"It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to your enemies but even more so to
stand up to your friends..."
-Albus Dumbledore Harry Potter and the Sorcercer's Stone

"What is it Goku?"

The saiyajin savior was staring absorbedly in the direction of a distant blue rock.

"....Oh sorry North Kaio....I'm just wondering how my friends and family are
doing back on Earth" The saiyan then returned his attention skyward.

"You miss them don't you?" The god asked as he looked his pupil with concern.

More than you can imagine, Son Goku thought with a great deal of sadness. I'm
missing how all of their lives are going. Gohan's probably so big now. I know
ChiChi must be proud of him because I sure as hell am.

Seven years have passed since the tragic end of the Cell games on a small blue
planet called Earth. Depending on who asked these past few years have been
great but for a few unsaid individuals these have been the most depressing
especially for the child prodigy Son Gohan.

The sounds of laughter could be heard from many miles away as two hybrids
raced around the countryside. If you ever saw the younger of the two brothers
and didn't know any better you would say he was the mirrror image of his father.
The other however had changed alot in these past seven years of peace. His hair
was no longer a foot long and a major growth spurt had sent Son Gohan to a good
height of 6'2".

"Come on Gohan I want to spar."

"Alright Goten but--"

"GOHAN!!!"

The demi-saiyan promptly floated into the air. Was that mom? Gohan thought as
he continued to fly back towards his home. Gohan landed in the yard to find
ChiChi waiting for him with a grin that could only be surpassed by her late
husband.

"Gohan I have great news! Do you remember those exams I asked you to take a
few weeks ago" Forced me to take is more accurate but he nodded anyway "Well
you made perfect scores on every one so starting tomorrow you will be going to
school isn't that wonderful?"

Gohan wasn't so sure. This would put a serious damper on his training schedule
as well as his meal times which as any being with partial or full saiyan blood will
tell you is sacred. But he couldn't tell ChiChi this so he just grinned sheepishly
and nodded.

He let his mother ramble on and on about how her baby was going to become a
scholar before taking off to find someone to take out his frustrations on and there
was only one person he could always depend on as his own personal punching
bag. With that thought he shot it over to CC headquarters.

Three hours later, a bruised and battered Vegeta stomped out of the Gravity
Room followed shortly by a smirking Gohan. Vegeta gulped down a bean before
turning to Gohan.

"What the hell was with all that anger brat? Usually I have to come threaten you
to get some fighting."

"My mom wants me to go to school,"

"That onna has some nerve ordering around saiyans like she owned them" The
prince made a snort of disgust then left the room.

Great even beating Vegeta within an inch of his life has lost its appeal, Gohan
thought with disdain, I'll just have to find some other way to release in the future
especially with me losing eight hours every weekday.

"Oh Gohan," Now Bulma entered the room with the phone in hand "your mom's
on the phone; she wants you to meet her at the mall in an hour to buy your
school clothes."

Great as if my life couldn't get any worse it does. I'm supposed to be a genius yet I
didn't realize that I was invoking Murphy's Law "anything that can go wrong...will"

It was amazing how a day could go from good to bad and then to worse. Little did
Gohan know that this shopping trip would introduce him to someone would
change the course of his life....forever.
