King Vegeta ducked quickly to the side, narrowly avoiding the blast that his young son had just leveled at him. He held his breath as the blast raced past him, leaving severely scorched air in its wake. It struck one of the many redstone columns that dotted this area of Vegeta's desert and shattered it. King Vegeta stared thoughtfully at the remains, absently blocking his son's immediate follow-up attack. Prince Vegeta glared impotently at his father, furious at his father's inattention.

"That wasn't a bad attack, boy," the King said after a moment, turning and smirking at his heir. The younger Vegeta smirked back at his father, his already more-than-healthy ego swelling a little more from the praise. "I haven't seen it before. What do you call it?"

The boy frowned. A name? He hadn't thought of naming it. He'd just thought about how much fun it'd be to fry his father with it. Now he thought quickly. It was big, which was good because it proved how strong he was; it did a lot of damage, which was the point; it made lots of noise, which was really cool. He grinned ferally.

"Big Bang Attack!" he announced proudly.

Now King Vegeta's smirk froze. He coughed. "Er. Good name, son."

"Of course it is!" Prince Vegeta said. He tossed his head arrogantly and grinned like a maniac, completely oblivious to his father's lukewarm reaction.

The king sighed to himself, still smiling painfully. Note: teach the kid some better names.
