Best friends for ever…

I took a walk around the world

To ease my troubled mind

I let my body laying somewhere

In the sand of time

I was walking around on the streets, thinking about what had happened that day.

I had taken Paris out for lunch and we had talked about our relationship. I thought it went well between us, I mean I'd given her everything I possibly had to give! But that apparently weren't enough for her because she made it over today.

I remember her words so clear.

She looked so beautiful today and I was thinking that it maybe was on time I made her mine forever.

``Are you listening, Goten?´´ she asked with her usual busy voice.

``Sure Hun. Why shouldn't I?´´ I asked feeling a little dumb because now she was probably gonna ask me to repeat what she just said and I haven't been listening.

``Good… well, Goten I think we should break up.´´ She said and looked directly into my eyes.

``WHAT? Why?´´ Was she gonna leave me?

``I just told you! Goten you're a very sweet guy but just not what I want… I hope you understand´´ I was in shock. What should I say?

``Er…´´

``I'm glad you do´´ she said and run out of the cafeteria leaving my life for ever.

I feel there is nothing I do, yeah

I didn't know where to go because every body thought that I was out of town.

I told them that to get some peace because people constantly needed me to help them or do something for them and I wasn't expected to be home before some day in next week. Not even Trunks knew that I was here. Well, I guess that me and him isn't the best friends right now anyway and that had actually bothered me in a long time now.

We had fought about that I was spending way to much time with Paris and he felt let down.

When I finally knew where to do I also noticed that it had been several hours sins I ate so I went to get something to kill my hunger.

After eating I had decided to go talk to Trunks so I went to see at him at CC but what I found was quite unexpected.

I was standing in the shadow of the big house, watching my beloved ex-girlfriend go all over Trunks.

He was leaned up against the house wall, holding her close

``Oh Trunks, I love you so, so, so much´´ She whined when he pulled a long box up of his pocket.

``I'm so glad I dumped that excuse for a boyfriend…Oh my good, this is so beautiful´´ she said while opening the box.

``Hey! Don't talk like that about Goten. He's my friend ya´know.´´ Trunks grinned.

``Excuse for a boyfriend? Is that what you think of me?´´ I had stepped out of the shadow and was now standing 10 feet away from them.

``G-Goten!´´ Paris stemmed by the sight of me. Trunks just looked in horror

``Yeah it's me! How long?´´ the anger was boiling in me.

``A-a week. -But I thought…´´ Trunks was trying really hard to come up with an excuse.

I really don't mind what happens now and then

My hand flew through the air and knocked Trunks to the ground

``Basted!´´ I yelled.

Trunks looked at me with confusion

``Hey! She told me you broke up two weeks ago´´ He said and whipped some blood away from his mouth.

``She..? Why?´´ I turned to face Paris who stood a few steps away from Trunks.

``Why?´´ she laughed.

``Because you're a jerk! That's why… I only used you to get close to the future president of Capsule Corp.´´ Her voice was so provoking. I wanted to kill her. She was the one I had even thought about marrying but before I could react Trunks had got up and slapped her across the face so she fell to the ground.

``But?... Trunks, darling…´´ She whined.

``watch your mouth, slut. No one calls my best friend a jerk´´ Trunks screamed at her preparing to slap her again but then he suddenly calmed and putted his arm down and straighten up.

``You're not worth it´´ He said in a tone so condescendingly it made even me shiver.

You stumbled in and bumped your head,

I picked you up and put you back

On solid ground

``Get away from here´´ Trunks said and turned away from her. Paris stood up and ran away with out looking back.

``Goten?´´ I was sitting in my knees with tears running down my face. `how could I be so stupid´

``Goten?´´ Trunks repeated. He was now sitting down beside me with a hand on my shoulder. I wanted to tell him how sorry I was about everything but all I could was cry.

Trunks pulled me into a hug and hold it while trying to console me.

``Sssh… It's ok Goten.´´

``N-no its n-not ok… I- I lovede her and… And I let y-you down because of… Her…´´ I cried

``I called you a selfish idiot… I'm sorry, Trunks… I'm really sorry´´

``Sssh… its not your fault´´

We sat there for a few minutes with the only sound of me crying and when I finally calmed down it was trunks who broke the silence.

``Goten!´´ he said and pulled something out of his inner pocket.

It was another box

``Will you be my best friend for ever?´´ I took the box and opened it. There was two rings in it, both had writing on it and the one said `Trunks&Goten´ the other `Goten&Trunks´

``Er…´´ what should I say?

``don't worry. It's not like a gay couple´´ He said quickly.

``Of cause I will´´ I took the ring with Trunks´ name first and putted on my finger. Then gave Trunks the other one.

We looked at each other and on the same time we both said:

``Best friends for ever´´
