Chapter one
one....two....three....fou.. WHAT?? Bulma lowered her head to knock it on the desk for a couple of times, giving the cup of coffee, which had long since gone cold, a slight ringing sound. \\stupid, stupid, stupid\\ How long had she been working on this project now? Four months, perhaps five already? AFP had long since asked capsule corp. for help creating a special type of outer shield for their spaceships, close to indestructible. At first Mr. Briefs didn't see much in the project, but after some pushing from Bulma`s side that it would do well for the Z-senshi as well, he finally agreed. Under one condition; it was Bulma`s project, not his.

A small sigh escaped her mouth. \\why the hell did I want to do this in the first place...\\ It was near three in the morning and Bulma finally decided to call it a night and shut the computer and the entire lab of capsule corp down. She took her package of cigarettes and stepped outside knowing how much her parents hated the smell of it which seemed to linger in the kitchen for hours.

Just as she whas about to light one, a familiar voice started her. "The gravity room is broken again." Bulma turned her head to see Vegeta standing at the door, ready to enter. \\..again?\\ She let out a small sigh. "So?" Vegeta just looked at her, giving the same neutral face as before. "Fix it." A small frown appeared between Bulma`s brow. She was not in the mood for this conversation and decided to end it as quick as possible. "Fine. I'll fix it tomorrow first thing in the morning, if you didn't damage it too bad, I'll have it fixed before afternoon." Vegeta just nodded and opened the door. "Oh, and Vegeta, my mother told me to put your dirty laundry at the washing room, she doesn't exactly enjoy going through your room sorting clean from dirty laundry." That earned her a faint snorting sound and Bulma just looked at him with an amused expression on her face. After that the prince strode in the house and shut the door. Not too gently. As always.

So there she was, at 7 o'clock in the morning making repairs for the gravity room. Sometimes she hated herself for inventing the darn thing in the first place. Inventing the thing and building hadn't even taken near half the time of fixing it every time a stubborn-bakayaro-sayin blasted some kind of vital part. Oh well, at least she was out in the garden and the weather, although still a bit chilly because of her early rising, was already a comforting wave on her overloaded nerves. The damage really wasn't that bad. Apparently Vegeta had sent a ki-attack straight to the control panel, short circuiting the entire ship. When she finally had the entire thing fixed she decided to run a test and hit the power switch. Not soon after, all the lights and equipment flickered to life but there was one thing she hadn't predicted; the program started where it had last been left off. Suddenly she was surrounded by a small five member counting robot-army focusing a target and getting ready to strike. //okay, this is really, really, really bad!// The door to the outside was currently locked and couldn't be opened before the system running inside was shut off. How ironic, that was a safety system. She scrambled for the buttons on the safety panel, but soon felt a burning sensation in her left shoulder blade. One of them robots had locked on to her and released a small beam of energy. A small scream escaped her throat but she just continued clicking on the buttons in an insanely high pace and soon enough, the entire system shut down. The bots fell to the ground with an audible thud. Soon after that a different thud was followed, Bulma`s body take a dive for the ground. The last thing she thought was `damn, I need a holiday.` After that, she decided to sleep, the concrete floor really was not that bad all of a sudden.

To be continued.
