CHAPTER THREE

A Little Trick Goes A Long Way

"About a week ago." Kari said. "Ok, but how did it all start?" Tai asked. Kari giggled

softly then said "I think you should ask Ken and Yolei that." with a bit of sarcasm. "Huh,

what would Yolei and Ken know about this?" Tai asked. "Why don't you ask them that."

Kari said. "Ok." Tai said, then looked toward Yolei and Ken and asked "Hey Ken and Yolei

do you know how Davis and Kari became an item?". Ken and Yolei looked at each other

then both shrugged saying "No we have no idea how they became an item.". Kari looked

over at Ken and Yolei and asked "You two don't remember what you tricked me and Davis

into doing at our little meeting last Monday?".


Ken and Yolei then thought about what Kari was trying to say for a few seconds,until

Ken seemed to remember something, he looked toward Yolei and said "Yolei she means

the little spagetti trick that we played on them on our little DNA partners meeting that we

had last Monday night.". Yolei looked at Ken and said "I don't remember that at all.". Ken

sighed a bit then said "Fine then I'll help you remember it,...It stated when...."


( BIG AND LONG FLASHBACK LAST MONDAY)

Davis, Kari, Ken and Yolei were enjoy the evening outside of a restraunt named

Charlie's located in Odiaba mall. "Man am I ever glad that there weren't any Evil Digimon

attacking us right now." Davis looked at the beautiful night sky. Kari looked over at Davis

who was sitting across from him and had his head fully tilted up so he could see the clear

night sky above him and asked "Why's that Daisuke?". Davis looked at her and said "Cause

for once I can see that there's something just as beautiful as you." he ended with a smile on

his face. Kari rolled her eyes at Davis' attempt to flirt with her then grinned a bit and asked

"And what could be as beautiful as me Dai-Kun?".


Davis blushed very lightly from Kari saying his old nickname that she gave him (She's

not going to make me embarassed, let's see if she'll blush on this comeback) Davis thought

then said "Look up and you'll find out Hika-Chan.". Just as Davis hoped Kari did blush from

him saying her old nickname that he gave her. (Gotcha Hikari-Chan betcha didn't think that

I would remember your old nickname) Davis thought with a grin on his face. "Darn you

Daisuke Motomiya" Kari said still showing a bit of blush. Davis shuckled a bit then said "Hey

your the one who started it, and like they say don't dish out what you can't receieve Hikari."

teasingly. Kari blushed a little more on her friend's point (He is right I did start it, but I really

didn't expect him to comeback it by saying my old nickname that he gave me when we were

in first grade, none the less remember my old nickname) Kari thought.


Davis kept looking at Kari and saw that she was in deep thought shuckled a bit then

said "Let me guess..." Kari then snapped out of her deep thought and started to listen what

Davis had to say "You didn't expect me to counter you're tease by saying your old nickname

and probably didn't expect me to remember your old nickname did you Hika-Chan?" Davis

continued. Kari blushed from the fact that Davis was right. (Darn him how did he know that I

was thinking that, he's not psychic.). Davis giggled a bit from noticing that Kari's blush had

incresed "Oh before I forget ,Hika-Chan." Davis said. Kari again snapped out of her train of

thought and listen to Davis had to say (Even though she knew that he was going to

embarass her some more). "When someone embarass me I tend to make sure that I

embarass them three times as much as they did to me." Davis ended. Kari was blushing so

much that she had to turn away from Davis. Davis saw this, sighed then said "And I'm sorry

for making you blush so much.".


Kari looked at Davis and saw a little regret on his face (He really did mean what he just

said, how sweet.) Kari thought then said "It's okay Davis I deserved it.". "No you didn't, I

should have stop when I first said Hika-chan...oops sorry." Davis said. Kari sighed a bit then

looked over at Yolei (Who was sitting right next to her) and asked "Yolei do you mind

switching seats?" Yolei looked at her DNA partner and asked "Yeah sure, but why?".

"Because I want to applogize to Davis in a proper way." Kari said. Yolei then looked over at

Davis and saw that he was blushing lightly, then looked at Kari and asked "What did you

this time?". Kari blushed a bit then said "I kind of reminded him of his old nickname that I

gave him when we were both in first grade."


Yolei sighed a bit the said "You really should stop teasing him Hikari and just give the

guy a chance to be your boyfriend, who knows he might be the one that you give that

necklace to.". Kari lightly blushed from Yolei's remark about the necklace that her

Grandmother had wanted her to give to the guy who she knew she was going to spend the

rest of life with. "Maybe." Kari said. "Maybe Kari that's all you can say is may..." Yolei started

to yell but was interrupted by Ken saying "Yolei please stop yelling.". Yolei stopped yelling

when she heard what Ken had said. Ken breathed a sigh of relief then turned toward the

people who were watching them and bowed in a apologetic manner "Sorry about that

everybody, she gets excited that way from time to time." Ken said.


One of the people (A young male Teenager) who had heard what Yolei had said, said

"It's ok just try to make that the next time she does that you kiss her before she gets that

excited ok.". The comment that the had made two of them laugh and the other two to blush

a deep red. "Ah that was good." Davis said then turned toward the guy who had made the

remark and said "Hey kid.". The guy looked over at Davis and said "The name's Dante." "Oh

sorry Dante, nice comment." Davis said. "Thanks Gogglehead." Dante said then went back

to eating his food. Davis was a little iratated by the guy, but decided to not respond. He then

looked at Ken and Yolei and saw that they were still blushing and said "Ah don't they make

a cute couple Kari.". "Yeah they sure do I just wish they would stop being as stuborn as Tai

and Sora."Kari replied.


Yolei and Ken then looked at their respected DNA partners and said "You two just

wait..." "Yeah I'm tired of waiting for two to tell us what we are going to have to eat." Davis

complained. Ken and Yolei then remembered that they all hadn't ordered anything due to

Ken and Yolei not deciding on what they wanted to eat. They both blushed and Ken said

"Sorry about that you two." Ken then looked down at the menu that he had in his hands.

"That reminds me Davis."Kari said. Davis looked at Kari and asked "Yeah what's up?" Kari

looked at Davis and asked "Early you said that there was something as beautiful as me

what was it?". "Look up and you'll find out." Davis replied. Kari then looked up and saw a

beautiful clear bight sky "Wow! how bewautiful" Kari said. Davis smiled a bit and said "Just

like you.".


Kari then looked at Yolei and asked "Are you going to switch chairs with me Yolei?".

Yolei looked over at Kari and said "Oh, sorry Kari." Yolei replied. Yolei and Kari then

switched seats so that now Davis was sitting next to Kari and Ken and Yolei was sitting next

to Kari and Ken. "I think I'll aplogize to you by letting you share a big bowl of pasta with me

ok." Kari said to Davis. "Ok sounds good."Davis said. Yolei looked over at Kari and Davis

and grinned, then leaned toward Ken and said "Hey Ken I think I know of a way to get back

at Davis and Kari.". Ken leaned toward Yolei and asked "How?". "When the waiter comes I'll

tell him to mix some of the pasta noodles that are in the big bowl of pasta that Davis and

Kari are going to share ok." Yolei said. "And what will that do?" Ken asked. "If the waiter

mixed enough of the noodles, Davis and Kari start to eat the same one they will

eventually...." Yolei started "Kiss." Ken finished. "Right so should I?" Yolei asked.

"Definitely!" Ken said.

After Ken had finished *reminding* Yolei how they started Davis and Kari's relationship

he asked "Do you remember now Yolei?". "Yeah thanks Ken." Yolei said. "So did they eat

the same noodle?" Tai asked. "You should already know the answer to that question." Davis

said. Sora sighed then said "Yo've got to remember Davis that Tai isn't very good in the

brain department." "Oh yeah almost forgot about that." Davis said. Tai turned toward Sora

and was to say something when someone spoke up.... to be continued

crybaby's and the character Dante is me using my nickname which I got from

people that I know thinking that my attitude is just like Dante's from the Devil May

cry series.
