Chapter 1
Wherever There's a Party, Ashley Will Be There!
After a fine, home-cooked breakfast, Mirai, a Hobbit/Saiyan/Ctarl-Ctarl, was lying on the couch, Hope was playing with her toys, and Zamba was sharpening her claws.
It was a perfectly normal morning--sun shining, birds chirping, Mirai now snoring.
"ZZZzzzzzz…."
Zamba and Hope decided to go outside and go over some battling techniques.
"Come on and let's go outside, dear," said Zamba, "and bring your bow and arrows. Legolas will be stopping by to give you archery lessons."
" But Mom, I'm scared of Legolas," said Hope in a frightened tone.
"Nonsense, Hope," Zamba replies to her, "now do as I say."
Hope slowly goes to the weapon closet and gets her bow and arrows.
There is a tap at the door.
"Wha-What? " Mirai says, now awake.
"It's Gandalf!" says Hope, seemingly cheerful.
Zamba opens the door and Hope runs out to greet Gandalf.
"Gandalf!" Hope shouted happily.
"Hello, Hope," Gandalf greeted.
"Hello all," he says to Zamba and Mirai, seeing them.
"How are you doing, Gandalf?" Mirai asks.
"Fine and busy as usual," Gandalf replies.
Gandalf walks inside and closes the door behind him. Just then there was another knock at the door. Hope turned a pale green, knowing it was Legolas. Mirai opened the door, revealing Legolas.
" Why, Legolas!" Mirai said, leaning on the doorway; "How nice to see you, Hope is ready!"
"Hope, get your stuff and go outside with Legolas," says Zamba with a stern eye at Hope.
"Ok," says Hope with a pouting lip.
Legolas and Hope go out into the yard for archery lessons.
"So Gandalf, what brings you to town?" Mirai asks.
"Uh, well I came to propose an adventure," Gandalf replies, his face now serious.
"Wha!?" says Mirai wide-mouthed.
"But Hope is too young…and it's too dangerous," says a worried Zamba.
There is another knock at the door. It is Vikki.
"Vikki! How are you," says Zamba.
"Fine….Gandalf!!" says Vikki as she hugs him. "Looks like Legolas and Hope are doing great with their archery. So, wassup?"
"Well Gandalf was proposing a quest," says Zamba.
Vikki falls over anime style.

Legolas and Hope are having target practice on some trees at the edge of the woods.
"Ok, Hope, ready......... aim...... fire!" says Legolas.
A swoosh is heard, then a crash, and then a loud scream is heard.
"AAAHHHH!"
Zamba comes out of the house with an arrow stuck in her hair! It was a close call, any lower and it would have gone straight through her head.
"Hope Briefs! I know you are a better archer than that. The window you broke is coming out of your allowance!" says Zamba.
"I think that's enough lessons for today, Legolas. Come in and have a drink."
Legolas and Hope go in and join the conversation.

The sun was setting and Vikki, Legolas, Gandalf, Zamba, Hope, and Mirai were finishing up supper.
"Hope, please go and take your bath," says Zamba.
A sleepy Hope does as she is told.
"Now, Gandalf please don't talk about the adventure around Hope," says Zamba almost in a whisper.
" An adventure!!" says Hope, overhearing.
In all the commotion there is a knock at the door. It is Ashley.
"Ashley!" says Zamba opening the door and sounding relieved to change the subject of conversation.
"Hey Zamba and everybody," Ashley says, noticing a hobbit-hole full of people.
"Zamba, there was a cockroach on my kitchen floor. I am having my house fumigated. I will be staying here tonight, if that's ok!
Ashley throws in 14 bags, 10 of which contained shoes! Zamba falls over anime style. It looked like everyone would be staying over.
"Yeah! A slumber party," says Hope.
