Part II

(10 years later)

"Ow! Vegeta! That hurts!" shouted Katriana, rubbing her cheek, "Why do you have to punch so hard!"

"Now you complain, Kati? I've been punching you like that for the last ten years!" he said, flying down to her. He offered his hand and she gladly took it. "You're such an onna no ko," he smirked.

"I am a girl, you baka!"

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't notice!" he said, sarcastically. She stared at him cold daggers and pulled her hand away. Katriana walked away in a huff. 'Shimatta, I must have upset her! Not again!' Vegeta panicked. He ran up to her and grabbed her hand.

"Nani!! Let me go!" she yelled.

"Gomen! I'm really sorry!" Vegeta apologized.

"Are you really sorry?" she asked, suspiciously. He nodded and she stared at him as if there was something on his face. "Aww, you know I can't be mad at you, Vegetable Head!" she finally cried and hugged him.

Vegeta smiled and hugged her back. (**stares in disbelief** You actually hugged her back) (Vegeta: **rolls eyes**) After a while, he asked. "Wanna spar?" Katriana glared at him and he cowered a little. 'Kuso! Why'd I have to do that now!' he said to himself. Surprisingly, she started laughing. "Nani?" he asked.

She smiled and replied, "You should seriously stop cussing so much, Veggie Head."

He looked at her and growled, "What'd I tell you!? Don't go inside my head."

She laughed nervously and said, "Err…Let's spar." Katriana left Vegeta alone and ran out to the training center. Vegeta flew after her. After catching up with her, he picked her up while flying making her scream hysterically.

"Let me down or I'll blast you in the next dimension!!" she shrieked.

"That's my line," he accused.

"I don't care!! Let me down!!" Vegeta shrugged and let go of her. Katriana fell at a fast speed towards the ground. As planned, Vegeta saw Nappa fly towards her. Screaming at the top of her lungs, Nappa caught her and placed her on the ground. Vegeta flew down and heard his friend say, "Gomen, Nappa, for yelling in your ear."

"Don't worry," he mumbled, rubbing his ear and walked away.

'She looked mad,' thought the Saiyan prince.

"You bet I am!" cried Katriana, disturbing his thoughts. (Uni: don't you just hate it when people drop you from hundreds of feet up? ^_~) "You baka Veggie Head otoko!!"

Vegeta cringed and though, 'Kuso I made her mad again! Better calm her before she blows up Vegeta-sei!' This time Katriana wasn't listening to his thoughts because she was too busy yelling at him. 'Better figure out a way to calm her.'

(2 years later)

Katriana, Vegeta, Nappa, and Hanna were eating in the cafeteria, quietly talking to themselves. When Katriana suddenly asked, "What's being out there like?" Everyone remained silent. "Nani?"

"You've never been there have you?" said Hanna. Katriana shook her head. (Uni: If any of you are confused, she's talking about being in space)

"Frieza never let me. I asked him once why he never let me go on one of those missions," she replied, "He said it was too dangerous." Katriana looked up at them, "What do you guys do anyways?"

Before anyone could answer, Vegeta said quickly, "We ask the leader of the planet if they want to join Frieza's empire." (Uni: A lie, a lie I tells you!) (Vegeta: Shut up!!) (Uni: Yes, sir)

"That's it?" he nodded. "That doesn't sound dangerous to me." She placed her head on her hand. "Why won't he let me go!" she whined. Katriana stood up and put her tray away before leaven for the outside.

"Why didn't you tell her, Prince Vegeta?" asked Hanna. He didn't reply and stared after the young saiyan onna no ko. Vegeta go up and went after her. "Those two have gotten closer, ne, Nappa?" Hanna asked the big otoko.

He grunted. "Yeah. First, they hate each other, then their friends. What's gonna happen next? They fall in love," he said in a rather angry way. Hanna stares at him and shrugged. (Uni: Don't worry, he's not, what you call gay ^_^)

The Saiyan Prince walked outside and found his friend sitting on a tree branch, staring up at the sky. 'Probably trying to see if she can see a star,' Vegeta thought. He walked up to her and soon he was leaning on the same tree she was sitting on. No one said a word. Vegeta had his arms crossed and was looking at nothing in particular. (Uni: You know what I'm talking about!) Katriana still looked up in the sky.

"What's it like?" she asked, finally.

"Nani?" He looked up at her.

"Up there," she motioned to the sky with her hands, "What do you think of it?"

Vegeta shrugged. "It's okay. I guess."

"Be serious!" she scolded. "What'd you think of it the first time?"

"Like I said," he replied, "It's alright." She stared at him. "Don't try and listen to my thoughts, Katriana." She frowned and scoffed.

"Fine, meanie." There was another moment of silent between the two. A wind blew by and Katriana's hair got in her face. She tucked it behind her hair with her hand, "What do you think it feels like to fall in love?" she asked, suddenly.

Vegeta looked at her in disbelief. "Now how in Kami did all of those get in your head? Is something the matter with you? You've never asked me anything like that before!"

She rolled her eyes at him and shrugged. "There's nothing wrong with me." She jumped down and onto the ground and looked at the horizon. "It's just that, Raditz is always on those stupid missions and so is my otosan. You, Nappa, and Hanna are going away more and more and I'm left all alone." Katriana looked back at the emotionless face Vegeta. "That means Frieza trains me and I have a lot of time to think." (Uni: I don't know why but I seem to have an urge to put 'Mister' Frieza)

"That still doesn't explain why you asked me what I think on love," he said in a disgusted tone.

She made a face and said, "I just wanted your opinion you baka!" he shrugged in reply. A hint of annoyance was shown on her face. She turned back to the horizon, her back to Vegeta. "I'd think it would be a great feeling," she whispered. He would've barely heard her because of the wind, but with his saiyan hearing, he could hear her well. "To be loved and knowing that someone loves you more than life itself."

"Whatever," he mumbled.

"You're no fun, Veg-head!" she cried turning around to face him.

He sighed and looked at her. "I'm just not fond of this subject," he said, not wanting to get her mad again.

"You should have said something then," she said. Then smiled, "Ever been kissed?" she asked, knowing it would annoy him. Which was exactly what she was doing.

"Can't we go onto another subject?" he asked annoyed.

"Iie." She walked to him, a grin on her face. Katriana placed herself next to him. "Are you going to answer me or not?" He kept quiet as she suspected and snickered. "Didn't think so," she sang. He rolled his eyes.

"Do you know what it feels like to be kissed?" she asked, grinning.

He growled determined not to give in. But, she was still going on and on. Vegeta closed his eyes and concentrated, trying to ignore her. She could hear Vegeta growled and smiled. She was inside his head, still babbling. Then, she felt something standing in front of her. She peeked, opening one of her eyes, and saw Veggie err…Vegeta, his face very close to hers.

"Quit it, you're giving me a headache," he growled. She could feel his breath on her face.

"Fine," she said. She slipped under his arms and walked to the field, "But since you want to talk about something else. Fine." Katriana looked at Vegeta who had gone back to his original position. "Trust me, Vegeta-chan," she said, "One day, I'll be out there like the rest of you."

"Whatever."

(1 year later)

Katriana sat in the tree she sat in exactly a year ago. This is where she asked Vegeta about personal things he never answered. She smiled at the memory. Zarbon came up to her and looked up.

"What are you doing?" he asked and got a shrug as a reply, "Humph. Master Frieza wishes to see you this instant."

She looked down at him and said, "Doshite? It's not time for me to train with him just yet."

"It isn't my business to know, brat," he said. She looked at him and went into his brain to find the answer using her power. "Well!!?" She didn't find anything and pulled back.

"I'm coming," she mumbled. Katriana jumped off the branch and followed Zarbon inside and into a space pod. They flew into Frieza's spaceship and she continued to follow Zarbon. 'What could this be about?' she thought 'I hope he doesn't know about my power, otherwise I'm screwed. Vegeta-chan will be mad at me. Kuso! Oh, shimatta! Vegeta is rubbing off on me!' she entered the room where Frieza sat in his flying thingamabobber.

"Master Frieza? You have summon me?" she asked, dropping to one knee. She looked up at him with a questioning look.

"…" He said nothing and continued to look out in space. There was a big window in the room they were in that pointed towards space. Beyond there, there was the planet Vegeta. 'I never knew Vegeta-sei could be so beautiful from up here' she thought, 'How come I've never noticed before? I've always been in this room.'

"Master Frieza?" she asked again, uncertain.

His flying what-chama-call-it turned around and there sat Frieza. In some way, she loathed him, but in another, she was grateful for him. He took care of her and trained her to be the best. He picked her, out of every other warrior on Vegeta-sei, to train. Katriana was grateful because her training was helpful. She would beat up any saiyans guys that would flirt with her.

The reason she also loathed him was that he had taken her away from her otosan and brother. She loved them dearly, even though they never spent a lot of time together. But then again, she never did spend any time with anyone. She was all alone and she blamed him for it. If he had left her and her family alone, there was a slight chance she wouldn't be like this. But Katriana never told anyone how she felt. Only Vegeta knew of this.

"Katriana," he finally said, in his granny voice (Uni: He's a guy right, LOL).

"Yes, sir?"

"You have been wanting to go out on a mission. Am I correct?" he asked, looking her way.

She hanged her head and replied in a timid voice, "Yes, lord. I have."

"…" He turned around and looked towards the window again. "I…have decided to let you go on one mission." She beamed as she heard this. "But," Her face fell. "If you do not do well, we will be training even harder! This is your test!"

She smiled a little and replied, bowing, "Yes, sir. Thank you, m'lord." When Frieza didn't say anything, she took that as a hint to leave. Katriana exited the room and once the doors closed, she skipped happily to the pod center and left the ship. She waited there jumping happily. Vegeta was going to be back any minute.

As the young saiyan girl entered the center, Vegeta, Nappa, and Hannah got out of their pods. She skipped over to them and jumped on Vegeta happily. He caught her and Katriana continued smiling. She let go of him and hugged Nappa and Hannah. The young Saiyan prince looked at her with a questioning look. (Uni: he'd be…19 years old now, ne? If my calculations are correct.) Katriana had a huge smile on her face and was skipping around the pod center, hugging everyone in sight, even, the saiyan guys that she had beaten up once and only once. Vegeta had beaten up the others couple of times.

Vegeta, Nappa, and Hannah stared at her and they had a big sweatdropped on the back of their heads. Finally, Vegeta cleared his throat and decided to ask her, once she landed right in front of him.

"Umm…Katriana, what's wrong?" Vegeta asked. (Uni: Yes, I know…he's kind of OOC…at least that's my opinion.)

She stopped hopping and walked over to him. "Mister Frieza is letting me go on a mission!!" She said happily.

The three experienced saiyans stared at her in shock. They all knew that Vegeta had lied to her to protect her. They also knew for a fact that she wasn't ready to get out and go on the missions. She was very emotional and someone that would obviously break down, when she learned what they did.

"Uhh…congratulations…I guess," said Hannah, finally speaking up. Vegeta glared at her and she looked away.

"What's wrong?" she asked, looking at their faces. Katriana knew they were hiding something from her. "Tell me now!" she demanded when no one spoke.

Since, Vegeta didn't answer because he was growling in anger, Nappa said, "There's nothing wrong. You are just imagining things, girl."

Nappa and Hannah knew nothing about her powers. She narrowed her eyes and tried to get inside his head because she knew he was lying. Vegeta saw this, and knew what she was going to do, since he was the only who knew. He grabbed her, getting her out of Nappa's head. She didn't even have the time to see anything, when she got out of focus. The prince dragged her out of the pod center and continued to pull her down the hallway.

"Vegeta!! Vegeta! What's wrong? Where are you pulling me off to!?" she asked. He was angry and she knew it, but she didn't know why. She closed her eyes and let him drag her to wherever and tried getting into his head. But, he had seen it coming and blocked her.

'Vegeta. I've never seen you so mad. Why won't you tell me what's wrong.' She thought.
