~Crystal's Memories~

Crystal's mouth hung open in surprised. "My-my father?" she repeated. He grinned and nodded to confirm it once again. "So-so, you now me? You can…can tell me…my past?"

"Actually, I am the reason you forgot," he said sadly, "The time you hit Earth and landed, was about the same time I was killed by Frieza. I have been with you all this time since then. I just have not shown myself 'til now." She said nothing, so he continued, "I have been the one controlling your powers also, but there were times when they would go haywire when your emotions were strong."

"That's why I kept fainting all those times, right?" she asked.

"Correct." He paused before continuing. "I've come to reveal myself to you now because it is time. Before I died, I received powers from a planet of people who could see the future. What I saw then, before leaving the living was my daughter and son defeating Frieza. Something not even I could achieve. I also saw the destruction of our planet, Vegeta-sei. It's time to see your past, my darling."

~Memories~ (best to skip this if you remember this)

"Daddy! Daddy! Don't let them take me!" Katriana cried, as two of Frieza's henchmen, Zarbon and Dodoria, took her away.

"You two leave her alone!" Bardock threatened, "She's just 3! What would Frieze want with a little girl!?"

"That's his business. And it's Lord Frieza to you!" Zarbon sneered in reply.

"Daddy!" Katriana begged with tears in her eyes.

**flash ahead**

"Ah! Katriana! We've been waiting," said Frieza, "I would like you to meet someone."

"Is that him?" asked Katriana, pointing towards the boy.

"Why, yes. This is Prince Vegeta," Frieza introduced, "For your training, at least part of it, you will be following him and you will also be training with him."

**flash ahead**

She smiled and replied, "You should seriously stop cussing so much, Veggie Head."

He looked at her and growled, "What'd I tell you!? Don't go inside my head."

She laughed nervously and said, "Err…Let's spar." Katriana left Vegeta alone and ran out to the training center. Vegeta flew after her. After catching up with her, he picked her up while flying making her scream hysterically.

"Let me down or I'll blast you in the next dimension!!" she shrieked.

"That's my line," he accused.

"I don't care!! Let me down!!" Vegeta shrugged and let go of her. Katriana fell at a fast speed towards the ground. As planned, Vegeta saw Nappa fly towards her. Screaming at the top of her lungs, Nappa caught her and placed her on the ground. Vegeta flew down and heard his friend say, "Gomen, Nappa, for yelling in your ear."

"Don't worry," he mumbled, rubbing his ear and walked away.

'She looked mad,' thought the Saiyan prince.

"You bet I am!" cried Katriana, disturbing his thoughts. (Uni: don't you just hate it when people drop you from hundreds of feet up? ^_~) "You baka Veggie Head otoko!!"

Vegeta cringed and though, 'Kuso I made her mad again! Better calm her before she blows up Vegeta-sei!' This time Katriana wasn't listening to his thoughts because she was too busy yelling at him. 'Better figure out a way to calm her.'

**Flash ahead**

A wind blew by and Katriana's hair got in her face. She tucked it behind her hair with her hand, "What do you think it feels like to fall in love?" she asked, suddenly.

Vegeta looked at her in disbelief. "Now how in Kami did all of those get in your head? Is something the matter with you? You've never asked me anything like that before!"

She rolled her eyes at him and shrugged. "There's nothing wrong with me." She jumped down and onto the ground and looked at the horizon. "It's just that, Raditz is always on those stupid missions and so is my otosan. You, Nappa, and Hanna are going away more and more and I'm left all alone." Katriana looked back at the emotionless face Vegeta. "That means Frieza trains me and I have a lot of time to think." (Uni: I don't know why but I seem to have an urge to put 'Mister' Frieza)

"That still doesn't explain why you asked me what I think on love," he said in a disgusted tone.

She made a face and said, "I just wanted your opinion you baka!" he shrugged in reply. A hint of annoyance was shown on her face. She turned back to the horizon, her back to Vegeta. "I'd think it would be a great feeling," she whispered. He would've barely heard her because of the wind, but with his saiyan hearing, he could hear her well. "To be loved and knowing that someone loves you more than life itself."

"Whatever," he mumbled.

**flash ahead**

"Where am I going?" Katriana asked.

"I believe you're going to the planet called Mau," he replied as they left Vegeta alone to stare after them. Katriana turned around and started to walk backwards and waved at Vegeta. She turned around again, her back now towards him.

"Mau you say? I've never heard of it," she said.

"Not a lot of people has heard of this planet. Mau's people have a technique that we would like to learn. But they have been fighting us, so that we wouldn't learn it. So you're mission will be to destroy the planet," he said. They arrived at the pod center and they walked towards a space pod.

"Ok, so I have to des-NANI!" she shrieked.

"Destroy the planet Mau," Zarbon said firmly.

"I am not going to do that! Even if I would, I can't do it alone," she said, shaking her head. "No one said I had to do that!"

The green man smirked. "Did the prince not say anything?"

"Vegeta…"

"Get in girl! And if you don't do as Master Frieza says, you'll be destroyed!" He pushed her into the pod and she fell in. "Get that pod going!" he barked at a saiyan, that was working at the pod controllers. He nodded and pressed a few buttons.

"Get me out!! Let me out!!" shrieked Katriana on the inside of the pod. Zarbon smirked.

"If you want to see Vegeta-chan, you better come back alive, because I assure you that they will try and kill you," he said and walked off as the pod flew into space.

Katriana started to cry and as soon as she reached space, the computer engaged sleeping gas. Slowly, the girl's eyes began to drop and she went to sleep.

**flash ahead**

She smiled at him and said, "Arigato."

"For what?" he asked.

"For always being there for me," she grinned, "I was just thinking about you when Adon…" Her voice broke and she stared at the ground.

He walked to her and with a finger, lifting her head so that she would face him. He could see she was hurt and scared, from the looks of her eyes. "You know, tears never did suit you," he said, gently. Her eyebrow went up with confusion. "Besides, I'll never let anyone have you, and even if I did, not like this. What he did was cruel and he deserved what was coming to him," he continued. "You deserve someone much better. Remember last year when you asked me what I thought on love?" She nodded.

"Still want my opinion?" he said, looking at her. She nodded again, really wanting to know. "Whomever I love will have my heart forever. Does that answer it?" She nodded slightly.

"But what does that have to do with anything?" she asked, confusion written all over her face.

'I might as well tell her' he sighed to himself 'I can't believe it took me that long to figure out that I'm fallen for her.'

"Vegeta-chan?"

"Remember when you asked if I've ever been kissed, kiss someone or whatever?" he asked.

"Hai."

"Well, I haven't," he said, looking at her with a face that confused her even more. "That is, until now?"

"I don't understand," she shook her head, "What does this have to do with anything right now."

"Everything," he replied. He placed his hands around her waist and pulled her to him. He bent down slightly and placed his lips onto hers. Katriana was, needless to say, shock. Sure she was telepathic and all that, but she never saw this coming. After the shock passed, she realized something herself.

'Oh, no. I've fallen…' she didn't get to finish her thought. Vegeta's tongue was asking permission to enter her mouth. To Vegeta's surprise, she let him in and her arms went around his neck. He pulled her closer to him. Finally, they tore apart to catch their breath, each looking at the other.

"Would you believe me if I said I'm in love with you?" he asked her.

She smiled and smirked at the same time if possible. "I didn't know the cold-hearted prince of all saiyans was capable of loving anyone was possible. The universe must have blown up for that to happen and this is just all a dream or something."

He embraced her and said, "I didn't think it was possible either. But think about it. You're the only one that truly knows my heart." Vegeta kissed her once more and she kissed him back.

**flash ahead**

Bardock grabbed Katriana away from Vegeta and shoved her in a pod. He pressed a few buttons, before Katriana could protest.

"Know that I love you, Katriana," said Bardock, kissing her on the forehead.

"Daddy…" He hushed her and kissed her on the forehead again, before closing the door to the pod. "DADDY!!" she shouted, as the pod began to power up. She banged on the door, and since she's never really learned how to manage a pod, she couldn't power it down. But, what she did know was that the stupid pod was saiyan proof! She stared at the computer and tried to figure out where she was heading. Her father had set the settings to Earth. Before she could think why he had done that, the sleeping gas was set and she fell into a deep sleep. Not to wake up until she arrived at her destination.

~End Memories~

Crystal (Let's call her Katriana now) blinked as the memories stopped coming. She closed her eyes slowly as she took in the news. Now she knew who she was. She finally knew. No more, who am I, do you know who I am. She knew. Part of her was happy and excited; the other was sad and depressed.

She was with Vegeta and had her memories back. But the downside was that her father was dead. He had been for two years and she had just learned this. Her planet was gone. And all because of him. Frieza.

"Katriana?" asked Bardock, uncertainly.

Tears appeared on the brim of her eyes. She bit her bottom lip and clenched her hands into fists. Suddenly, she ran towards him, crying, "Daddy!" she cried, sobbing. Bardock smiled and hugged her back, tears threatening to come down. But, he was a saiyan after all, dead or not, and didn't let them come.

"Now, now," he said, softly, "You're brother is also unconscious. It's possible to bring him here. I'll explain the situation to the both of you."

Bardock looked towards his right as Goku began to materialize on the scene. Katriana looked up from her father's arms and noticed Goku, or Kakarot, whatever you want to call him. Goku looked around, looking extremely confused of where he was. He had been concentrating on his friends' power level, trying to figure out what was going on. Then, he came up here. Goku looked around and spotted Crystal in some man's arms.

"Crystal?" he questioned. "What am I doing here?"

She pushed herself off Bardock and smiled at Goku, "Goku, I'm not Crystal. My real name is Katriana."

"Oh. I like that name," said Goku. Then, he asked again, "What am I doing here? Who's that?"

"Geez, Kakarot," said Bardock, crossing his arms and rolled his eyes. "Can't you recognize your own father? We even look the same."

Katriana giggled as Goku stared at Bardock with his mouth open in shock. "Are you serious!?" cried Goku, dumbly.

"very," replied Bardock, seriously, "Now, I would love to chit-chat and see how my son and daughter are doing, but we've got no time." Goku closed his mouth and looked seriously towards his father. Katriana ceased her laughing and did the same. Bardock nodded towards them. They were like the perfect soldiers. They were perfect soldiers.

"Frieza is here and is attacking Vegeta and your friends, Kakarot," began Bardock, "A Namekian has joined the battle and seems to have the upper hand. But," he said before Katriana could interrupt him, "Frieza has only gone to his 2nd transformation. Only one person has seen him gone to the maximum and that is you, Katie (pronounced Cat-y)."

"Soon, he will undergo to his 3rd transformation to give your friend a treat," continued Bardock and paused. "That has now passed. Frieza is a very powerful foe and should not be underestimated. When I received the power to see the future, I foresaw Vegeta-sei's destruction." He stopped pacing and looked at his son and daughter. "I also saw the two saiyans who would finish the rein of Frieza. You two."

"This is your destiny. To defeat Frieza. To stop people from fearing him. You are the legendary super saiyans," he said. Bardock looked at his daughter and stated, "You, my daughter, already is a super saiyan, but know not yet how to control it." He turned to Goku. "My son, you are the next super saiyan in making. You are almost healed of all your wounds…"

"Find your friends before Frieza kills them. Avenge the deaths he was responsible for. Avenge the deaths of your family and friends. Avenge the deaths of the saiyans, Namekians, and earthlings!" Bardock cried. "Make sure he will never rise again and cause chaos no more. Use your anger and channel it to boost your energy. I will always love you, Kakarot…Katriana..." he said as he faded away. "I'll always be here…"

"Daddy!!" shouted Katriana running towards his fading body. "Don't go!!"

"…I love you…"

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

"Noo!!" screamed the blue-eyed girl, springing up in sweat. She looked around and soon heard something beeping. Then, the machine's window broke with one ki blast from Goku, who had been inside the machine. They looked at each other for a moment after Goku stepped out of the tank, soaked. They nodded at the same time and she got up. They flew to the top of the ship as Goku looked for their friends' ki. Soon, they blasted off towards the direction.

"Kakarot? …Goku?" spoke up Katriana.

"Hmm…?"

"How did you know where they were?" asked Katriana.

"I felt out their energy or ki," explained Goku.

"Can you teach me now?" she questioned. "Don't worry, I learn fast."

"…Okay," he said, "I don't know how to explain exactly, but basically you have to concentrate on someone's energy level. Or just concentrate on that person. You should be able to feel them. Understand?"

"Hmm…I think so," she murmured.

"There they are!!" shouted Goku, pointing ahead. Katriana looked up and saw something white and purple. She also saw a green Namekian, Krillen, and Gohan a few feet away from Frieza. But where was Vegeta?

'Where is he?' thought Katriana 'Wasn't he suppose to be with them? What is going on?'

Katriana and Goku landed, as Frieza was about to step up and fight Piccolo, Krillen, and Gohan. Frieza looked up to see who the new arrival was quiet surprised. Goku calmly walked up towards his friends, closely followed by his younger sister.

"I get it now, that big mysterious chi was you, Piccolo," said Goku, "The dragon balls brought you here, huh?" He started to walk ahead towards Frieza as he said, "Sorry, I'm late. At least I got better…"

Katriana looked around, searching for Vegeta. Her eyes looked on the ground and not even a few feet away from her former master, was…Vegeta. She gasped and gave out a heartbroken cry, alarming Goku.

"Vegeta!!" she shouted, running past Goku and towards her love. She kneeled next to Vegeta and placed his head in her lap. "Vegeta…"

"…K-Katriana…??" he muttered.

"Hai, it's me…I've always been here, Vegeta. Since the beginning," said Katriana, tears starting to flow down, "I have my memory back. Don't worry, you'll be all right. I'm here…"

Vegeta's arms came up slowly and he put his hands on the back of her head. He slowly brought it down, their eyes locked on each other. Their lips met and as far as the prince of saiyans knew it, it was the sweetest kiss he would ever have. Katriana raised her head back up still keeping her eyes on her lost love.

"Katriana?" questioned Frieza. Then he laughed, "So, you truly have fallen for the prince of saiyan like he has fallen for you."

Katriana snapped her head up to glare at Frieza. One could see the fire and hatred she had for Frieza. Frieza saw this and took one step back, in surprise. But, he quickly regained his composure and cleared his throat.

"I have vowed to kill all saiyans and that seems to include you, my dear," he said, "But if you are still on my side, I'll spare your life. You are my precious warrior of course."

Katriana sprang up and shouted, "Still on your side?! Still on your side!? All I am to you is your stupid precious warrior that you've trained for so long so that you could use me! Are you crazy! This is your entire fault! You ruined my life! You are the cause for everything that's gone wrong!"

"You are the reason my family is in shambles! You destroyed my home!"

Frieza glared at the girl whom he had trained very hard all those years ago. "So, you won't join me? It's so sad that you will have to die. If you wanted to join your family so much, I am glad to be the one to send you there," he said coldly. That's when he noticed Goku standing next to her.

'Why do I think I've seen him before?' thought Frieza and then it hit him all of a sudden.

"You're a saiyan too aren't you?" he said to Goku.

"That's what they tell me," replied Goku.

Frieza smirked. "I believe I know who you're father is…I killed him when he resisted when I destroyed Vegeta-sei. He resisted until the end," Frieza laughed cruelly. "So…you and Katriana are related…"

Frieza raised a hand and beams of light came out as fast as lightning. Krillen and Gohan went to duck and yelled Goku and Katriana to do the same. But, they stood their ground and waited for the attack to come. Almost at the same time, they knocked the beams with one hand without a sweat.

"Whoa…" breathed out Krillen and Gohan. Piccolo just gaped at them in shock

Vegeta stared at them, astonished and pleased at the same time. Then, a realization hit him and he started to chuckle hoarsely. His chest was hurting him. "Don't take them lightly, Frieza. They're the one you've been afraid of…the super saiyans!!"

This time, Katriana knew what he was talking about, but was stills hocked as well as was Goku.

"You heard me! The legendary super saiyan! The most powerful in the universe! Ha, ha! You're through," cried Vegeta, sitting up on his elbows, "I'm glad I lived to see it!"

Frieza frowned and raised his finger again. But this time, instead of aiming for Katriana and Goku, the beam hit Vegeta straight in the heart. Katriana gave out a loud scream and then a sob. She ran to Vegeta and held him in his arms. She put her hand underneath him as she cried.

"Didn't I tell you?!" cried Frieza. "I…Hate…Jokes!!!"

Vegeta coughed causing blood to come out. "Vegeta…" sobbed Katriana.

"You-you can't die…not now…"

"Vegeta…!" said Goku. Then, he turned to Frieza and shouted, "He couldn't fight you! He couldn't even move! You didn't have to do this!"

Frieza smirked. "I told him to shut up about his ridiculous 'super saiyan' legend. I detest people who repeat themselves."

"K-Kakarot…y-you fool…that's what limits you," Vegeta croaked, "Be merciless! Lose your…damn sentiment…and you could be the super saiyan!"

"I-I could never be merciless like you," said Goku, "I don't even know what this 'super saiyan' is supposed to be!"

"The…the super…" Vegeta started but coughed again.

"Stop talking!" cried Katriana, "You're just killing yourself!"

But Vegeta didn't stop and went on. "Kakarot, how do you think…Vegeta-sei, the world were you and I were born…was destroyed?? Not…because of some…meteor impact…"

"Not even having your heart run through can shut you up!" smirked Frieza. "How long is this going to go on?"

"It was…Frieza!" said Vegeta. "We saiyan did-did as he commanded. We were his hands…his muscles!"

Katriana looked up in shock as well as Goku. She knew about the things saiyans did back then. But to hear if from Vegeta…

"And yet…he killed them all…your parents…my father, the king. He killed them all because…of fear a super saiyan would rise among us!" By that time, Vegeta, the prince of saiyans, was shedding tears. "Pl-Please, Katriana, Kakarot…Frieza-Frieza…must die…by a saiyan's hand…" Vegeta looked at Katriana and said, "I love you…I always will…" Then and there, Vegeta took his last breath and passed away. Katriana just sat in silence, not knowing what to do. She didn't know whether to cry or just destroy something. Goku came up behind Katriana, who was a speechless as he was.

"…Vegeta…I never thought I'd see you cry or beg for anything," said Goku, "You must have hated it…"

""…He did hate it…" Katriana said softly, "It was more than all those saiyans getting murdered though. He used him and he hated it, I can tell. Vegeta became heartless, though not totally because he gave his heart to me, but he still had the pride of a saiyan…"

She got up, still looking down at the ground. Goku's hands clamped into fists angrily. Suddenly, he looked to his left and with a single kiai, blasted a hole in the ground not too far off. He bent down to pick up Vegeta's body and walked towards the hole, followed by Katriana. Goku placed him in the hole and started to dig him in.

"…Vegeta…I want you to give some of that pride to me," he said and got up after finishing, "To us! I may have been raised on Earth, but I'm a saiyan too!" He looked towards Frieza, "For all the saiyans you killed…and all the Namekians you killed…I'm going to destroy you!!"

Katriana suddenly seemed wide-awake and glared at Frieza also. "For my father, Raditz, Vegeta, my friends, and anyone's life you've destroyed…I'll dispose of you!!" she screamed, not stopping the tears from flowing down her face.

Frieza smirked and went into a stance. "Bring it on…"

Katriana and Goku growled and blasted towards him with fists ready.
