CHAPTER 16

XANDER BATTLE PART 5

Xander charges at Lance full speed and tackles him to the ground and begins to pummel Lance with his fists clenched together. Lance grabs his wrists and flips Xander off of him. Xander and Lance charge at each other and a barrier of energy forms around the two of them. Zarduk can't even fathom how their fight has lasted as long as it has. In a flash Lance and Xander both fly from the fading energy and slam into the ground away from each other. Zarduk runs over to Lance to see if he is even alive and he suddenly jumps to his feet and charges back at Xander and Xander does the same. They both slug each other in the face and skid back and charge their energy for another blast. With both blasts colliding the very ground shakes and breaks up. In the flying debris Xander and Lance continue their battle. With a painful shout Lance falls to the ground by Zarduk. Xander slowly begins to walk towards them appearing like a ghost from the dust.

Zarduk: Lance, wake up!

Lance: ………………

Zarduk: Lance, wake up I said!

Xander: he won't be awakening after that attack.

Suddenly Lance opens his eyes and blasts Xander in the upper body with a large blue blast. Zarduk walks over to Xander who is now on the ground. Zarduk brings his hands over his head and begins to charge his energy. Zarduk launches the blast and when the smoke clears Xander is no longer there. Zarduk turns and begins to walk away and suddenly falls to the ground and Lance notices a large burn in the center of his back. Lance stands up and realizes that Xander wasn't killed. Lance unfortunately didn't realize soon enough and is suddenly kicked into the dirt face first. Xander stands over him stomping on his back smile through the blood on his face. Xander flips him over and Lance is with out doubt knocked out if not dead.

Xander: it's too bad I have to kill you; I have a strange respect for you.

Zarduk: well I have no respect for you!

A large arrow head shaped beam flies at Xander from behind. Xander turns around and with his energy blows the beam in two and the two pieces go to each side of him. Feeling something strange behind him Xander quickly turns around and only can see the Burning Flash slamming into his body. Xander is lifted high into the air and drops down onto his back hard. Lance falls to his knees and passes out from using more energy than his body should've put out. Zarduk runs over to check on him and suddenly a beam shoots down from the sky and Xander suddenly is taken away in the beam.

Zarduk: what, was that!?

Lance: don't worry about it, he'll be back.
