Chapter 11: No help in the real world
In the last Chapter:
Cell got angry and yelled at Trunks. Sara just watched and then pushed farther into his embrace. Trunks looked down at the floor before walking to the door and leaving. Sara leaned against Cell and sighed. She was still upset over what happened; hell she had right to be. She knew that he was in his second form and was waiting to become perfect. She would love him no matter what he looked like. He was surprised at this remark; even as her legs gave way and she slumped to the floor. He sat down and held her close as she cried through the night. She would need time to heal and this was time he couldn't afford to lose.
Cell watched his sleeping mate in his arms. She had been through a lot and he still wasn't perfect; she had needed him. The darkness was trying to split them apart and he didn't know why. Hadn't the darkness brought them together? He searched her mind and she didn't fight him, she didn't have enough energy to fight him. He saw everything; all the memories that she had of Dragonball Z, and his death. Cell couldn't believe that Goku's pint-sized punk would kill him. He also saw the darkness trying in vain to break their bond. He threatened the darkness and heard it laugh in his futile attempts to shake it loose. Cell growled and looked at Sara while she slept. He couldn't leave her alone while the darkness was after her, but if she were to go with him; she could be harmed and he couldn't afford to lose her. She whimpered in her sleep and her eyes squeezed shut as if in pain. He smoothed her hair and laid his chin on her head. He sighed and tried to figure out what his life would be like without her. He kept drawing a blank after he was defeated by Gohan. He couldn't sense the Z warriors so he became nervous. They could be plotting to take her away from him at this very moment.
-Flash over to where the Z gang is talking-
"I'm hungry." Goku said while rubbing his growling tummy. "Can we get some pizza?" Vegeta nearly face vaults and grabs Goku roughly.
"We're trying to figure out a way to get Sara away from Cell without killing her and all you can think about is food!"
Goku's stomach growls loudly and shakes the ground.
"Well I guess that answers the question." Krillan said as he scratched the back of his head.
-Back to where Cell is-
"There probably waiting until I let my guard down before attacking." Cell grimly thought. He thought for a moment and picked up the fragile creature that was his mate. He heard her sigh and lean against him; he could feel the coldness of her skin against his. He walked out of the ruined home and flew off into the horizon to a place from her memory. A place that would successfully mask their ki for awhile. A place that that would make her feel safe while she waited for him to return. He flew for hours and finally arrived at Agawa Canyon. As he landed he marveled at all the waterfalls and the massive walls of rock and vegetation that dwarfed him immensely. He found a small cave under one of the bigger waterfalls and walked cautiously inside. He felt his mate stir and looked down into her eyes as she gasped in surprise.
I awoke in Cells arms again; he had flown to Agawa Canyon to hide me while he was to go in search of the last android that stood in the path to his perfection. I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned against his neck. I could see the mark that I had given him; I thought that it would have disappeared when he transformed to his second form. He sat me down and I stretched my legs as I looked around the cave.
"Cell, do you really have to go?" My question hit him off guard as he tried to comfort me. "I just don't want to end up alone. I'm too young to be a single mother." I expressed my concerns to him. He sighed in annoyance before lifting my face up to meet his gaze.
"I will be back; I will survive for you. You won't have to raise my child alone. Don't worry." He forced a smile and walked toward the opening of the cave. He turned before waving goodbye and disappearing behind a veil of water. I slumped to the ground and pulled my legs up to my chin. This was so confusing I felt like crying. The darkness was waiting for the right time to strike and I didn't want to be alone when it did. I unconsciously put my hands over my stomach protecting the little ki that lingered inside. Cell promised to return but what if he didn't? I pushed the thought out of my mind and leaned back against the wall. Lately I had been getting tired easily and figured that I just needed to eat more to compensate for my lost energy. I stood up on shaky legs and walked out of the cave; getting soaked in the process. I walked over to the closed up general store and carefully broke the window and let myself in. There was enough food to last me two weeks; I hoped that Cell wouldn't take that long to return. A bag of chips grabbed my attention so I grabbed it and began to eat.
Cell could feel Sara's mind in the back of his own. She was afraid but she would be alright. Her energy was running low and he could feel her need to feed. (Sorry I just always wanted to say that. Anyways back to the story.) He chuckled to himself and knew that she would be fine for a few weeks. Only if the darkness would leave her alone. Cell stopped in mid air and looked around for any sign of his adversaries. He still couldn't believe that he was going to be a father. Was he ready? How will he care for a child when he looked the way he did? Only perfection could help him take care of what was his. He sensed the one called Krillan nearby so he decided to stop and `ask' him where the remaining android was hiding. He flew down near where Krillan was at and his jaw hit the ground with a thud. Krillan and 18 were (blush) busy at the moment and would need some time to finish what they were *talking* about. He turned away and waited for them to finish what they were doing and collapse onto the dried leaves beneath them. He then slinked over to where they were and grabbed 18 before she could scream to her sleeping lover. His tail opened and he reveled in the feeling as she slid down his tail into his very being. It felt almost better than sex. Thinking about that made him look down and the sleeping monk. Not wanting to make a scene, he slipped away into the night before attaining perfection. He smiled to himself as he admired his new form in the reflection of the small tranquil lake. He felt the dexterity of his new limbs and his power made him feel invincible. Until an image flashed into his mind of Gohan killing him and then going after his mate. He would have to be careful, very careful. He decided to surprise Sara in the morning and be as sappy and romantic as possible. He looked into the minds of all the people he absorbed and got some very good ideas.
Well what does Cell have planned? I guess you'll just have to wait and see.
Cell in background: I am finally perfect. Bow down before true perfection harmless mortals! Ha Ha Ha
Sara: Cell's talking to himself again but if you REVIEW maybe he'll come out of the bathroom and finally get back into the bedroom. Well just REVIEW and I'll try to get Cell to respond to any questions or concerns you might have. So for now I'm going to try to get Mr. Perfect back to the real world. BYE for now!!!!
