An `Ancient' Evil

Chapter One: Release

Dende stood on the Lookout in confusion. He was staring at a door with ancient writing scribbled across it.

"Dende!" Mr. Popo called out. "Dende! Where are you!?"

"He's over there!" Informed Aukai as he munched on a cooked fish.

"Mr. Popo, come here." Called Dende.

"What is it Dende?" Mr. Popo asked as he approached.

"What lies behind this door? I've never seen it before!" Dende said.

"The Guardian before Kami said he locked an ancient evil behind it." Mr. Popo said.

Dende put his hand on the door. "How strong!? I wonder…"

"Open it!" Aukai said confidently. "He may have been strong way back when, but now a young healthy Saiyan like me can put him away!"

"I don't know…" Mr. Popo questions.

"Awwwwww… Come on! Don't ya trust me!?" Aukai winked.

"It won't hurt to see, probably dead anyway." Dende said.

Suddenly, Dende spilled his energy into the door, and the symbols began to glow. Then, with a loud `BOOM!' the door burst open. A thick smoky fog poured out of the doorway and spilled off of the Lookout. A shadow stopped forward from out of the fog.

"Hello" Dende greeted. "Your name is…"

"Gyakou" The man said sharply. He was wearing a very loose fitting black robe. The hood was down and his hair was a brilliant white, spiky in the front and extremely short in the back. His eyes were dark black orbs. The way his shoulders humped up, Aukai could tell that he was wearing some kind of armor underneath his cloak.

"Well Gyakou, welcome…" Dende began.

"Who are you!?" The voice commanded

"I'm the guardian of Earth." Dende said.

"Really!?" Gyakou smirked.

Gyakou flicked his arm out and his hand struck Dende in the chin. Dark purple blood flew from the young Namekian's mouth as he flew back and he bounced off of the floor and skidded to a halt. Mr. Popo reached out in shock and quick as lightning, Gyakou's foot hit Mr. Popo in the face, sending him reeling.

"Hey!" Aukai shouted. "What'd you do that for!?"

Gyakou smiled. "'Cause I can."

With a scream, Aukai powered up to Super Saiyan and flew at Gyakou and attacked with a barrage of kicks and punches. Gyakou blocked Aukai's offensive with one arm. He had a bored look on his face. He punched Aukai in the stomach. Aukai flew back and landed in a graceful backflip.

"KaaaMeeeHaaaMeee…" Aukai chanted.

Gyakou smiled.

"HAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Aukai screamed.

A blue blast flew at Gyakou and a second before it hits him, Gyakou disappears. Aukai gasped as his blast hit the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. A strong hand hit Aukai in the back of the neck. Aukai felt/heard an audible crack before he passed out. Gyakou walked over to Dende and kicked him off the edge. Then, he flew off.

Dende's eyes fluttered open and he saw a beautiful brunette with shining green eyes standing over him.

"Are you a Super?…but no gold!?" Dende said woozily.

She looked confused and Dende passed out.
