CHAPTER 7
Serena noticed that the one that seemed to know them had wild, jet-black hair just like one of the adults. The two wore the same clothing, a blue undershirt and belt with an orange gi. It had a symbol on it, but she couldn't tell what it said. No doubt father and son. The other boy with lavender hair stood proudly by a short man, who still happened to be taller than Lita and herself. The boy had on a greenish blue gi with an orange belt and orange boots. The man he stood next to had a scowl on his face. He wore a blue with white boots and gloves. His hair defied all the laws of gravity. She guessed that was Vegeta. To the right of the man with the orange gi stood a tall, teenaged boy. He had short, black hair and was wearing a goofy smile, laughing at the enthusiastic child. Next to him was a girl with short, black hair with the word 'Videl' written on her shirt. Then there was this woman with blue, shoulder length hair walking beside Vegeta and another woman with black hair tied up in a bun.
"Goten, leave the girls alone." Gohan pulled the boy back.
"Hi, I'm Goku," the man with the orange gi said, sticking out his had. Serena gratefully shook it.
"I'm-" Serena began.
"We know all about you. Kakarot's brat gave us a full synopsis of you."
"You must be Vegeta," Lita stuck out her had. Vegeta stared down at it with disgust. Sailor Jupiter quickly brought her hand back and muttered 'jerk'. Vegeta heard, but smirked when the girl's own ally elbowed her sharply in the stomach and gave her a stern look. He decided that he liked this girl who was willing to give him the respect that he deserved as a prince.
"Let's go back to the temple. I'll explain everything there." Sailor moon spoke softly. She still had trouble accepting the fact that her parents were murdered and her brother's gone, but she didn't want to cry in front of them. They started walking towards the temple when Vegeta suddenly flew in front of them.
"Wouldn't it be faster to fly?" he asked.
"We don't know how to-" Sailor Moon shrieked, which was amplified by the things in her hair, when she realized that she was up in the air.
"Stop screaming in my ear, girl!" Vegeta demanded, scowling. When she didn't stop, he smirked, suddenly letting go of her. She fell through the air at an amazing 9.8 meters per second, screaming bloody murder. When Vegeta thought she had enough, he caught her, just in time before hitting the ground. "Do I make myself clear?" he asked, grinning. She nodded, clinging to him for dear life.
"Which way do we go?" Goku asked. Goten was holding Sailor Jupiter by the arms, bothering her with many questions, so Lita didn't have a chance to answer. Serena pointed north and described the place. In about two minutes, they were back at the temple. Vegeta was the first to land, followed closely by Goku with Chichi in his arms, Gohan and Videl, Trunks who was carrying his mother, and lastly, Goten and Jupiter.
Sailor Moon collapsed to the ground, her heart still beating fast, going back into her original state. Jupiter sighed as she joined her friend, as she turned back into Lita. Serena ran inside, motioning the others to follow.
"Raye? Amy?" Serena called out, walking gracefully to the fire room where Raye was bound to be. Amy was waiting outside the room for Raye, sitting against the wall while reading a book. She glanced up from the paperback and gasped, standing up immediately.
"Oh," she said, a little intimidated by the way the Saiyans looked.
"This is-"
"Sailor Mercury!" Goten jumped up and down. Serena giggled at the sight this child made. He seemed so carefree and innocent. She hoped he would never change.
"That's Goten," Serena pointed at him. "That's Goku, Vegeta-"
"humph-"
"And they are…" Serena didn't catch their names.
"Gohan and Chichi, my older son and wife," Goku explained. "and Gohan's girlfriend, Videl."--They blushed-"Then there's Bulma and Trunks, Vegeta's wife and son. Bulma's the brains of the outfit." He smiled at his comment, but it quickly faded when Vegeta glared at him.
"Seems you and Bulma should get along just fine, Amy," Serena laughed.
Amy nodded her 'how do you do's and bowed slightly to them.
"Where's Raye?" Lita asked, looking around for the familiar raven haired girl. Amy indicated towards the room, and Lita bobbed her head in understanding.
"She wants to find out a little more about Kakou…and where she is from. She's been in their since you guys left while I watched the news. The reporters said the storm was over and gave a small report of our school, and they say fires are spreading still throughout the country. They also said that people are being shredded apart in their own homes. There have been approximately one thousand deaths in this country, thirty of them from the murders. They said that this was beginning to happen all over the world." Serena's eyes narrowed in anger, but there was nothing she could do about it now, so she tried to relax.
"Where's Luna?" she asked through gritted teeth.
"She's still resting. Raye told Chad to watch for her," Amy answered as the door slid open and revealed Raye, sweat glistening on her forehead. She stared up at the visitors.
"Uh…"Raye was flabbergasted.
"It's Sailor Mars!"
"Raye, meet…" Serena did the introduction again, with an annoyance glare from Vegeta and a tired look from the rest of them. She then decided it was time to explain the situation at hand. "Kakou has amazing speed, like you guys. She seems to be able to control lightning, and fire…" she went through everything that happened that day, still leaving out Darien's part in all of it. She told them about her parents, her brother, the note, Luna, and the crystals. She informed them about how they became scouts, tuxedo mask, and that they were trying to find the moon princess which they had sworn to protect.
When she finished, she asked a question.
"When do we train?" Vegeta smirked. He was really starting to like this girl.
"Right now," he answered. "You'll train with me. I think I can make a warrior out of you yet." Serena nodded, taking it as a compliment.
"I'll take Jupiter and Mars," Goku announced. They nodded at their new instructor.
"Then I'll train Mercury," Gohan added as Videl stepped up to him.
"I'll help Gohan," Videl insisted, and he nodded at her in approval.
"What about us?" Goten and Trunks complained. Goku and Vegeta started at them.
"You'll be their sparring partners," Goku answered.
"Alright!" Goten and Trunks pumped their fists in the air, laughing giddily. Serena was about to transform into Sailor moon, but Vegeta held his hand out to stop her.
"No, you will train as you are now. If you want to save your brother and avenge your parents' deaths, then you will do what I say, when I say it, and you won't complain. I don't tolerate disrespect. You catch all that?' Vegeta said sternly. Everyone stared at her, waiting for an answer.
"Vegeta, she's just a ki-" Bulma began, but now it was Serena's turn to put her hand up.
"No, I need to be strong for my brother. I can't hide behind excuses anymore…" she turned to Vegeta. "What do I need to do?" she asked, her eyes glowing in anticipation to start. He smirked.
"Follow me," he said.
