A Very Veggie Valentine's Day.

Part 7. A Door Away

Goku stood before the phone, still dressed in only his second pair of boxers as his hair was dripping itself dry, scratching his head in confusion.

`Egg? How can an egg be false? Unless it's an Easter egg or something- they've been on sale for over a month now…but somehow I just can't picture Vegeta going out and buying them just for the sake of Valentine's Day. Hmmm.' Goku pondered to himself, slowly making his way over to the table and seating himself, placing the clue before him, whilst he mused over it.

He felt like he'd done so much today- Vegeta's little game had certainly run him around in rings- big ones, which sent him scurrying all over Capsule Corp., in his underwear of course. He'd been frozen in an environmental simulator, filmed flying in his underwear on worldwide public television, befouled by a flock of tropical birds, had his arm dunked in gross fish water and been harassed by a fanatical laptop woman.

`This better be worth it Vegeta, because if I've gone through this havoc for nothing, your ass is going to pay for it.' Decided Goku with a growl. This had been a bad day even for him. He'd rather have fought Frieza again; at least it would be amusing, smashing the pale, pasty freak in the next dimension. `Your time is running out, my little Prince.' Goku grinned again. `I am close to the end…I'll get you yet.'

However, Goku's train of vengeful thoughts were interrupted by the irate growls of his bottomless pit of a stomach.

`Whew. Thinking of all those eggs has made me hungry. Maybe I should have some for dinner…at least then I can check the tray for clues.' Goku grinned. Despite his frustration about the hunt, he was really enjoying it, it appeared.

Or maybe it was the oxygen reaching his brain for the first time in his life making him high. Who knows?

Getting up carefully, leaving his notes discarded on the table, Goku wandered over to the fridge to get the things he needed.

`I have to be ready for Vegeta after all, and therefore keep my energy up. All this thinking has made me hungry.' Goku convinced himself as his stomach growled in affirmation.

Opening the fridge, Goku grabbed the tray of eggs they kept in there, which was almost empty (by Saiyan standards at least), there being just enough to make an almost Goku sized omelette. Grinning Goku picked up the oil and moved across the kitchen, setting the food down next to the cooker as he rummaged for a pan.

Setting the pan onto the ring, Goku prepared it, waiting patiently for it to heat up.

`Heheh. I've got to be ready for Vegeta, I'm sure I'm going to need lots of energy tonight.' Goku smirked. `I'm sure my Prince will want me to work extra hard for him…'

Goku cracked the eggs open one by one into the pan, up until the last one.

`That's odd, that egg is light…' Goku smirked, his sharp Saiyan eyes identifying the hairline crack running across it.

Chuckling slightly, Goku's hands none- too- deftly opened up the shell, discarding it as he started to unravel the tightly coiled note. Suddenly he paused.

`I really ought to eat something before opening this.' Decided Goku guiltily. `I hate to make Vegeta…and myself wait…but I better eat this.'

Goku hurriedly finished eating his omelette, not tasting the eggy meal he downed it so quickly. Grabbing himself a glass of water, he gulped it down, before snatching the coiled note up from the side, finally unravelling it, with a difficultly on account of his larger fingers.

`Kakarot.
Well done. That was the last clue. Follow these instructions to your goal.

Go to the place where we were first. In the old bedroom where things begun. There will be another note on the table, along with a little something else to guide you…'

`At least that was clear.' Goku sighed with relief. `I've completed the clues!' He jumped outright into the air with glee, ecstatic at finally meeting the end to these cruel puzzles.

Relief washed over him as he ran out of the door to the larger main building, running down into the labyrinth- like basement, knowing exactly where he was headed as he thundered down the corridor.

Finally reaching the bedroom, Goku trembled. He was getting so close. Looking back, he was amazed he managed to get all those difficult clues. His chest swelled with pride momentarily. This was no time to be nervous; he'd worked for all this, and now was the time. Steeling himself, his hand reached for the handle, turning it carefully.

Opening the door slowly, Goku peeked around it, checking for any unprecedented surprises, before stepping into the abandoned bedroom. They'd never told anyone about this place, both he and Vegeta wanting to keep it secret. Just in case they ever needed it.

Looking about the room, it was evident they weren't to return here tonight as a place of venue; it was exactly how they left it, well, except the fine layer of dust coating the surfaces that had been abandoned for the past two months. The bed was still unmade from the last bout they had here, the pillows strewn across it, the duvet bunched up at the far end and the faint smell of sex still lingering fragilely in the air.

Goku slowly walked out into the room over to the bedside table as Vegeta had instructed him, his sleek sable tail swaying languidly behind him, his eyes scanning the dusty surface, quickly finding what Vegeta was implying.

On the side lay a small note, on the top of a white remote. Goku carefully picked it up, examining the remote. It was fairly small- about the size of a harmonica, with only a dial on it. The note itself, attached the remote, was brief, and state as Goku peeled it off to read it;

“Turn me on.”

`That's a bit weird.' Concluded Goku with a shrug. `What does a remote have to do with anything anyway…does Vegeta want me to open his garage or something?' Goku smirked briefly at the thought of a leather clad Vegeta riding on a motorcycle, complete with studded gauntlets, and chains.

`If he looks as good as he does in spandex, all that dark leather would suit him so…' Goku zoned out briefly, his boxers bulging slightly as his cock started to harden. `No…have to concentrate, so… close… to…prize.'

Goku cautiously turned the dial, scrunching up his face as he did so in fear, considering that this was Capsule Corp. and Vegeta in one occurrence, he half expected the entire room to explode around him, or something equally unexpected and dangerous. Like potatoes falling out of the floor, or a silver back gorilla materialising for no apparent reason. Something like that. But more random.

Nothing.

Abruptly, Goku's ears pricked, at some kind of imperceptible noise.

`Did I just hear something?' wondered Goku.

A faint moan reached his sensitive Saiyan ears, barely noticeable to him, let alone to the hearing of humans. Wandering out of the room, Goku was lead to the source by his ears, trailing through the labyrinth off basement passages in Capsule Corp. many unused for decades since various expansions. As he neared the source, Goku found it obvious that the moans were belonging to Vegeta, recognising his voice. Getting more desperate to find him, Goku was jogging down the corridors looking for Vegeta, the sounds the Prince was making guiding him.

Eventually, he'd got to a point where the moans where at their loudest- outside a rather anticlimactically normal door, far into the isolated depths of the building. Well, it was a normal door except for the big note taped onto the outside;

“You win, Kakarot.”
