Zzzzz…zzz…daddy…come back…dad me and mom miss you please come back… “Huh was that…was that a dream?” David said wearily. “Where am I?” just then the truck came to a screeching halt and some clothes fell on his head. “Ow!!! Man that hurt!!!” he said as he rubbed the back of his head suddenly he realized he had moved away from Johto and was in the back of the moving truck he just sat there and had quick flash backs on what happened before he moved when the truck doors were open and the bright light poured in on him. “David were here Hoenn now, I hope you didn't mind sitting in the back.” said his mom Brimming with sarcasm he said “Ohhh of course not, I just love it back here ohhh, I love the smell of exhaust fumes, getting hit by boxes and laying my back against the cold hard steel.” interrupted before going further into detail she steps in and says “Oh please it couldn't have been that bad, you're overreacting.” “I am not overreacting, besides where's dad? I don't see him anywhere and where is this city's gym anyway, is it that big building over there?” he then points over to the big building a mile away on a hill. “Come on mom lets go check it out, I can't wait to finally see dad again.” “Well maybe you should unpack first, ok honey.” “Sure mom” They both enter the house and observe its beauty. “Wow, look at this place it's amazing.” David interjected “Yeah I know I didn't expect it to be this good, it's a lot better than our old house… oh cool an upstairs lets go check it out.” his mom replied “Maybe later honey, go ahead and choose one of these rooms and unpack your stuff then come downstairs later when you're done.” “Sure” he gathers his stuff together goes upstairs and starts unpacking when he pulls out an old clock and starts thinking. “Hey I remember this my dad gave it to me when I was little but I never really got a chance to put it up and it got lost under all the junk I had…I wonder does it…does it still work.” He then plugs in the clock and sets it and goes downstairs. “Hey mom I finished unpacking so how about we go around town.” as David walked down the steps he came upon a couple of Machoke moving the furniture. “Oh David I see your done unpacking I can explain about the Machoke they are from the Poke` Mover Company you know Pokemon movers are very efficient now a days…sorry honey I can't go with you I have to make sure they move everything into the right place, but you'll ok by yourself right?” David replied “Sure I will mom.” His mom then said “But just in case here you go…” she pulls out some money and hands it to him “This should be enough just in case you get hungry…oh yeah I have been saving this for you” she then hands him a watch. “Here, it came back from the shop on Friday it's already set and everything, now you be good.” She bends down and hugs him then kisses him on the cheek and David starts blushing uncontrollably. “Mom cut it out it your embarrassing me, besides someone might be watching us.” “What's the matter your afraid people will know you love your mom.” “No that's not it's just that I… gotta go, bye.” With that David storms out of the door while his mom thinks to herself “Kids these days… always in a hurry, I hope he'll be ok.” Meanwhile…“Man this town is bigger than I thought it was…hey look there's a sign it reads “welcome to Littleroot town, a town that can't be shaded any hue.” well that's kind of interesting …well better get moving I gotta find Dad.” He continued on, walking toward the building he located on the hill until it was only a few yards away when he heard something in the bushes. “W-Who's there.” But there was no answer. “I'm warning you show yourself right now.” A voice replied “what will you do if I don't.” as the figure stepped from the bushes and started to approach him slowly. Now curious to whom the figure was he asked “who are you?” finally the figure stepped out of the shadows and it was a girl his age with a red bandana with white poke` balls on it a red shirt with black around the neck of it and a white shirt under it that was clearly longer than the red shirt and tight black shorts half of it covered by the shirt she had black socks and red, yellow, and black shoes on brown hair with three bangs in front and two long bangs at the side of her face that were slightly curled at the ends, blue eyes, gloves that were white at the palms and black at the fingers, and a bag strapped around her hips. Answering the question she said “My name is May, May Birch what's your name?” snapping out of his apparent trance he replied “Oh…umm…my name is David, David Wakamaru. Well it was a pleasure meeting you May but I got to get going, you see I'm looking for my father he's supposed to live close to this city…” “Well maybe I can assist you, that is only if you can assist me…you see I'm looking for my Dad as well maybe you can help me look for him, do we have a deal?” May said reaching out her hand waiting for him to shake it “Ok May, it's a deal.” David then reached out and shook her hand and made their way toward the building while on route to the building they made small talk. “So, David you're not from around here are you?” “No, why?” “I was just wondering because I haven't seen you around here before.” “That's because I just moved here today.” “What!?! You're kidding right?” he shook his head no. He then starts talking about his life before he moved to Hoenn “Wow that was just awful, yet so romantic *sniffle* *sniffle*.” May pulls out her hanky and wipes her tears of sympathy away and says “Come here you.” hugs him very tightly which caught him off guard David thought to himself “Well damn here we go again…I've been here for less than a day but I already have a girl, that I just met no less hanging off of me, am I destined to be surrounded by women? Or is it the axe deodorant I sprayed? Or maybe, just maybe it's me, yeah the ladies know what they want, I just hope and pray she doesn't have a boyfriend like Sheri…she hasn't let go yet!!! I can't breathe!!! Out of breath He said “Let go of me, can't breathe…fading.” She finally let him go and tried to help him off the ground but he was too heavy and she fell on top of him knocking the wind out of him and he stopped breathing “Oh, no he stopped breathing what am I going to do.” While straddling his waist she thought to herself “maybe I should give him mouth to mouth and get it over with…wait did I think that I mean I just met the poor guy…well it looks like I have not other choice…well here goes nothing.” She then bent down and kissed him very deeply and forced her tongue inside his mouth when he regained consciousness and started squirming until she “dismounted” and disengaged from her so called “CPR” and wiped her mouth but David on the other hand was pissed “Dude, what the hell was that!?!” She calmly and innocently stated “CPR what do you think it was?” “Since when do you do CPR with tongue?” “Hey it woke you up didn't it, you should be thanking me.” “For what it's your fault I was even in that predicament in the first place.” “Screw you I'm leaving ok, so get lost.” “Oh really classy, you get pissed at me because of something you did.” You're a damn fool you know that? You just don't understand…” *under his breath* “Psycho” *under her breath* “Jerk” *at the same time* “what did you say!!!” *same time again* “you want a piece of me!!!” *same time again, again* “well bring it on!!!” That's when David realized this argument wasn't going anywhere “Ok, now this getting ridiculous, I'm declaring a truce, don't you see were supposed to be out there looking for our fathers, not bickering like idiots.” “*sigh* as much as I don't want to admit it you're right David, ok truce.” “Well what are we waiting for lets go.” And with that they continued on until they finally reach there destination. “Wow this place is bigger than I thought it was.” “Yeah, people that aren't from here say that a lot.” “I can't wait lets go inside…umm ladies first.” “Oh come off it, besides this is an automatic door.” *sigh* “Boys...” “Welcome to the Littl…” rudely interrupting “Yeah, yeah, yeah I know already it's the Littleroot Pokemon Gym, wow this place has a lot of computers he must run a steel type gym…” *slaps forehead* “You must be kidding me.” Then a guy in a white coat walks over. “Oh hi May how have you been lately, oh yeah who's this with you, your boyfriend?” May replied “Fine and he's not my boyfriend he's a guy I met a little while ago when I was looking for dad.” “Yeah, “met” anyways my name is David Wakamaru son of Norman Wakamaru, the leader of this Gym, and let me just say it's a great honor…” interrupted by the worker dude. “Uh, wait a minute kid this isn't a gym, and besides I'm a scientist, not a gym trainer.” “Well that would explain the lab coat, so this isn't a Gym?” *anime backdrop* “Well duh, ya think.” “So where's the gym out back.” *Everyone anime back drops except David* *recovers* “How could someone be that dense?” May asked “I don't know…Hey, wait a minute; you're the son of Norman aren't you?” “Yeah, why?” “Then your father must be the new gym leader of the Petalburg city gym.” “Where's Petalburg city?” “About one day's walk from here.” “What!!! One day's walk away!!!” “One hour away if you drive at 50mph or fly on a Pokemon.” After hearing this head fell in defeat “Darn.” “I'm sorry David.” “It's ok May… I'll be fine.” “Oh yeah before I forget your father left you a note.” “I can't believe this guy is he serious? I can't believe he's the son of the Gym leader of Petalburg city and I heard his father was an extraordinary Gym leader and he's already made a name for himself in a few days… but it's hard to believe *looks over at David making a fool of himself* this is the son of a Gym leader.” “Is that note for Me.” “No.” “Awww man.” “*reads note*Ahuh, ahuh, ok according to this note he went out to research on route 101 and he will be back soon.” Scientist dude said “I'm getting kind of worried May, he left that note four hours ago and I haven't seen or heard from him since.” May said “Hmm... well at least we know where he might be so let's go David.” “Alright you lead the way May.” “You two be careful out there and good luck.” *David and May simultaneous* “Thanks and we will.” They both stepped out of the door and headed back to Littleroot town. They finally reached Littleroot town. “It's good to back home even if ya only lived here one day you know what I mean May.” “Yeah it is, but let's not lose focus here ok.” “Loosen up May it's not like he's in trouble or anything.” Just then there was a voice yelling “I'm in trouble!!!” “Hey that sounded like dad.” Exclaimed May “Well it not like he's being chased by something.” Voice: “I'm being chased by something!!!!” “It's not like he needs our help or something.” Voice: “I need your heeeelllllppppp!!!!!” May now very pissed *Kicks him in the stomach* “Need anymore convincing David!?!” very painfully “No.” “Good, now come on.” *still rolling in pain* *moves him with her foot* “Oh come on I didn't kick you that hard…stop being a pansy and come on!!! My dad needs our help!!!” He slowly gets up and follows her as she went into the forest of route 101. “Come on I know you can move faster than that.” “You try getting kick in the stomach and let's see how you feel.” “What was that?” “Nothing.” “That's what I thought.” The voice “Somebody, anybody hellllppp!!!” “The shouting is getting closer.” “Wow you're a regular Sherlock Holmes.” said May sarcastically “Can it May.” said a very irritated David. They continued on route 101 following the voice until they found the source they were standing on a ledge when they found him. “Dad!!! What are you doing in that tree!?! Come down from there right now before you hurt yourself!!! “I think I'll get hurt even if I come down.” “What are you talking about?” he then points to a small dog-like creature with a gray body, black paws, muzzle, and ears and sharp fangs. “Hey that's a Poochyena and it looks very angry!” “There's more than one David, look.” *Looks down from the ledge at a second poochyena*“Hey you're right, there are two.” “Daddy I'm scared what are we going to do?” “Calm down May, now listen to me do you see my brown satchel lying over there on the ground?” “Yeah, why?” “Because there are some poke balls with Pokemon inside of them, and when you get one of the poke balls I want you to throw it at the ground and battle the poochyena I'll make myself bait and distract them.” “I don't want to daddy.” “There isn't much time you simply must do it May.” “But” “No but's just do It.” David bravely steps in “Don't worry May, I'll help you through this, trust me.” “Ok…” “On the count of three we will slide down the ledge sir so get ready to come down, ok.” “Ok…” “One” “Two” “Threeeeee.” David and May slid down the ledge and David grabbed the satchel “Ok, I got it now what?” “*pant* *pant* since there's two poochyena *pant* *pant* your going have to battle with two poke ahhh Mon hurry!!!” “Here May I'm taking this Pokemon you take this one.” “Ok.” *At the same time* “Poke ball goooo!!!” they threw their poke balls at the ground and a flash of white light came out of them and one formed into a blue Pokemon with a fin on its head orange cheeks and was on all four legs “Wow what a cool Pokemon.” The other formed into a small orange bird with a small but sharp beak. “Wow its sooo cute!” “Focus May!!! Call out one of its attacks!!!” “Which are?” Said May “Mudkip use water gun now!!!” said David “What!!!” exclaimed May. The water gun hit its mark and dealt a critical amount to one of the Poochyena. “May Torchic is a fire type so use moves like ember or you can use peck any of those moves will do ahhh!!!” “Ok dad, Torchic amber!!! Let's go!!!” *Everyone sweat drops* “Ok then use peck attack.” *It Runs towards Poochyena but it dodged and Torchic pecks a tree* *David and May's father both slap forehead* Both Poochyena used tackle on Mudkip but Mudkip dodged them both by jumping back on the first one and flipping over the second “Good job Mudkip now counter attack with water gun!” “It launches it water gun and knocks out the Poochyena it hit earlier leaving only one more Poochyena to go. “David let me handle this I know I can do this let me battle on my own.” “Ok May, return Mudkip” A red beam shot out of the poke ball and it transferred it back in inside… meanwhile “May concentrate you can do this I believe in you.” “Ok lets goooo, now torchic tackle!!!” “Torrrchicccc!!!” it scores a direct hit but Poochyena got up and retaliated with a bite attack and bites Torchic's wing and it squeals in pain “Oh no Torchic!!!” “Don't give up May Torchic is depending on you.” “You're right, Torchic Ember attack on Poochyena!!! Let's goooo now.” *It takes a deep breath* It sprays a flurry of fire that ignited when the embers touched together hitting Poochyena with full force singeing its fur *puffs out smoke after attack* and causing it to run away whimpering. “Yay I won!!!” *runs over and hugs her dad* “Dad… I was so worried *sob* what were thinking!?!” “Its ok May I'm fine now, but you *points at David* you were remarkable, I can't believe that you handle Pokemon so well at a young age and I can tell that you have a lot of potential but I never seen you around here before… so tell me who are you?” “My name is David Wakamaru son of Norman Wakamaru Gym Leader of Petalburg city Gym.” He stated in an almost gloating manner “What!!! You're the son of Norman!!! *starts examining closely* but you look nothing like him… but him being your father might explain some things like your excellent battling capabilities…say how about you and May meet me later at my house, I gotta give you something for your heroic deed.” “Ok I will.” “Oh yeah there's some new people that have just moved here… make sure you two say hello, alright.” “We will dad.” “See you two later bye.” “Well David I'm going to hang around route 101, Ok, I'll see ya around.” “Ok bye May.” With that he returned home only to find his mom glued to the TV as soon as he walked in. “David, David come quick they're doing a news report at dad's Gym!!!!” He quick ran to the TV only to find the news report to be over. “Oh darn, you just missed it too bad… so… how was your day today?” he smiles and says “Awesome!!! I like this place already!” “Well that's good…oh and David don't worry you'll see him soon I promise…” “Ok mom.” “In the meanwhile you should go give our new neighbors a visit, Ok.” “Alright.” As he made his way through the his mother tells him “Dinner's at 6:00 so don't be too long alright!!!” “I won't.” (Authors note: When it comes to food you never had to worry about him, he was always on time for dinner and usually had seconds and thirds and nothing absolutely nothing could tear him away from “HIS” food and when he doesn't eat which is rare let's just say things get ugly.) And so he walked to the closest house which was about three yards away and rang the doorbell when a woman asked in a cheery voice “Who is it!?!” “My name is David Wakamaru and I just moved in today next door, May I come in?” *she opens the door* “Sure you can sweetie.” He marvels at their house's interior. “Wow you have a beautiful home here.” “Thank you. What a handsome and polite young man. How old are you?” “I'll be ten in a few months, Why madam.” *Obviously flattered by the compliment* “Actually it's ma'am I'm married, and I have a daughter your age, she's upstairs right as a matter of fact.” She yells upstairs “May! The new neighbor's here and he's coming upstairs to meet you!” “Okay Mom!” “Oh David honey would you like some snacks?” “No thank you ma'am I'm fine.” *Stomach growls* “Ok maybe a little snack won't hurt.” “That's good because now you get to taste my world famous apple pound upside down cake!” “Apple what!?!” “Just try it you'll love it come on puh-lease*big puppy dog eyes*!” “*Caving* all right just one bite.” “Oh goodie!!!” *takes one bite and makes a face* “Wow this is really good!” “See I thought you would like It.” *Shoveling cake down his throat at record speed* “My, you sure do have a healthy appetite.” “*Licks plate* Man *slurp* that hit the spot.” *Clearly astonished yet full of herself* “I know my cakes are good but that…that WAS an entire cake.” “Yeah I know uhh…got milk?” *anime face fault* *Recover quickly* “You should go upstairs May's still waiting, and while you do that I'll make another cake, it's the second door to the right you can't miss it.” “Thanks for the cake” He said as he made his way upstairs and approached her bedroom door he then cautiously knocks on the door *knocks on door* “Who is it?” *whispers “Who do you think?”* “Umm I'm the new neighbor.” “Ok, come on in.” he slowly opens the door to find her glued to the computer screen she notices the door had opened and quickly click off of the program she was looking at raising some curiosity of and with a smirk he stepped inside “Hello new neighbor my name is May, what's youurrss David!!! Why the hell are you here?!?” “Well ya see the funny thing is…” “And where the hell is the new neighbor?!?” she rudely interrupts “…umm I am the new neighbor…” “You have got to be kidding me is this a joke ok, enough games bring him out right now!” “But I already told you he is me.” He said with a huge smirk on his face “This can't be happening, how…how can you of all people could be my next door neighbor?” “Yeah, well now that we are acquainted, again, maybe you can tell me a few things about yourself like what you're hiding on the computer.” “Uhh…nothing, I'm not hiding anything.” “*in his most sarcastic voice*Yeah, right, well if that's true then let's have a little look-see.” “Take one more step towards that computer and your ass is mine.” *His smirk turning into a hentai-like grin*“You would like that wouldn't you?” “Why yes I would…uhh, er I mean no dammit you tricked me you son of a bitch!” *Going it one his “trademark” smirks*“I knew it!! I knew you couldn't resist all of this!” getting pissed yet slightly aroused. “Get over yourself!” “I can't help the fact that the ladies want me because know what they want!”*He then starts moving toward the computer*“Why you little fucker!!! You must really want to die!!!” “Yeah right, let's see what you got here, *looks up* Holy Shhhiittt!!!!*Gets tackled with tremendous force, knocking him down with her on top* “I told you to stuff alone but nooo, you had to mess with it anyway.” “*Weakly*I just wanted to know what you were hiding from me, I didn't expect to tackled.” “Humph, serves you right.” “I'm sorry for being a jerk I just wanted to get to know you better.” He said as May began to lean forward getting closer to his face. Just as she was two inches away from his mouth, locked into a passionate stare their hair starting to tangle together he said “I hope we can be friends rather than acquaintances, alright. “Sure we can be friends…” Just then the door opened revealing her father in the doorway with a slightly shocked, appalled, angry, yet understanding look on his face. “Dad! This is not what it looks like.” “I know I overheard your conversation.” “*Blush* Daddy how could you? Can't I have some privacy!?!” “Well if isn't the prodigy, how ya been.” “Fine sir, but didn't you say that you had something for me?” “Oh yes I nearly forgot, here.” *Puts something in his hand* “But this…this is a poke ball, I'm sorry but I can't accept this.” “Go Ahead take it, it yours.” “I can't I haven't earned it yet…besides I'm only nine and I haven't even finished school yet.” “Very well then, if you change your mind…I'll be at the lab...you have a great talent, use it for the good of all people, not for evil deeds… do you understand?” “Yes sir I do.” Good, Oh and May you did ok for your first Pokemon battle, well I'm going downstairs May go ahead and wash up for dinner.” “Ok.” “It was nice meeting you again, neighbor*leaves*.” “Well I better get going or I'll be late for dinner.” “Wait! David, I still have one question.” “*Puts hands behind his head and closes his eyes* Fire away.” When we were battling how did you know the name of that Pokemon and its attacks if you never battle with and never seen that Pokemon in life?” “Well that's because the Pokemon said its name when it came out of its poke ball *flashback to the Pokemon saying its name* and it was blue like water so I came to realize since most water types are blue that it was a water type.” Wow I never thought about that way.” “*cocky smile with hands still behind his head opening one eye* Of course you didn't after that horrible performance.” “Hey I'm new at this ok.” “I've already have been taught this stuff in my old school, from battle techniques to combat training and simulations, well I answered your question sooo can I go?” “Sure go right ahead *he walks out of the door* Good riddance ya pest! *slams door*” as he walks home he stops and takes a moment to look at the beautiful sunset. “Well so ends my first day in Hoenn…I wonder what tomorrow has in store for me…will I see my father tomorrow? Well I better not worry about that too much I better get home on time for dinner or mom WILL kill me! With that he runs home awaiting his second day in Hoenn…

 

Sorry I took so long but I had a lot of stuff to do and getting ready for turkey day didn't exactly help either and I had to paint my bathroom…but enough I hope it not to long and that you enjoyed it and please write and review this fic.
