Pan slunk back to her room, trying to avoid anyone that might have seen the exchange between her and the prince. As she slammed the door behind her, she grumbled to herself. "That idiot! Who does he think he is?" Her eyes scanned her room and noticed a note lying on her pillow. Picking it up, she noticed her name written on it in slightly childish handwriting. Opening the note, she read the contents silently.
Onna,
I feel horrible for the position I put you in earlier this evening. I would like to give you the opportunity to save face. Meet me in the training facilities tomorrow morning before sunrise. If you can beat me, I will be more than happy to give you an apology. If you cannot, however, you will be my loyal servant for a week. How does this sound?
Prince Vegeta
Pan crumpled the note and tossed it into the trash basket. `So he wants me to meet him in the morning. I'll get my apology.' Her clothing started to bother her, so she stripped out of them and grabbed out her favorite pajamas. Her pants were green camouflage skulls and the shirt was just a plain black tank top. The colors looked wonderful against her creamy white skin, or at least she thought so.
Digging into one of her bags, she grabbed a black and crimson leather bound journal. Pan reached into her bag again and brought out a pen, and proceeded to write about her day.

Vegeta answered his door to find his best friend and personal guard, Raditz, standing there. "Hello Raditz, did you deliver my note?" Raditz walked in and nodded faintly. "Good, think she'll show?"
Raditz sat down on Vegeta's bed and looked at him skeptically. "Vegeta, why do you care so much about rather that foreign onna comes to meet you tomorrow? I mean, you hate to apologize and you sure as hell don't need another servant."
Vegeta smirked at his friend's naiveté. "The onna is a saiyan and doesn't know her place for one. I also like her spirit. I've never found an onna that would try to hurt my pride like she did."
Raditz stared at his best friend as if he had grown a second head. "If you say so Vegeta. I still think she's not worth the trouble." He offered his hand for a handshake and the younger saiyan accepted. "I need to go on my rounds. Have a good night." With that, he sauntered out of the room and went about his business.
Vegeta laid down on his bed and sighed, staring at the ceiling. `This is going to be a long night. Why do I think of the onna as I do?'

That night, both of them had a fitful sleep. Vegeta couldn't wait to see Pan and make her his servant and Pan couldn't wait to show Vegeta that he should apologize. Neither one of them was anything but confident that they could best the other.
Pan was awakened that morning by a pounding on her door. Yawning slightly, she threw the covers back and walked over to answer the knock. Grumbling about what time it was, she opened the thick oak door and stood staring at Raditz. "What…do you want?"
Something in Pan's voice sent a tremble down his spine, much like Vegeta could. "I've come to ask if you want to join Vegeta for training this morning." Pan's eyes narrowed as if she were either trying to scare him away or make sense of the whole mess.
A soft sigh escaped her lips as she stared into the older man's eyes. "Will Kuris be joining us?" Raditz shook his head and crossed his arms over his chest, trying to look intimidating. Another moment passed as Pan reached over and grabbed the door by its edge. "Give me five minutes." She smirked softly and banged the door shut.
Raditz stood shocked at her behavior. `No onna has ever dared talk to a royal guard like that…' Vegeta had asked him to meet him in his room for a moment before he escorted the onna to the training facilities but he was frozen in place, contemplating why the girl could possibly have the courage to slam a door in his face.
Pan grumbled as she pulled through her bags, trying to find something to wear to spar in. She finally decided on a pair of loose fitting gray pants and an ebony tee shirt that read Hey Look, the Circus is in Town. Let's Go see if Your Mom is Working. Pulling a brush through her hair, she sighed and wondered exactly what she was getting herself into.

Vegeta stared at his clock and wondered if perhaps Pan had killed Raditz for waking her up so early. `The girl could probably do it if she put her mind to it.' He shook his head and walked over to his wardrobe, pulling out his favorite training clothing. Getting dressed, he went over his plans in his head.
A knock on the door interrupted on his thoughts. "Enter, and that had better be you Raditz." The entrance opened to reveal an incredibly disgruntled looking Raditz. Closing the solid oak door behind him, he stood at attention and sighed, knowing that he was going to get the brunt of whatever frustration Vegeta was feeling because he was late. The shorter man turned around and looked at him. "Well, explain why you are exactly seven minutes and twenty-eight seconds."
Raditz raised his eyes to meet Vegeta's. "The girl…she surprised me and I needed to get my thoughts together. I don't suppose I have a good reason for being late my Prince. I give you my sincerest apologies." His tail wrapped itself around his waist in a defensive manner.
Vegeta's eye twitched somewhat but he didn't even bother to utter what was on his mind. He finished dressing quickly and marched towards the exit. "Get the onna and bring her to the training facility if she wishes to spar." Before the guard could react, Vegeta slammed the door shut.

Pan opened her door to expose Raditz and Kuris. A small smile appeared on her features as Kuris bowed to her. Facing Raditz, she grinned and raised an eyebrow. "What's the matter monkey boy? Were you afraid to come to me by yourself?" Raditz let out a warning growl. "Yeah, I noticed the shiver and I saw the look in your eyes…"
Kuris looked over to the elder saiyan, pondering what Pan meant. "Well, Prince Vegeta would like you to come to the training facilities now and I thought you'd be more comfortable if I accompanied you and Raditz."
Pan studied her appointed guard and nodded. "That's kind of you Kuris." She looked over at Raditz for a moment before she spoke. "Well, we wouldn't want to keep Princey waiting."
