If you don't understand by now that I don't own DBZ, maybe you shouldn't be spending your spare time reading fanfics.

By the time Gohan and Goten landed, Goku had gone well into the final stage of his transformation. For second time in the same day, Goten was in mortal fear. He had no idea why Goku had sent him and big brother away, but big brother knew, and the look of terror on Gohan's face told Goten everything he needed to know. The proverbial S-H-I-T (Goten had long since decided that Dende didn't punish swearing if you only spelled it) was about to hit the proverbial fan. He couldn't put his finger on it, but he knew that something bad was going to happen. He knew that, when all was said and done, Goku would have one more story to tell about an apocalyptic battle, and that it would be his greatest challenge yet.

Gohan remembered that look on dad's face from the Battle for Namekkusei. Right after Goku became the Super Saiyajin of legend, that same look found a home on his typically kind and gentle face. A look of anger, a look of pain, a look of insane rage took a vice grip on Goku's visage, and didn't let go until the Icer Tyrant was obliterated. Only then was he at peace.

And now, Gohan realized why he had gotten so upset, for lack of a stronger term. Kuririn had been resurrected too many times by too many sets of Dragonballs. There was no hope this time, no chance of bringing Kuririn back. Goku had lost his friend forever.

"Gohan?" Goten asked. "Why did daddy say for us to go away?" Goten still had not grasped the fact that rage sent a Saiyajin into the legendary transformation. He still thought it was something that came naturally, as a sort of coming-of-age thing.

"It wouldn't have been safe for us there, pal," Gohan responded. It was time, at last, for Goten to learn a little about Saiyajin biology. "You know that you're a Saiyajin, right?" Goten nodded. "And you know that feeling you get when you make your hair yellow? How you feel stronger?" Again, Goten nodded. "Well, the first time that happened, it was because you were really, really angry. Not just angry, like when daddy punishes you, and not just really angry, like when I started teaching Videl how to fly and you got jealous because I was spending more time with her than you. I mean really, really angry, because mommy, Dende rest her ki, hurt you and you never thought she could." At this, Goten started wailing. Baka!, Gohan thought to himself. Why did I have to go and mention mom? Baka, Baka, BAKA! "Goten, I'm sorry, but I had to mention her. It's vital to what I'm about to say. Your hair became yellow and you got stronger because you were really, really, really angry with mommy, okay? That's something only Saiyajin can do, make their hair yellow when they're angry. Daddy made us go away because he was never going to see Mr. Kuririn again. Mr. Kuririn was daddy's best friend and he got really, really, really angry at whoever made it so he couldn't see Mr. Kuririn again. Daddy has only been really, really angry twice before, and that made him very strong. This time, when he got angry, it's very possible that he became stronger than me. Do you understand? When someone is that strong, they can hurt people just by being near them. Do you understand?"

Goten had finally managed to get his crying under control just enough to nod. Then, faintly, he heard a voice, carried on the wind of its own force, screaming at some unknown evil. A gleam in the distance, brighter than Mr. Tenshinhan's Taiyoken, blinded him for a moment. Somewhere in the depths of his soul, he knew that this was daddy, and that soon everything would be alright.

Meanwhile, back in what used to be Chibi Senshi City, Goku's cries of pain had ceased. Not a sound was heard, aside from the wind howling through the now desolate wasteland. Time simply seemed to stop entirely. Goku lifted Kuririn's corpse out of the rubble and flew to the sole clear spot in the mess. There, he dug a deep hole, placed his friend's lifeless body inside, and covered it up. He silently begged Kaiou-sama to watch over Kuririn in the afterlife. His mind bkanked out all other input as he remembered his friend, until a soft, low laugh invaded his thoughts.

"How touching, Kakarotto. If I gave a shit, I might actually cry." Goku turned around, but there was no one there. "Up here, monkey-boy!" taunted the unknown voice. Goku craned his head up, not seeing anything. Then, he saw it, a faint speck of white against the periwinkle backdrop of the sky. If he didn't know any better, Goku would have sworn it was an Icer. Surely, this was the monster that destroyed all these lives. Filled with rage once more, Goku flared brilliantly again with the light of infinite suns. In less than the blink of an eye, Goku was in the sky at eye level with the white speck. In less than the blink of an eye, Goku wished he hadn't.

It was Vegeta, but it wasn't. This pseudo-Vegeta had his exact shape, except for three things. This Vegeta was completely bald, had absolutely no pigment to his skin, and had a long, lizard-like tail. He seemed like what Cell may have looked like if he only had Vegeta and Furiza's DNA. "Vegeta? Did you do this?" Goku gestured to the chaos below, though it was obvious to anyone with more than 3 brain cells what he was talking about.

The Vegeta-thing chuckled as it shook its head. "Kakkarotto, you simple fool. I am not Vegeta. I am no one you know. The Vegeta you once knew is no more. But, seeing as I know who you are, it would be rude of me not to let you know who I am." The-Vegeta-Who-Was-Not chuckled again and spoke in a voice that had the disturbing quality and clarity of a recurring nightmare, of a vanquished warlord that simply would not stay dead. "I am Furita."

At long last, the Great Destroyer has been revealed in Furita. How will this new enemy affect the lives of those he has not killed? Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of A Fusion of Worlds.
