I attempt a crossover between Digimon and SE Lain because I felt 'empty' when I finished watching Lain's series.

Stumbles Upon

Ken is walking through the forest, with Wormmon in his arms.A few Kuwagamon fly

among the branches.He looks to his partner.

How could I pay you?

He shifts his view to other part of the forest, reminiscing his past

How could I pay all of you?

As he walks along the trail, he heard whimpers, behind a tree.

He rushes to the sound, to find a Puppymon whimpering beside a girl, who seem to be the

same age as him. He slowly puts Wormmon near Puppymon.

“What happened?” Ken asked.

“I found her here,” Puppymon replied.

“Is she your partner?”he stared to the petite Digimon.

“I don't know,”the Digimon sighed.

“What's your name?” Wormmon asked the Digimon.

“Shine Puppymon. Calls me Shine,” she smiles to Wormmon.

Ken stares to the girl. She wears a white tank top and pair of dark blue jean.

He can feels innocent radiates from her.

“Who are you?”Shine asked.

“Oh, I'm Ken and this is my partner, Wormmon.”Ken smiled.

“Hello, Wormmon,”Shine said.

“Nice to meet you Shine,”Wormmon replied.

The girl wakes, and slowly standing on her feet.

“Are you alright?”Ken asked.

Lain noded“Y-yes.”

“I'm Ken, this is my partner, Wormmon and this is Puppymon.”

“What's yours?”

“Lain.”

Lain looks to three of them, fascinated about the environment around her.

Realistic world

“Where are you from?”Ken asked.

Lain startled“Okinawa.”

Ken stares to her modified Digivice hanging from her necklace.

“You have put it at suitable place,”Ken gazed to her necklace.

She noded.

“If Wormmon is your partner,then is this little , my partner?”

“Yes,I am.Call me Shine,”she said.

Lain takes Shine and helds her in the air,looking to her puppy-eyes.

“You,....adoreable,I like you,”Lain hugged her.

Ken stares to both of them.

They are adoreable

Ken takes his partner.

“I'm travelling through the forest to search fruits for him,”he smiled to Wormmon

“want to join?”

“Let's go,”Lain replied.

Flashback(The Wired)

“Father,I want to help to him.”Lain said.

“You pity him, right?”his father asked.

Lain sighed“Emm.”

“Go now,”her father urged her.

End Flashback.

They stumbled upon a big tree.There're a lot of ripe fruits among the branches.The fruits

are large,they are in the size of a football.

“Here's the fruits Wormmon,”Ken said.

“Thanks..”

“Hey,share with me,”Shine tried to get down but fail, “Lain,can I have them,pweasse?”

“Ok.”Lain put her down.

Wormmon is pushing fruits to fall to the ground.

“Here are the fruits,”he said,watching the fruit fall.

“Thank you,Wormmon,”Shineate them quickly.

Ken looked to Lain“Lain,do you want the fruits?”

“No,”she watched her partner.

Silence fills the forest's atmosphere.Nothing are there except themselves.

“You didn't surprised about this?”Ken asked.

“I knew about it from my sister,”she said.

“It's her Digivice then. Where is she?”Ken asked with accusing tone.

Lain shrugged“Dead.”

“Sorry.”

“It's....al..right,”she fidgeted.

Shine and Wormmon walk to their partner.

“Do you like it Shine?”Wormmon asked her.

Shine noded“It's sweet.”

“Wormmon,let's get back,”Ken called.

"Ken."

"Yes."

He looks to his partner.

"What about Shine and Lain?"Wormmon asked.

He shifts his view to Lain and her partner.

Ken walked to her"Lain,how you enter this world?"

"Through a portal,"she answered.

"Where is it?"

"....."

"Follow me."
