Madison Grande Hotel
Day 2, 11:45 AM
The stretch limo slid up to the front of the hotel, taking up nearly 4 parking spaces. Behind it a taxi screeched to a halt.
Goku unrolled the window at the back of the limo. Slowly, he stuck his head out and scanned the nearby area.
He slid his head back in and rolled the window back up. "Alright... the only way they can get to me is by my sides.."
He pointed both ways down the sidewalk.
"The back alley..."
Goku looked over to a sideroad next to the hotel.
"And from across the street."
All that sat across the street was an office building. An elderly man sat on a bench nearby feeding seed to several seagulls.
Goku formed his battle face. "Only a feat of superhuman speed can pull this off. Just one windsprint to the doors and I'll
be safe."
"Ready.... set...."
Goku peered off both directions.
In the period of 0.43 seconds, Goku blew the door off the limo, and shot up to the hotel stairs, tearing apart all the
asphault beneath him.
He was about to shoot through the doors when he froze.
"Is that you, Goku?"
Duo and Heero both sat behind him. Their limo pulled away.
Gohan and Krillin peered out from the taxi.
"Nope, he's busted." Trunks sighed.
Goku was ready to go Super Saiyan there and then, but breathed to himself. He turned around. "Can I help you?"
Duo stepped up. "Actually, yes. We were wondering if this was the Madison Grande hotel."
Goku eyed both of them suspiciously. "Yes. So?"
Vegeta, sitting in the back seat of the taxi, arms folded as usual, smirked. "It appears the attention's getting to Kakarot."
All four doors of the taxi opened and the Z crew made their way up the stairs and walked into the lobby.
Heero remained neutral. "Ok. Thanks." Him and Duo made their way in.

Deathscythe took another step to the right, flattening a gazebo.
Cloud stood on the ground, shouting into a megaphone. "I guess that lever's for the other foot, then. Try both."
Zidane cranked both levers. Deathscythe, defying physics, lifted both of its feet into the air at once, and fell flat on
its back with an enormous crash.
Several busted water mains pierced through the ground and sprayed water at Cloud. The megaphone shorted out, but he threw
it to the ground before it had a chance to shock him.
Cloud was soaked. "Let me try." he said, angrily.
No response.
"Zidane!" Cloud yelled.
Deathscythe's comm spoke. "I don't know how to open it."
"Forget it!!" Cloud screamed, "I'll use the other one!!"
Cloud climbed up the leg of Wing Zero and jumped onto the opened chest plate of it. The plate clamped shut immediately,
throwing Cloud into the cockpit seat.
"Whoa... ok then, Zidane, you pulled these two levers, so..."
He noticed a trackball inbetween them.
"... never mind, I think I found it."
With a flick of the wrist, Cloud rolled the trackball up.
Wing Zero's jumpjets shot it straight into the air.
"Heeeellllllpp....." Wing Zero's comm yelled before the mobile suit disappeared into the sky.
".... I'm supposing that isn't good." Zidane said.

"WHOOAAA!!! Watch out, a plane hasn'tclearedthegroundanditsheadedstraightFOR UUUUSSSS!!!" Davis screamed.
Everybody turned to the window.
Davis and Veemon sprinted off down the hall to the guest bedroom.
"I think the plane cleared us." Mimi said.
Tai pounded his fist on the coffee table. "Damn it, he did it AGAIN!"
Ken planted his face in his hands. "I don't know how we fall for that every time."
TK focused his attention back on the group. "Davis is just a quiet guy."
Everyone stared at him.
"... I mean, when we're all in a group like this. I don't think he can ever find a way into our conversations when we
just rattle off like we do. He just can't keep up."
Kari turned to him. "Well, isn't there anything we can do about it?"
Tai folded his arms. "Preferably not."
Everyone, even the Digimon, joined in on a hearty laugh.
"You guys can unpack in the room across from the guest bedroom," Mimi pointed out. "My dad got it renovated a couple of
weeks ago. It should be in a little better shape than last time you guys were here."
As everybody trudged down the hall hauling their suitcases and bags over their shoulders, the guest bedroom door
remained shut.
"What's the deal, Davis?" Veemon asked. "Why so secret?"
Davis dug in his bag and took out the PSone. He dug in further and pulled out a back screen for it and latched it on.
"If there's one thing I've learned from alllll of life's experiences, it's that's there's more to life than girls.
There's school, TV, friends, soccer.... and the occaisional video game." Davis said. He tossed Veemon a controller.
Veemon grinned. "That's more like it."
Someone left the hosting room and began twisting the guest bedroom doorknob.
Davis whipped around to Veemon. "Quick! Hide everything!"
Veemon threw the set into the closet. The PS, the screen, two controllers, ... and a wall socket?
"Davis! Are you in there?"
"Yeah, I'll be out in a sec!" Davis yelled.
Veemon glanced at the wrecked section of wall and frowned. "I suppose I could've unplugged it."
Davis threw open the door. "Yeah?"
Mimi stood there. "Hey, Davis? We're going to run downtown for a while. We were wondering if you wanted to come."
Veemon turned from the guest room window. Rain was pounding the ground outside. "Mimi, it's pouring out there."
"There's the problem of a hurricane, but then there's the problem of me running out of pink dye." Mimi chirped.
"Whatever." Davis and Veemon said in unison.
Mimi turned on her heel to leave. "Ok, see you in a while."
The door slammed. TOO hard.
Davis felt uneasy. "Something's going on here..."

Ultimanium stood up and began to make his way to the door. On his way, he picked up the memory card on the table.
Great, he thought, now that one of the groups has left one of their own alone, I can finally issue my challenge to that
individual.
Ultramagnus waited in the hall. "Who's alone?"
"One of the digidestined," Ultimanium spoke. "I'm leaving to initiate their challenge. I'll be back in a while."
Ultimanium bailed out the nearest window. With his cloak flapping in the breeze, he slowly glided down to the street below.
