They went through this routine every once in a while. Suzie would come over to the Matsuki bakery and play video games with Takato. He didn’t mind at all, and when asked about it she told him that it was more fun with him.
“So what do you want to play today?” Takato asked
“How about Tekken.”
“What?” Takato was shocked. “Are you sure? I mean you aren’t that good at fighting games.”
“Aww, what’s wrong? Afraid you’ll lose to a girl.” Suzie said in a taunting tone.
“No way. Let’s go.” Takato led Suzie to his room where they always play.
“Best four out of seven Takato?”
“Whatever. It’s your funeral.”
Takato turned on the game. After skipping the opening and going to vs., they selected their characters.
Takato smiled. “That’s three to nothing. Sure you don’t want to give up?”
“Nope.” Suzie said. She seemed calm even though she had not won yet. “How about we raise the stakes.”
“Umm…sure.”
“If I win you have to do whatever I want.”
“Fine.” Takato held out his hand, which she accepted.
At the select screen Suzie picked Ling Xiaoyu, and Takato picked Lei Wulong.
The final score was 3 wins for Takato and four for Suzie.
“I don’t believe it. How did she do that?”
“Yeah! I won! I won!”
“Okay…so where did you learn how to play like that.”
“From Terriermon.” Suzie said that like it was nothing. When she looked over there was a look of disbelief on his face. “Okay. Henry taught me.”
“So what do you want?”
“We’re going on a date tomorrow.” In a motion that surprised Takato, she kissed him on the cheek. “C’mon let’s play some more.”
“Um…okay.”
