Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ A Parents love ❯ One-Shot

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

A/N: for all those who read Parting Sorrows, my sis deleted the next chapter by mistake. This story is about how Vegetas parents must have felt. sending him to Freeza and how they died. Oh yeah, sometimes it's confusing when I'm talking Vegeta and his father in the same sentence, but you'll just have to put up with it!

Disclaimer: I own nothing, only own Arra. *Quietly* Who's Vegetas mother. Meaning I own Vegeta. Meaning I own Trunks! YAY! Sorry, I'll shut up now.

How am I going to explain this to him? I can only start to imagine the fuss he'll make. It's Vegetas job to tell him, not mine .I slowed down as I reached the bedroom door, taking in the sites of the palace. It could be the last time I ever see it. I opened the door and saw him lying on his bed, sleeping. He looked so happy, so peaceful. I couldn't bear to wake him. I heard Vegetas voice echo through my head.

"You have to tell him, Arra. He has to know!" I sighed,

"Maybe there's another way, something else we could do. He's so small, he'll be killed!"

"He's our son, Arra. One day, Vegeta'll rule the Sayian race. Hell, even his name means `Warrior' He'll live."

"And my name means `Panther', but you don't see me walking around like a giant cat!" I regretted the words as soon as they'd left my mouth. But I carried on. "He's my baby boy, Vegeta, he's only 7! Freeza'll kill him if he makes a fuss, and after Crowsi, well…" I left the sentence hanging. Crowsi was Vegetas younger sister Freeza had killed her under the excuse that she was a freak, she'd been born without a tail. I could hear silence, nothing more, nothing less.

"Listen, there's nothing we can do, don't you think I've tried? If we send him, maybe he'll destroy Freeza, save our Planet, our race. Us." He growled. It was times like this I wandered why I left the safety of the village I grew up in, my family and friends. It was love at first site thing, I wouldn't have stayed then, I wouldn't have gone back an hour ago. Now I was having second thoughts.

"Fine, I'll tell him, just leave me alone." I snapped. I walked towards my son, gently trying to shake him awake. I could imagine Vegeta, pacing the throne room, muttering to himself,

"If he touches them, I'll…" I sighed and shook my head. There was no `If he tries to', `if he thinks of', or even a `if he dares to'. It was a pure and simple, when. I chocked back a sob, causing Vegeta to wake.

"Mama?" Innocence, that was him. I nodded. "What's wrong? Why have you been crying? I couldn't tell him.

"Vegeta, you're going to have to be a very brave boy and do Mama a big favour." He smiled. He thought it'd be something I normally ask him to do. Pick flowers or fruit for me, deliver a message. "I need you to go and stay on Freezas ship for a few days." I looked away as the news sunk in. He hated Crowsi for what He'd done to Crowsi.

"No, I won't go! I want to stay with you!"

"You have to do. Please, do it for Mama." He believed me. I felt so guilty.

"Ok. For you." I led him to the throne room, where I knew his father would be. He ran carelessly through the palace, slamming doors and bumping into people. When we reached the throne room, Vegeta ignored our eyes, and showed us onto the ship. Vegeta was led off into a side room, while me and his father were led to the main room. I took one long last look at my son. I'll never see him again, I'll miss him. I followed Vegeta to the main room, to Freeza. As soon as we reached the middle of the large room, the doors were blocked. Vegeta stood between Freeza, protecting me. It was useless. Blood, bones and Saiyan armour. All that stood in the way. I had almost killed Freeza once before. He needed me dead. He began a long Humiliating speech. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my son, staring out of the window, watching the planet Vegeta. As it was…destroyed? Freeza flowed my eye.

"So Arra," His voice sent shivers down my spine. "You've noticed your charming little planet, have you?" I growled. Only his head a meter away from his body would make me happy. Nothing else. I still watched my son as he noticed the window I saw him through and looked through. He watched as Freeza shoot Vegeta, the blast penetrating his body, and entering mine. After all, it was only blood bones and Saiyan armour. All that stood in the way.
