HE doing here?'

Yamato sighed. `Whew!! So this is our new... home. Not too shabby. What's this place called again?' and he thought and thought and thought when suddenly...

"What are you doing here? Are you following me or something?" said a familiar voice behind him. But he never thought it was HER. He turned and - uh-oh - it was really her. He gulped.

But he kept his cool composure and instead said, "This is where I live. Maybe you're the one following me."

Mimi smiled, and looking at the digits going up, she said, "Why would I be following you? We own this place."

Yamato went bug-eyed.
