Taste Of Honey Part One:
Sweeter Than Wine
Written by Mister Nice Kai

A taste of honey...tasting much sweeter than wine
I dream of your first kiss, and then...I feel upon my lips again...
A taste of honey...Tasting much sweeter than wine

MNK: This story is rather twisted, and there’s a good explanation for it. A couple of years ago I got on one of the computers at the school to look up info on the Supreme Kai. I’m not sure why, but that night, when I fell asleep, I dreamt that I was getting on that website again, and that all of the pictures of Higashi showed him with a split upper lip. (Probably the week-old pepperoni pizza we had for dinner) I woke up, and a whole plot started to form in my disturbed mind. This plot is the story that you are about to read. (The Taste of Honey stories are completely separate from the others, except for the characters.)
Disclaimers: I do not own Dragon Ball Z, or any of the characters created by Akira Toriyama. I own the Licans, the Shreans, the Opalace, Aniria-sei, Anirania, the plot, and all that happy crap. Please don’t take it from me. I’m flat broke, and this computer I’m writing this on is my most valuable possession! (i.o.w. I’m POOR!) Enjoy the story!
This story gets Lady Nice Kai’s Seal of Approval.

Chapter 1: Encounter In The Garden
Kibito and his master walked in silence through the garden. An ingenious potion made by Goku’s sister-in-law Hazel had finally separated them, and returned their bodies to the prime of their youth. Each was secretly glad for the privacy of his own mind. Nothing much was happening; the butterflies danced on the air, and a cool breeze rustled the honey suckle and lilacs. “I love what you’ve done with this place, Kibito.” Kaioshin smiled. “I must say it’s even better than our old planet was before Majin Buu came along.” Kibito smiled sheepishly. He was very proud of the new Kai planet, as he’d done much of the gardening.
“Thank you, Master.” he whispered as he stared at a particularly full lilac. Something seemed odd, though. There was a long, furry lavender vine hanging from one of the branches. “What the…” he reached out and grabbed it.
A deafening shriek issued through the air, and a tangled figure came crashing to their feet, and lay there twitching. It was a young woman, with silvery lavender hair in a pony tail. Her tail writhed in his grasp like a poisonous snake. In shock, he and the other Kai just stood there open jawed, as she lay whimpering and twitching, curled up in a ball with tears running down her cheeks. “Let me loose.” she whimpered. The two kais exchanged a confused look, then looked back to the girl. “I beg you, by the stars, by the sun, by the very Licans themselves, release me!” she sobbed. Kibito held his arm a bit higher so that her rump was lifted off the ground. Shin opened his mouth to protest, but felt a murderous wave of energy emanating from her as she screamed in agony. Kibito scowled down at her.
“Why were you spying on us?!” He gave her tail a hefty jerk, and she shrieked, hurting his sensitive ears.
“I don’t even know who the hell you are! I’m searching for King Kai; I was told he was here. I was resting when you pulled my tail.”
“Resting? In a tree?!”
“It’s more comfortable than the ground.”
“What is your business with King Kai?!” he hollered, shaking her tail. Shin touched Kibito’s arm.
“She’s already immobile; you needn’t be so rough.” Kibito blushed, as a tear rolled down her cheek.
“My sister Kittel wanted me to warn him that Goku died again, and he’s heading up to train.” she sniffed. “Please----release me.” Shin could feel her energy leaving her, as she wheezed. Her head slowly dropped, and her eyes closed as her body went limp.
“Kibito!” Shin gasped. “You…KILLED her!”
®
Kibito released her tail. He couldn’t even detect a rise and fall of her breast, so she wasn’t breathing. Kibito looked devastated. He couldn’t even fell her energy. “I didn’t MEAN to kill her…he whispered. “She was so powerful…I was just trying to protect…” All out of the blue, her eyes flew open, great orbs of pure lavender light, not the soft black that had been there before. Lavender brows hung sharp over those lilac eyes, so filled with rage and hate, and glowing with power. A split second after the opening of those killer globes, she flung herself at Kibito, tail wrapped around her waist, and sank her teeth into his leg, with her back to Shin. The Supreme Kai was stunned, and without thinking fired a blast at her back. It was absorbed into the flesh.
‘You IDIOT!’ he thought to himself. ‘She’s a Lican! Blasts to the hands, feet, and back just feed their power!’ Without warning, she swiftly rolled over and leapt to her feet. Kibito fell to the grass, clutching his injured leg. The girl stood straight and tall, her tail hanging loose behind her, thrashing angrily. Her eyes returned to their former black, and her energy was spiked even higher than ever. Shin stood behind his wounded body guard, clutching his shoulder, feeling the wind racing about her as if she were the center of the universe, sensing her power, greater than any he’d ever known outside the Lican-Shrean family. Altogether it was overwhelming him like a lack of oxygen. She stared directly into Shin’s eyes, with an emotion he couldn’t recognize. Kibito groaned. She tore her eyes from Shin’s, and turned to Kibito. She pointed two fingers of her right hand at his leg, and shot a beam of soft, white energy, penetrating the flesh. As soon as it touched, Shin gasped. He saw the two holes fill up with flesh, right before his eyes! She licked a smear of Kibito’s crimson blood from her lips. The Kais were stunned.
“YOU!” she barked at the whimpering Kibito. “Serves you right for attacking when my back was turned. Be thankful it was Melaza and not my sister Fiora you attacked. She would’ve killed you on the spot. And you!” she turned to Shin. “Thanks for that blast. I feel much better now!”
“Have you the SLIGHTEST as to whom you speak?!” Kibito growled. She let loose a cold, heartless laugh.
“Do you really think I care? You are at my mercy, fools! If my sisters find out, your fates are sealed. From where I see it, you,” she stared at Kibito. “are Kiba Laro, and you,” she turned to Shin. “are Chien Cour Pourpra!” A hurt look appeared in Shin’s deep black eyes. She showed no remorse at all as she took a delicate sniff of the wind. “Ah, good! He’s that way!” She leapt into the air and flew off. Kibito turned to speak with his master, but found him gone. He found Shin some minutes later, sitting on the bridge over the creek, with his legs hanging over the side, staring down into the water. Kibito sat down by his master, with a questioning look.
“I’ve never been called names before…” Shin said in a hurt, disbelieving, quavering voice. “No one ever had the gall.” Kibito tilted his head back, quizzically.
“What did she call us, master?” Shin sighed.
“She spoke the language of the Saijins. One of Goku’s sisters has been teaching it to me. ‘Kiba Laro’ is an equivalent to ‘arrogant lap-dog,”
“Bitch.” There was silence. “Well,” he prodded. He had to know. “What did she call you?” Shin clenched his fists, trying not to cry.
“She called me a pathetic purple rabbit.” He whispered as he walked off. “She called me a hare.” Kibito didn’t follow.
