By the time Frieza went to get his warriors ready, they we're ready to tear into each other. He loudly cleared his throat until they were all very ready to listen.

"You all know why you're here. You know what I expect you to do. Hold nothing back. Fight as if your lives depended on it. I will accept nothing less. Who will be first?" he asked.

"I will." Said Dodoria.

"Good. Zarbon you will be next, followed by Guldo, Recoome, Berter, Jeis, Captain Ginyu, and Vejita." He said.

"Your pardon Lord Frieza. But you assigned those positions as if this mystery challenger will make it to the end. Surely no one in the universe, save the Cold lineage, could ever defeat all of us." Zarbon said.

"We shall soon see, Zarbon. Men, meet your opponent." He said pointing to a rising door.

They all grew silent and faced the challenger. They were all shocked as a beautiful young woman made her way to the center floor. It took them a few moments to get past her body and onto her face, but Vejita recognized her at once. This woman was the vision from his dream. Bulma! Dressed in a skintight body suit of metallic blue shimmering material, low cut showing off ample cleavage, and full of spaces showing the skin of her muscled stomach, and toned outer thighs. Her flowing blue hair was pulled back in a ponytail on the top of her head that reached to the back of her knees.

"The little earth girl?!" Ginyu yelled in shock and amusement.

"This will be far to easy." Laughed Dodoria, starting in on her.

Bulma neither spoke nor moved as he began to saunter towards her.

"Alright you big, pink, pile of shit. Let's see how you like playing with someone stronger than you." She thought.

"What's the matter little girl? Don't you want to fight me?" he asked.

"Not really. A bloated, fat, pink, pig like you isn't worth my time and effort. But it is Lord Frieza's will, therefore it will be done." She replied casually.

"What?! Why you insolent little wretch!" he yelled charging.

"Pathetic." She said disapprovingly.

With a swift side step and a quick swing she avoided the attack and broke his nose. With a roar of pain and outrage he rounded on her.

"You little bitch! You dare to strike my face?! That will be your undoing." He shouted as he prepared to strike again.

He flew towards her fist cocked to deliver a ringing blow. For a moment it seemed he had hit her, in truth he was frozen in mid air just a hairs' breath away from her. With two well-placed punches she shattered both his arms. Flipping she landed a back kick that sailed him across the room.

"Next?" she asked.

"Alright, little one. You've learned quite a bit but you'll never beat me. That's a promise." Zarbon said walking calmly into the arena.

Though he put up a good front, he was nervous. She pummeled Dodoria harshly, and even though Dodoria was nothing to Zarbon, skill and a marginal strength advantage was all that separated the two. And Bulma hadn't even broken a sweat.

"Hmm. The pretty boy, eh? Good I'll hit him where it hurts the most. The face or the groin usually makes his type crack with the pain." She thought shrewdly.

The two just stood and glared at each other for a moment. Zarbon then gestured to her to begin.

"Ladies first." He said.

"I know. Ladies, then age before beauty. That's why I'm letting you go first, old woman." She said.

He glared at her angrily.

"Just like a man. You prick his vanity enough and he'll bleed for life." She laughed mentally.

He fired a large blast directly at her. The blast hit dead on target and Bulma vanished in the cloud of overly thick smoke. She suddenly shot out and hammered his groin in with her knee.

"Too bad. Now how will you fuck all those pretty little whores?" she sneered as she slammed her fists repeatedly into his face.

His cheekbones were smashed, his nose shattered, his teeth were littering the floor.

"You'll live." She called as he landed outside of the ring.

"That's it, girlie. You're going down." Guldo said.

"What's that? So sorry but I don't speak toad." She said.

"Time Freeze!" he yelled.

Everything in the room went still. He prepared a little attack for the little bitch. He decided that he didn't even need to hide from the girl. That energy blast would more than likely kill her. Sad, even if she was a bitch, she was a hot one. He released his pent up breath and restored time. Unfortunately she wasn't at the sight of the blast and it hit empty air.

"What the?! Where is she?!" he screamed looking around.

Everyone else in the room was looking at him full of amusement. The entire Ginyu Squad was laughing outright, even Vejita was smirking like a cat that just got its long coveted canary. He looked up to see Frieza, his father, and brother all nearly on the ground in laughter. Ginyu decided to cut him a break and made a rotating gesture with his hand. Quickly Guldo turned around and saw Bulma making childish and obscene faces at him.

"You bastard!" he cried.

"Took ya long enough. I guess it just doesn't work on someone who knows the same tricks. But I guess you're still an amateur. I can block it, and as you've seen totally rupture the balance in others when they attempt it. Try this one." She said.

Suddenly the little frog faced shit was floating many feet in the air. He began to spin like a turbines' engine. All of a sudden he began to rain vomit down on all present. Save Bulma and the Cold family which were all covered by her force field. With a crude laugh she slammed him against the roof and let him fall the few stories back to the ground. Recoome was on her in a heartbeat, but couldn't get a good hold on her at all. Bulma was just too fast for his bulk and clumsy movements compared her sleek moves. She levitated a few feet into the air and stopped. She glared at the bigger man and just then Recoome fell to the ground screaming.

"Get away! N-no! Stay back! Ah!" he cried as he passed out.

Three down four to go, this is getting fun!

"Now you face me." Berter said.

"And am I supposed to be afraid?" she asked.

"You'll see." He said.

With nothing else said he began to run around her easily breaking the sound barrier. Bulma saw his intent from the word go. If he ran around her long enough, ultimately the law of physics would come into play, and she'd be trapped in an upward cyclone. Almost the very same trip Guldo had taken not fifteen minutes before.

"Not bad. But so very unimaginative. Try this." She said as she leapt out at him slamming two hard kicks directly into his legs, breaking them.

With a strangled cry he fell to the ground.

"You bitch! You bitch! You broke my legs, my legs!" he screamed.

"Does it hurt? Then let me take away the pain." She said as she landed a fierce blow to his head.

He was unconscious before he hit the floor. Jeis sauntered up to her and smirked at her. she wasn't the only one who knew how to play mind games and he was going to enjoy this.

"I'll try not to really hurt you." He said.

"I won't. And I wouldn't if I were you." She smiled.

"We'll see." He said gently as he approached her.

Bulma watched him in mild humor. Seduction, mind control, and manipulation were his weapons of choice and judging by the way he was looking at her he hoped to intimidate her. She couldn't remember how many of the older males had tried this on Trion. It was a game that she was not only used to but very tired of as well. All he was doing was annoying her. He suddenly swooped in on her from behind and caught her in a fierce hold.

"Yield and I won't have to hurt this pretty little body of yours. Refuse and I'll just have to make sure you pay for it later. Perhaps in my bed." He whispered.

She decided to play along and see if he could back up all his talk.

"Sounds good. I'm sure you could satisfy a woman well. I mean I've been staring at your friend down there since I walked in here and I am impressed. Maybe later you could give me a lesson." She said.

Before he could respond she blasted him into a wall. She smiled as he staggered back to his feet. She could tell by the look on his face that he was angry. She was on him in an instant punching, kicking, and basically beating with what, to her, were very light blows. After a few minutes he fell to the floor and didn't move.

"Captain Ginyu I believe you are next?" she asked haughtily.

"I'm impressed little one. If only you were male. I'd happily switch bodies with you." He said.

"I know. It's been doing very well for me this far." She said.

"Shall we begin?" he asked.

"I owe you Captain. And just let this serve as a reminder. Don't ever touch me again!" she screamed as she fired the largest blast yet into his face.

Vejita had watched her with a burning intensity as she fought. It was easy enough to watch her but to look into those eyes… To look into those eyes was painful and shameful. What had he done to her? Why did she hate him so? They'd been friends and he'd wanted to transcend that line with her. What had gone so terribly wrong? Suddenly like a plague and just as unwelcome his desire for this woman/child rose within him. Just then those eyes softened, those blue orbs beheld him like an almost forgotten love.

"No! I can't be yielding to these feeling already! After all he's said. He doesn't love you Bulma, just accept that and move on. You'll be better for it." Her mind screamed.

"Vejita." She said tonelessly.

"She's not the same girl. I can't let these feelings get in my way. If I do she'll kill me for sure. Someone must have told her about the things I said after she was gone." He thought.

"Bulma." He said in the same emotionless manner.

"Enough!" Frieza said.

They both turned to him and had the feeling of dè ja vù.

"I am satisfied by your progress, Bulma. You and Vejita are both dismissed. You two probably have some things to catch up on any way. I will expect you both to meet me at the head of my table in the dining hall this evening for dinner." He said as he left.

Bulma had fixed a mild stare on him long before he faced her again.

"You look well." He said.

"I am well. You look stronger. A pity, I would have had something near a decent challenge." She said.

Of course she was selling him short and she knew it. He was strong. Her mental abilities were the only things that gave her an edge compared to him. Without that they'd be die-hard equals. She knew the clause of which she had now dedicated her life. She would respect him for his power. But as a woman she had the sense to know that she could stand to gain a few things from him. He was strong a man and as soon as he crossed his barrier of power he'd be even more useful to Frieza. But no one knew her secret. When it was discovered she would surely have a lot on her plate. If that man hadn't been passing through the planet for supplies she'd never have known, never have been able to prepare for what was surely to come. Yes she'd have to be very careful indeed. She walked to the door. Vejita seemed to have different ideas. He quickly got in front of her.

"Wait." He said.

"You're taking a serious risk Saiyan. What do you want?" she asked voice low and head bowed.

"To set a few things straight with you." He said.

"What is there to straighten out? I was to leave, you knew and didn't tell me, I looked into your mind while you were away and come to find out you never gave a damn about me; I know enough, what do we have to straighten out Vejita? Nothing, now move." She ordered briskly.

She was angry and she had every right to be. Even in his mind even if he didn't mean it he had hurt her. He could only imagine being alone in that place with no one on your side and know that the one person anywhere that you thought cared about didn't give a shit. Yes the situation was very much like his, but he'd never had solace, so it couldn't be taken from him. That must've been terribly painful.

"I won't. At least not until you've heard me out. I understand how you feel, but you have to realize I was putting up the front so that you couldn't be used against me. I never meant to hurt you. I know what Zarbon told you. It was a lie. I knew nothing of what he was doing. And I want you to know that this is not how I wanted seeing you again to go at all. I'm sorry." He said.

She was shocked. His entire essence cried out his truth but she couldn't just lose sight of what was ahead of her. But she might as well know now whether he was an enemy or a friend. His cooperation in her little caper to cover her secret may prove him. If she could trust him perfect, if not then he was going to be just another dead man. She'd already left many from her little stay on Trion. And only suffered and was punished for two.

"I believe you, Vejita. And I'm sorry for not giving you the benefit of the doubt. I need your help, Vejita. Very much. But we can't discuss it here, come to my room late this night and I'll reveal, as much as I can to you. Until then I'll see you at dinner." She said brushing past him.

Vejita stood transfixed in that doorway. Her sudden change of mood, the open display of trust. It all confused and beguiled him. What game was she playing at?
