Wolf`s Fang: `My name is Melody'

( Davis' POV)

It a beautiful night today, but most people don't care. The reason for that is that school starts again tomorrow which means my heaven and hell begins. Tomorrow I'll be starting high school with Kari and TK. Ken moved to our school this year. Ever sense he joined the digidestined the two of us have become best friends, now the two of us hang out a lot and Yolei and him are going out, but everyone saw that coming. There is a big surprise though; my best friend Melody is coming to Odaiba. Melody…every time I think of her I can't help, but blush.

Before I moved to Odaiba and met Kari and the others the two of us were the best of friends, we use to do everything together. Melody was a tomboy, which means she wasn't afraid to get mean and dirty and I really liked that about her since most of the girls in my other school were all girly-girls. We were always there for each other, people at school use to say we were a couple, but that's not true even though I really wanted to.

I guess you can say I really liked her or that it was just a crush, but I don't care what they say all I know is that I would do anything for her.

I can still remember that awful rainy day when Melody and I were separated from each other. My dad got changed jobs and we moved here to Odaiba. On our last day before I had to move, Melody started to cry on my chest as she hugged me tight and all I could do was hug her back and cry along with her and as our last goodbye came she gave me my first kiss. I could never stop thinking about that kiss we share, even now.

Melody was a tomboy, but she would always think of others before herself, just like Kari. I guess that's why I fell in love with Kari because her personality was almost like Melody's. When I first met Kari it was like I saw Melody except Kari wasn't a tomboy, anyways after the final battle with MaloMyotismon I realized that Kari didn't like me like so I decided to stop going after her. Everyone always thought I liked Kari for her looks, but it's not true, ok maybe it is, but after I got to know her better I saw how special she was. She was like the light on the end of the tunnel, every time I felt sad all I had to do was look at her and I would feel happy again because I always knew she was going to be there. When I realized that Kari and I weren't meant to be I decided to let her go and just be good friends with her. But I still can't help to have some feelings for her.

“Davis, are you ok?” a voice said.

“Yeah, why do you ask Veemon?” Davis asked to his partner that was eating a chocolate bar.

“Well you look space out is something on your mind?” Veemon asked with chocolate all over his face, I couldn't help, but laugh a little at the sight of Veemon.

“I'm ok Veemon don't worry I was just thinking about Melody and Kari” I answered looking at my ceiling again.

“You mean that girl you've been talking to on the phone ever since we defeated MaloMyotismon?” Veemon asked taking another bite of his chocolate bar.

“Yeah It's been a while since a saw her beautiful face again” I couldn't help, but sigh out loud, “I wonder how will I even know it's her I'm sure she has change over the years”

“Wait, I thought you liked Kari, ever since you got that phone call from Melody all you do now is talk about her and now you usually don't pay attention to Kari like you use to, don't you like Kari anymore Davis?” Veemon asked sitting on my bed.

“You see Veemon when I finish talking to Melody on the phone I started thinking about Kari and the more I thought of her the more I realized that after trying to show that I cared deeply for her all she wanted to be was just be friends with me, so I stopped going after a dream that would never come true” It was all true, sure I still had some feeling for her.

“I see well don't worry Davis I'm sure you'll know who she is when you see her, anyways let`s go to sleep, goodnight Davis” Veemon said as he got under the covers and went right to sleep.

I couldn't help but smile at the sight of Veemon sleeping peacefully without a care in the world. I stared at the ceiling one more time before going to sleep.

(Kari's POV)

Tomorrow I start school again. Things have changed a lot now that digimon live here in the real world. Most people and digimon live happily together, but there are some digimon who cause trouble. Unfortunately some humans do as well. But that will change or so I hope. Like any other human I too have a problem. Well, better say problems named Daisuke Motomiya and TK Takaishi. They're very close friends of mine and I know that they like me, but lately one of them doesn't show it anymore. Davis has changed a lot since he joined the digidestined.

After the defeat of Malomyotismon he made a complete change in everything, sure he's still sort of a hothead and rushes into things without thinking sometimes, but now he starting to act his age. But that's not so good because he doesn't flirt with me anymore. You don't believe it do you? Well I got proof. Last week I asked him to go swimming with me, just him and me, but he turned me down. I would never tell anyone but I was actually heart broken that day. I know, everyone always says that Kari and Davis can't be a couple, but now I actually wish we were one. The only thing that stops me from asking Davis is TK. We were the youngest of the first group of digidestined and became close friends over the years. Our crests are light and hope and the only thing that can be a better "item" are DemiVeemon and a bag of candy. Heck, even our digimon are a little linked together. Angemon and Angewomon. Well dear diary that's all I have to tell you and I had better go to sleep because tomorrow school starts. Everyone thinks that we should be a couple because it's like destiny or something. Maybe they are right; I mean I do like TK.

“Kari.” A voice said.

“I'm coming Gatomon.” I said before I took off my yellow pants and pink-wit shirt and got into my bed. ”Goodnight Gatomon.”

“Goodnight Kari.” Gatomon replied.

(Next Day Davis' POV)

Man I'm so nervous that I didn't even eat this morning, yeah I know it sounds impossible or maybe we entered another universe. The only things that are on my mind right now are Melody and Kari; Melody because it's been so long since we saw each other and Kari because well she's always on my mind.

“Hey Davis we better go it's almost 8.AM.” Veemon said to me.

“Huh? Oh yeah you're right.” I said snapping out of my thoughts. “C'mon hop in.” I told my digimon.

“Davis, why can't I go into the classroom with you?” Veemon asked me. Ever since digimon had started living in our world the schools accepted the digimon of the children who have them. However they can't go in the classrooms, so there is a room made especially for them. Well, we can bring them and visit them on our breaks so I'm not complaining.

“What are you doing there?” I asked Veemon because I felt my backpack moving like crazy.

“Do you think it's easy to fit in this? I'm used to going in as DemiVeemon you know.” Veemon said a little annoyed .I just laughed a little.

I looked at my mirror and so how much I had really changed. I had stopped wearing my goggles a couple of months ago and instead I was wearing a red bandana around my forehead, weird I know, but everyone liked it. My hair was still spike (it looks like adult Goten`s hair from DragonBallGT only more spike). I was wearing a half red and half black hoody shirt, baggy blue jeans with flame designs on the bottom, black wristbands and red and black sneakers.

(Normal POV)

Davis arrived at the school but didn't see any of his friends so he walked around looking for them. After walking for a while he found Cody.

“Hey Cody” Davis said as he approach his friend.

“Good morning Davis, I'm surprised you're here so early” Cody replied.

“Heh heh yeah I know I surprised myself too” Davis replied scratching the back of his head.

“Hey Davis, Cody!” came a voice from behind them.

“Oh hey TK what's up” Davis said recognizing TK's voice.

“Oh nothing, have you guys seen Kari?” TK asked.

“I'm here!” someone yelled out.

“Hey Kari” TK said Kari just smile at her best friend. Kari's hair was now almost as long as Yolei only shorter, she was wearing a pink and white tank top with a yellow skirt. Under her clothe Kari had a great figure, curves and all.

“Well we should pro-”

“DAVIS!” Davis was interrupted by a voice of a girl. Before he could turn around to see who it was that called his name, the girl gave him a big hug and then she gave him a peck on the cheek. Everyone had a big confused face and all Davis could do was blush confused.

`WHAT THE, who is this bitch! Wow did I just say that. I'm actually jealous seeing Davis get kissed by another girl' Kari thought to herself.

“Uh do I…know…you?” Davis asked confused at what just happened, the girl put on a frown like she was disappointed making Davis feel bad inside.

The girl had a very sexy figure, curves and all (she looked like Mimi from Duel Masters). She was wearing a red tank top with a short crimson skirt that only covered half-way up to her knees, and she had red boots on her feet.

“You don't recognize me Davis” the girl look sad, “I guess I must have change more than I thought, hold on a second” the girl took out what look like a tooth or a fang on a necklaces around her neck. “Remember this Davis” the girl said putting on a warm smile.

`NO WAY' Davis thought as he took out a fang like what the girl had, Kari, TK and Cody were confused, “Melody?” Davis asked.

“The one and only” Melody answered.

“MELODY!” Davis yelled as he hugged her and Melody gladly accepted returning his hug. TK and Cody were really confused and Kari was getting really jealous by just looking at them hugging like they were an old married couple.

“I missed you so much Davis” Melody said hugging him harder.

“I missed you too I could never stop thinking about you” Davis replied.

Everyone felt awkward and when more kids came and saw the two hugging they just couldn't help, but stare at the two and before anyone knew it half the school was watching them. After a very long time they hear a snoring coming from Davis' backpack and finally they stopped hugging. When they looked around they saw all the kids staring at them some girls were giggling, the boys were smirking and some other still had that confused look on their faces.

Davis and Melody began to blush of embarrassment, I guess time goes by when you're hugging your best friend that you haven't seen for almost four years. They started smiling nervously and Davis finally answered, “Uh, heh, heh there's nothing to see here folks just two really good friends hugging…for a very long time.”

“Yeah right” one of the kids said and soon they all started leaving. Kari, TK, Cody, and Yolei and Ken (who got there when they saw all the kids and saw Davis' hugging a girl) went up to Davis and Melody who were still blushing.

“Hey Davis who's your girlfriend?” Yolei asked smirking, making them blush even more. Yolei had a very good figure now, lots of guys were after her and Kari, but she's going out with Ken.

“Oh right, she's an old very good friend of mine” Davis replied.

“Hi” Yolei said to her.

“This is Yolei and her boyfriend Ken” Davis introduced them.

“Hello” Ken replied. Ken said he didn't like his hair-style anymore so instead he cut his hair like Tidus from Final Fantasy X.

“Hi Yolei, Davis has to told me all about you Ken, he says you too are the best friends” Melody said.

“Yeah Davis is a great friend” Ken said happy that Davis considered him his best friend.

“This is Kari and TK and Cody” Davis introduced his friends.

“Hi” Cody said.

“Nice to meet you” TK replied.

“Yeah…hi, so what's your name” Kari said with a bit of jealousy in her voice. I think everyone saw that, but they didn't say anything.

Melody just smile sweetly and answered, “My name is Melody”
