Chapter 3: Yuna and Her Little Messenger
The female members of the Gullwings walked around a minute, wondering how in the world they were going to battle a being as strong and twisted as Brolly. The monster just wiped out two islands as if they were mere targets, destroying them in two big bangs.
"Wakka…Lulu…Vidina…Dona…Barthello, and anyone else that died…I will find some way for your deaths not to be in vain," Yuna vowed, with the determination that resounded in her voice.
"That's right Yunie, that overgrown baboon will learn never to mess with Spira, or the Gullwings!" Rikku resounded with pride, dancing her little dance. However, Paine looked at the both of them with her candy apple red eyes.
"I don't know if we can beat that thing, not even Sin worked at such a fast pace," Paine said to them calmly, holding back the anger as much as she possibly could. Yuna looked at her friend as if to argue back with her. She decided not to for Paine was a trusted friend to her. Still, she had to ask her a question, but before she got a chance to say it, she felt something. As if something went into her brain, a wave of some sorts entering her mind. Yuna held her head as if trying to struggle it, but there was a discovery.
The wave wasn't hurting her. In fact it was as it was trying it has best not to, and succeeding.
"Yunie, what's wrong?!?" asked her cousin, concerned for her well-being. Paine looked at Yuna and shouted to get her attention, but there was no response. Yuna's vision went hazy, and everything around her slowly became a blur. The world spun around her as she fainted, supported by Rikku and Paine.
"We have to get her to the cabin," Paine said, urgency in her voice as her and Rikku took her down a short hallway to the lift. When they entered a console with four choices lit up. The Al Bhed woman reached over and pressed the button marked "Cabin". The doors closed and the lift proceeded upward toward the Cabin.
The two women, who carried there friend, took her to the automatic door. The small entryway opened.
It was a small room with a little round table to the immediate left of the entrance and a picture of an angry bald-headed man shaking his fist above the table. On the right was two Hypello, a race of slim people with there eyes large on the top of there heads, oversized three finger hands, and blue skin with froglike feet.
"What'sh wrong with Mish Yoona," Barkeep asked from the counter, he was the male Hypello.
"Ish she hurt?" Darling asked the two women. Paine and Rikku nodded and walked her to the staircase, both of them underneath her arms, which supported the High Summoner. They walked up and put her in the middle bed in that row of five beds on the cabin. The normally peppy blonde-haired woman sat on one bed, while the normally calm silver-haired one sat on the bed, on the other side of Yuna. Both watched her with apprehension, hoping nothing bad has happened to her.
Meanwhile inside Yuna's Dream
The lady walked around a field of flowers. The same field of flowers she stood in where she met Shuyin, a man that looked a lot like the man from Zanarkand. The pyreflies sounded out their haunting cry, as if they were miniature ghosts haunting everything in the Farplane Glen. She walked around aimlessly, the flower petals flying through the air as she looked around to see anyone.
"Where am I…Am I dead?" she asked herself aloud. Just then, a small creature seemingly appeared out of thin air. It was mostly white with small purple wings on its back. Its eyes were small black orbs out of his eye sockets, and had a very pronounced violet nose. The feature that stood out the most was the large pompom coming from antennae on top of his head. The little guy said "Kupo," in its small voice. Yuna walked to the little monocle and scratched underneath its chin, earning a small giggle from the little creature.
The white animal then floated away straight ahead, the stardust coming down everywhere he flew.
"Wait!!" yelled Yuna, chasing after the moogle. The little one flew further and then pyreflies began steaming out of it. As those little lights began to come out of it in droves, a huge mist came out of the small creature. A flash of light came out of it, and caused the High Summoner to cover her eyes. The creature was gone when the woman opened her eyes. The gray mist lingered over the field of flowers for many minutes, dissipating very slowly it seemed. As it stayed there, a figure walked out from the smoke.
'Hopefully it doesn't hurt me,' begged Yuna in her mind, not knowing what to do about the shadow walking her way. All of the sudden, the shadow stood still, it squatting in position. A scream came from the mist just ahead of Yuna. The landscape began to shake.
'Oh no, hopefully he doesn't attack," Yuna thought as she tried to steady herself against the shaky ground. The shadow screamed out, the mist dissipated with every second he powered up. With one last scream, the smoke cleared and a figure stepped forward.
A male, about eighteen appeared, with spiky blond hair and one spike hanged downward onto his forehead. His gi was a dark purple with a red sash around his waist. A golden, fiery aura surrounded him as he stood there and gazed at the former summoner with his turquoise eyes, standard for a Super Saiyan, but Spirans have never seen one before. The flowers around him shaked violently as the golden flame flared, sending small shockwaves throughout a small area, before stopping them, but the aura around him still flared.
Yuna just stood there in shock. She couldn't place the words to describe the moment she saw in front of her eyes.
'My! w-what is he?...Who is he?...What's he doing here?" she questioned in her mind as she began to take a step toward him. The young man looked at her with a stern stare as she walked forward. As she took a few paces forward....
The young man asked ,"Are you Yuna?"
The half Al Bhed-half Spiran stopped in her tracks. She tried as best as she could to stay composed as she nodded to him. The young golden-haired man smiled, then went back down to normal, his black hair coming back, along with his coal black eyes.
'Wait a minute, once he was a blond, and now he's black headed.....what is he I wonder,' she thought to herself. Then, with a smile on his face he walked to Yuna as she began to walk toward him. She didn't know why, but in her mind she wanted to trust this one. The two slowly stepped toward each other then they weren't as much as six inches away from each other when they stopped.
Cobalt eyes met with the one green eye and one ocean blue eye as if they were trying to look into each other's soul. Yuna tried to smile as she looked at this new man in front of her, but she couldn't help but be slightly frightened at him.
"Who are you?" she plainly asked him. The black haired man looked at her and politely introduced himself, doing the Japanese standing bow of respect to her as he introduced himself.
"I am Gohan," he said to her very non-threateningly. Yuna was surprised at the tone.
"I can help, and I will be here shortly," he said to her.
"What do you mean.....Gohan?" she asked him apprehensively.
"Yuna, my friends and I are the only hope against that thing that terrorizes your world," Gohan told her plainly. She was taken aback by this young man's claim.
"How do you know this dangerous person?" she asked him. Gohan looked at her for a minute, before he said this to her.
"I'll tell you when I arrive in Spira, which won't be long now," he said to her. Yuna didn't take this as an answer when she went close to his face.
"Why don't you answer my question, Gohan, if that is your real name?" she shouted in his face. Gohan always seemed to have the ladies scream at him for some reason.
"I would tell you Yuna, but it's time to wake now and I can't," he grinned sheepishly. All of the sudden Yuna was slammed back into reality and shot out of her bed, which startled Rikku and Paine.
"Yunie, what's wrong," Rikku cried, concerned for her cousin.
"I had the strangest dream," she answered with her hand to her chest.
"What was it about?" Paine asked her.
"Well...there was this- this man, about our age, that had this strange ability," she said, then went on telling them about the entire dream, from the moogle to, what was in her mind, the strangest man she'd ever seen.
"So, how cute was this Gohan?" Rikku asked teasingly. Paine just groaned and mumbled something on how predictable Rikku was on such a subject.
"What, oh Paine don't have a cow." she grinned toward her.
"Well, Rikku...he was well...handsome," Yuna admitted to the two of them.
"Well, well, in what appearance, blond or black haired?" she asked with interest. Before Yuna could answer, an alarm went off.
"Gullwings! Report!" screamed Brother into the PA system. Rikku groaned because she didn't get to hear the juicy details about this Gohan. Paine just took it as a sign of relief and ran to the lift. Yuna and Rikku followed Paine to that spot and on the controls pressed "Bridge".
The small lift rose up until it stopped at the hallway that leads to the bridge. The three young women ran, the doors opened, and they leapt off of the platform to the center, where brother stood.
"Brother?! What's wrong!" Yuna said in a panic. Buddy however interjected.
"There are reports of five people entering Guadosalam through the Farplane," Buddy stated. Yuna stood there in her tracks almost like she was frozen.
"Check the commspheres and see," interjected the little genius Shinra. Yuna ran over there and looked at the viewer.
The scene was in the living room of the Guado Manor/Chateau Leblanc. There was much food around the place and the white crystals hung above. Two boys were eating to there heart content while an old man whose hair was green, messy as if he had an eternal bedhead look asked questions with a certain figure. The old man's face had veins coming down it and his eyes matched the color of his head. His hands had long fingers with dark green nails, and his robe was a dull pink with blue baggy pants on him.
"Well, you certainly don't have a feel of an unsent, young one," the old man told a familiar looking man. As the commsphere zoomed in on the person he had a conversation with, Yuna gasped.
"That's him," she said.
Rikku looked at him intently.
"You're right Yunie, he's cute," Rikku pointed out, earning a blush from Yuna.
"Luckily, I turned off the audio from our side, or else they would have heard us...the green one looks kind of interesting, never seen anything like that one before," Shinra added.
"I'm going down there, anyone coming with me," Yuna said as she went to tell Buddy to teleport her to the white sphere in Guadosalam. The other two females followed there friend on the teleport pad and disappeared from the ship.
