Day 6, 7:45 PM

Keyvan : It was day number 6 of the Ultimanium ordeal. Everybody waited patiently for the day when they would step out of concealment and face Ultimanium, Ultramagnus and each other at Central Park. Just how are the teams going to handle it?

Trunks collapsed onto his bed. It had been a long day training. Practicing alongside Vegeta had its perks, as his power level had grown more than Goku, Gohan and Krillin combined during the entire week.

"Hey, Trunks. Sacking already?"

Trunks turned to find Krillin in the doorway. Krillin had since returned from his sleepover, and seemed pretty glad to get out of a Truth or Dare session alive.

Vegeta and Trunks had been told about the Scouter Plus by Gohan, who too had returned. He was out right now practicing with the Scouter's absorbing abilities.

Trunks folded his arms behind his head. "Yeah, you know how extreme my father is."

"I don't believe the crap that Ultimanium gave us!" Krillin complained. "A scouter? I have 47 at home! What's an "absorbing ability" going to do to help us?"

"Krillin. Ultimanium provided us the scouter in exchange for a superhuman feat. There has to be some way that it can be applied to match up with the other teams."

"Well, I guess.. but still, I wonder what the other teams got?"

Goku stepped in wearing a bathrobe and holding a coffee mug. "G' morning, guys!"

Krillin sweatdropped. "Deep sleeper? I think so."

The room phone rang. "I'll get that." Trunks said. Don't be mom... don't be mom... don't be mom...

Goku waited patiently. Don't be Chi Chi.... don't be Chi Chi... don't be Chi Chi....

"Huh? Ultimanium? You're serious? Not another midnight run! Damn.. fine... we'll be there."

"What was that about?" Krillin asked.

"Ultimanium," Trunks announced. "Central Park, midnight."

The Wing Zero stood tall in a field outside of New York. Heero dusted his hands off. It was complete... finally complete.

The Buster Rifle Mk.II stuck out from where the original model stood. The coloring seemed out of place on the Wing Zero, but he could ignore that. At least until the end of the competition.

"So what do we do with the original?" Duo questioned.

Heero tossed him a wrench. "Put it on yours."

"But the scyt..."

"Secondary weapon," Heero sighed. "Secondary weapon."

A loud bleep came from the interior of the Wing Zero.

"The comm," Heero shouted. "I'll get that."

Heero climbed up into the interior of the Wing Zero and sat at the control panel. Heero read the message plastered across the array.

"Who's it from?"

"Ultimanium," Heero announced. "Central Park, midnight."

Cloud stepped over the shattered husk of the door. He quickly scanned the room in front of him. The recliners were there. The TV was there. Nothing was missing. It wasn't a thief.

Cloud was about to fall into a recliner when a voice rang out from the kitchen. "Grub's ready!"

Squall, wearing an apron, walked into the living room carrying 2 plates of french fries.

Cloud smiled. "Heeey! Squall! What are you doing here?"

"I came back here to grab the Lionheart." He turned to a gunblade hanging off the wall. The blade of the sword glowed with an eerie blue light.

Cloud broke a beer off the six-pack besides the chair and opened it. "What's going on, did you hear from Ultimanium?"

"Not yet. It can't be long, though."

The phone rang. Cloud jumped for it. "Hello? Ultimanium? You're hosting it WHERE? Whatever. We'll be there."

Cloud hung up the phone.

"Ultimanium," Cloud announced. "Central Park, midnight."

Davis lied still on his bed. Since Ken and Yolei decided to go shopping with the rest of the digidestined today, he had the first chance in the last 3 days to swoon over Kari. His double date with her, Veemon and Gatomon went extremely well. For some odd reason, everything he did was right.

He spread his hands over the surface of the bed... and hit a wet spot.

"UUGGHHH!! AAAHH!!" Davis screamed, trying madly to wipe the residue off his hands.

Keyvan : For lack of better wording.

*Yolei kicks Keyvan in the groin. Keyvan drops to the ground and goes into the fetal position*

Yolei : Step in my personal life again and I'll keep doing it!

Keyvan : (whimpering) sorry.. sorry...

Veemon put down the PS controller and turned the console off. "We moved into the other room for a reason."

Davis didn't hear him. He was too busy watching the celing and dreaming. "Oh, Ka.."

"Davis, do you think Ultimanium rigged the challenge? Like, as if he almost WANTED you to go out with Kari?"

"I feel pretty safe," Davis sighed. "Everybody hates me and wants me to go to hell.. but Kari... oh, Kari..."

Veemon hopped up beside Davis and kicked him in the head. Davis rolled off the bed and landed on the floor with a dull thud.

"Oww!... Veemon! What the hell was that for?"

"Davis, get it through your head! You're being used here!"

Davis brushed himself off and pushed himself up. "Why are you complaining, you practically OWN Gatomon now!"

"Right! And that's not right! No other digimon normally talk to me? Let's get this straight - I'm WEIRD!! No one would have anything to do with me, especially Gatomon! I'm in the same boat as you, Davis... no supposed friends, smudged up dating record, the whole works!"

"But... Kari..." Davis moaned.

Veemon shook his head. "Forget it. There's nothing that's going to get it through to you. Weird occurances are happening day in and day out. Like..."

TK stumbled down the hall and collapsed, spilling his beer on the carpet.

"...like that! Right there! Look at TK! Does he even drink? Where did he get beer? He's being a slob! He's almost.. .. "

"...like me." Davis gasped.

The phone rang. "I'll get it." Veemon groaned. He began to make his way to the phone.

Patamon stood in his way. "What's this about you and Gatomon? I want answers, now!"

Veemon slugged Patamon in the face and tossed him out of his way. He climbed up a kitchen chair and took the phone off the hook. "Hey, if you're looking for Mimi, she... Ultimanium? Yeah, Davis'll be there. I'll tell him right away. Thanx, bye!"

Davis stepped on TK's back to get out of the room. "Hey, Veemon? Who was it?"

"Ultimanium," Veemon announced. "Central Park, midnight."

Izumi stared at the binary coding ahead of him, written on a napkin. He held up Cody's digivice and pressed a button. The information flowed from the D3 and imprinted itself on another Wordpad document in front of him.

He glanced between the napkin and the laptop screen. "....interesting..."

Cody gave Izumi a shove. "What did you figure out, Izzy?"

Izumi reached for his celphone on the desk. He popped it open and tapped in a number.

Veemon was ready to hop down from the counter when the phone rang again. Davis stepped inbetween the chair and the phone and took the receiver. "Hello, Mimi's out right now, but if..."

"Davis? It's me, Izzy."

"Heeey! Izzy! Wazzzaaaaaaap!!"

Keyvan : Sorry, I just had to stick that in somewhere. ;)

"The sky, the occaisional satellite and the moon," Izumi replied. "Alright, I think I figured out what this coding means. What did you say that the memory card was labeled?"

"Quadruple DNA Digivolve."

Izumi snapped his fingers. "That's it. Well, I was comparing the code you gave me with some of the DNA Digivolve coding from Cody's D3, as well as some of the DNA Digivolve coding I copied from Yolei, Kari, TK and your D3s, and I found something."

"What?"

"I found some of Cody's DNA code encrypted in the binary. I also found traces of DNA coding from TK, Ken and your D3s. Theoretically, using all those digivices at once could result in one huge DNA Digivolve and it would create a new Digimon. I don't know where Ultimanium could have possibly got his hands on something like this, but whatever it is, it's authentic."

"Hey, Izzy. Could I ask you a favor?"

"What?"

"I want you to go on the net and check the schedule of the airport in Tokyo. If there's a flight leaving within two ho.."

Izumi shook his head. "No. No! I am NOT falling for that again! Davis, when I checked your account, there was nothing in it! I tried phoning you back but Mimi said you had already left! Knowing it was an emergency, I paid out of my pocket for it!"

Davis sweatdropped. Maybe getting that PSone on the way here wasn't the brightest thing to do.

"No, really! If we don't have Cody here, we can't start the Digivolve! Izzy, swear to God, I WILL pay you back the first chance I get! This is a REAL emergency!! C'mon, be a friend!"

Izumi sighed. "... alright.. but remember.. if I don't get paid back in 2 weeks, I own everything in your room."

"Yeah! Sure! Anything!"

Davis hung up. "We have ourselves a DNA Digivolve."

********

Ultimanium looked off of the stage into the crowd before him.

I don't know what's with these people, he thought. They come here to watch alliances be torn apart... friends to turn against one another... mass destruction.... I wish I could just throw that out the window and concentrate on my true mission.

Ultimanium had switched out of his psuedo-mysterious black outfit and was fitted in a massive suit of white, gleaming battle armor. The massive shoulder blades on the arms threatened to lop anyone's head off that got too close. Inch thick diamond-titanium carbide compound sheeted his entire body. While Ultimanium was never too excited about fights, he sure knew how to prepare for them.

Ultramagnus stepped onstage. "Hey, Ultimanium. You got the invitations out yet?"

"Sure did. They should be here in about half an hour."

"Great. I'd sure like to pound someone. Or at least watch someone get pounded."

Ultimanium looked back out to the audience. They had no idea what he was going through. But he couldn't let that stop him now. The greatest battle of his life stood before him, and he wasn't going to back down, ever.
