Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Birth of a Prince ❯ Plots and Plans ( Chapter 8 )
Part 8 Plots and Plans
For a long while the prince simply stared at the unhappy Saiyjin before him. The urge to wrap his arms and tail around the man and comfort him was almost uncontrollable. It was bad enough to have your tail removed at birth as Trunks and Goten had, or to have lost your tail in a fight or an accident like he and Gohan had, but to try and force a fully grown Saiyjin to have a newly regenerated tail removed bordered on sheer madness. Especially if that idiot woman was withholding sex as an incentive. Saiyjins were passionate creatures of pleasure. They reveled in pleasures of blood, battle, of the palate and the sating of hunger. And often, all of those were present in the pleasures of sex. Taste, scent, blood and battle, hunger dissipating as sweaty bodies writhed together, unifying in the ultimate pleasure. Vegeta mentally shook himself. Damn, he was getting aroused just thinking about it! Now is not the time, he scolded himself, we have the chibis and their tails to think about. We can deal with Kakkarott's angst later.
"Kakkarott," Vegeta said slowly, thinking it out as he spoke. "I want you to go back to Capsule Corp and talk to Bulma. Let her know what is going on here. I'll also give you a note to her from me."
"Why don't you go," asked Goku, puzzled. "I mean, she is your wife."
"Bakayaro, we are not married, we never have been. Don't you think you would have gotten a wedding invitation if there had been one?" Goku looked slightly stunned. Vegeta ignored it and continued. "If I go, I have to take Sage with me. You can use that damnable instant transmission technique, and be there and back in the time it would take me to get there. I want to let Bulma talk to Chichi first. She wasn't too keen on Sage keeping his tail when he was born, but she is at least open minded about it. And," here he grinned feraly, "she has never thrown me out of our bed for having a tail. In fact, I'd say she rather enjoys me having an extra limb during sex." Vegeta smirked, inwardly relishing the fierce flush of embarrassment on the younger Saiyjin's face.
"Also," he continued, "I want to talk to Gohan. Do you think he'd mind staying with Piccolo for awhile?"
Goku frowned. "No, I hardly see how that is necessary though Vegeta.
"Simple. Gohan is fifteen, and old enough to make decisions regarding his own body. But he is also a very obedient boy, and still has the need to please his mother. He may concede to having his tail removed simply to make her happy. Do you want that, Kakkarott?"
"No," his reply was forceful.
"Then you have no objections?" Vegeta queried.
Goku sighed. "None Vegeta. It seems I have no choice."
Vegeta looked at him sharply. "The only alternative is unthinkable, Kakkarott," the prince said quietly.
Goku looked back at him steadily. "You're right," he said simply.
"Then let's get started."
Vegeta scribbled down a note for Bulma, explaining the situation, here and at the Sons. He naturally didn't mention the OTHER side effect of the full moon, writing simply that Kakkarott had successfully learned to suppress the Oozaruu transformation, and that once the chibis learned to walk again he would start teaching them. He handed the note to Kakkarott, who took it mutely and pressing two fingers to his forehead blinked out of sight.
Right after Kakkarott left, Sage woke up with a howl. He was hungry and wet and someone he liked having around was gone. Vegeta calmed the tiny tyrant, smiling as the chibi broke his skin again, and drew blood as he bit his father's hand.
"You ARE a Saiyjin prince," he purred at his defiant son, his blood smeared across his chibi's face. "But," he admonished Sage, "You are too young for blood, little chukra" (rough translation, fire child) "How about a bottle instead?"
Taking two bottles from the refrigerator and warming them with his ki, he took the baby outside with him to see how the older boys were getting along. Goten was watching Gohan help Trunks walk across the grass, steadying him when it was necessary, and reminding him to try and use his tail instead of fighting it. Trunks was still wobbly, but seemed to be getting the hang of it. Then he switched his tail too forcefully to the left and fell flat on his face again. Pulling his face out of the grass, he laughed. "I almost had it that time, Gohan, didn't I?" he beamed at the older boy.
"Hai, Trunks-chan, you are doing very well," smiled Gohan approvingly.
"Papa," shouted Trunks, seeing him moving towards them. "Papa, did you see me walk?"
"Yes, I did," replied Vegeta. "Can you do it again?"
Trunks frowned slightly. "I…I think so," he replied hesitantly.
"Then let's see it, boy."
Trunks pulled himself to his feet, swaying slightly as he met his father's eyes. I can do this, he thought to himself. I'll show Papa that I can do this. His face set in determination, he started across the grass towards his father. Gohan, about to offer his help, thought better of it and stayed where he was.
Slowly, carefully Trunks walked, his eyes never leaving his father's, tail swaying rhythmically behind him as he struggled to keep his balance. He stumbled once, but recovered, quickly, and all but fell the last few steps, throwing his arms around his father's legs.
Vegeta gathered him up in his free arm, Sage occupying the other, and hugged the boy to him. Trunks pulled away slightly to look his father in the eyes.
"Papa, are you proud of me?" he asked in an innocently shy voice.
Vegeta smiled at his eldest son. "Hai, Trunks, my son. I am very proud of you."
Trunks beamed a thousand watt smile.
Vegeta carried the boys over to where Goten was still lounging, tail swaying gently above his face, and set them down, asking the boys to watch Sage for a few minutes while he talked to Gohan. Sage was elated at the attentions of the two chibis, and his delighted crowing echoed through the surrounding trees as two tails waved over his face, and tickled his chubby cheeks as he tried in vain to grab them.
Vegeta walked a little ways away from the three younger boys and beckoned to Gohan.
"Can you contact Piccolo," he asked the teen.
Gohan looked startled. For a moment, he looked strikingly like his father. "Of…of course, Vegeta-sama. I can contact him, but why?"
Vegeta wondered how much he should tell the boy. Then shrugging, he decided that the truth was preferable, and filled him in on the conversation he and Kakkarott had had earlier.
When he finished, Gohan's face wore an odd, shuttered expression. Vegeta looked carefully at him, and was surprised to see a spark of anger flashing in those usually gentle eyes.
Gohan muttered something too quietly for Vegeta to hear.
"What was that boy?" he asked his voice harsh.
Gohan's hands were balled up into fists. "I can't believe she'd do that to Dad," he said in a barely controlled snarl. "You're right, Vegeta-sama, it is better that I stay away from there for awhile. I would HATE to do something I might regret later to my own mother."
Vegeta was astonished. Then he smirked. It's the tail, he realized. Gohan is going through puberty, and the tail is bringing out his Saiyjin side most forcefully. I hadn't though about that. Sending him to stay with the Namek is a better idea than I originally thought. Lost in his musings, he didn't notice Gohan stride away, gathering ki as he walked. He blinked as the boy shot a peculiarly shaped ki-blast into the sky. Gohan turned around and told Vegeta abruptly, "Piccolo will be here soon. This takes care of me. What about my brother?"
"Don't worry about Goten, Gohan," Vegeta reassured the demi-Saiyjin. "I won't let anything happen to him."
"You had better not," snapped Gohan. He shook himself slightly, blinked and looked at Vegeta. "I'm going to go wait for Piccolo over there," he said in a more respectful voice, and pointing to the stream. He started to walk away, then stopped, and hugged the older man briefly, fiercely. "Thank you Vegeta-sama," he whispered, and walked away, leaving a very stunned Saiyjin in his wake.
To be continued…..
