Pan woke up on the floor in a position that suggested she had been dumped there. She tried to remember what had happened.
The only thing she could remember was a fuzzy vision of a planet on the brink of destruction. She remembered her father
died....no! He didn't die. He's just away for a while. Even with this reassurance she began to cry.
'Shut up, brat!' shouted a fat pink blob which was suddenly standing over her. She looked up and saw its ugly face. She looked
around the room for a place to hide from it. There was a couch and a bed. Nothing else. She ran under the bed, sobbing the
whole time. 'Get out here now, brat! If you come out now the beating will be less severe!' stated the blob.
'Who are you?' cried Pan.
'I am Dodoria, left hand man of Freeza and you are under my care, now come out this instant, or I'll hurt you!'
'If you touch me my daddy will come and kill you! He's the strongest Saiya-jin in the world!' Dodoria chuckled cruelly.
'Daddy is dead, brat.' PanÕs eyes widened and her heart leapt to her throat.
'Liar! He's gonna come and rescue me! YouÕll see!'
'No he won't. Your planet is gone. It blew up, and ya know what? It was your fault,' lied Dodoria. Pan felt like she was going to
die. He was lying, right? But she could remember her planet and the state it was in. 'It was all your fault that your daddy is
dead. He'd still be alive if it weren't for you! You killed him. I bet he hates you now, you stupid little cunt!' It was a blatant lie,
but it did what it was intended to: Break her heart. Pan felt her heart get blasted into a million pieces. She believed him. Of
course it was all her fault. She had no reason to doubt him, after all.
'N-NOOOOO!!!!!' She burst from under the bed and tackled Dodoria, punching him in the eyes as hard as she could before
blasting the metal door and running away. It only took a second for Dodoria to recover, but that was enough to give Pan a
good enough head start to lose him. He followed her anyway. It was easy enough to know which direction she went. All he had
to do was follow the tear stains on the ground. He turned a corner and saw her running at the other end of the hall.
'I'm gonna kill you, you little bitch!' he yelled after her. She looked back and, seeing him gaining on her, redoubled her efforts.
Without even looking she ran through an open door and crashed into something. She saw a red liquid trail down the leg of the
thing she bumped into. It was wine. She looked to see where it had come from. She looked past the body armour, and past
the black lipstick and into cruel red eyes. The thing glared at her.
'Look what you've done, you impudent little rat!' it yelled, gesturing to the wine spilled all over it's chest. 'Oh, how you will
pay,' it said menacingly. 'Stand up.' Pan hesitated. Its facial expression changed to one of pure rage. It picked her up by the
tail and shook her violently, causing the most unimaginable pain. 'When I, Lord Freeza tells you to do something, you do it!'
Freeza yelled at Pan. He cupped the wine glass in his palm and smashed it into PanÕs face, and then proceeded to grind the
broken glass in even further. When the frantic screams of agony ceased he dropped her limp body to the ground. Zarbon and
Dodoria witnessed the whole thing. Freeza turned to Dodoria.
ÔI put her in your care and this is what happens? I should kill you on the spot! You can mind the prince from now on. He's less
troublesome. Zarbon? You will take care of this little one here. Take her to the medical bay. If she had been blinded by the
little "accident" she had, kill her.' He left without another word.
Zarbon and Dodoria exchanged glances and left, Zarbon with chibi Pan slung over his shoulder.

Medical bay some time later...
'So what your saying is, she has lost all of her memories?' asked Zarbon.
'Well, not exactly,' replied the doctor. 'The glass embedded in her brain will cause her to forget people and places, but much of
her general knowledge is intact. Just think of it as knowing you learned something, remembering what you learned, but not
remembering how you learned it.' Zarbon nodded in understanding. There was a silence, which was broken by Zarbon.
'What's her power level?'
'97, but that's because of her injury. Until she's healed there's no way to find out what it really is. She is very powerful for her
age. Even with the injury, she's only a little weaker than the average soldier. But that's the Saiya-jin for you. Speaking of
which, I have made a very interesting discovery,' said the doctor.
'Oh?' replied Zarbon.
'Yes. SheÕs not a pure blooded Saiya-jin.'
'Really?' said Zarbon in a surprised tone.
'Yes. While her Saiya-jin blood is almost completely masking her nigen blood, the impurity is still there. I'd say that she's
about 2 generations down the line from a pure Saiya-jin.
'This is an interesting discovery. Any idea what race the impurity comes from?' The doctor shook his head.
'No, I'm afraid not. Like I said, the Saiya-jin blood is so predominant it masks the nigen blood.' Zarbon grunted in agreement.
'However, the impurities are visible to the naked eye. For instance, she has stringy hair that grows. A pure Saiya-jin's hair
never grows from the time of birth, and it doesn't seem to obey the law of gravity. Hers does. Another other anomaly is that
her pupils are larger than a Saiya-jin's. A pure blood has perfectly round black eyes. While hers are black, they're oval
shaped. Finally, pure blooded children, even females, have much more muscle mass than she has. This leads me to believe
that she's from a weak race. The only contradiction to this is her high power level. The average Saiya-jin has a power level of
400 at maturity. Hers will almost undoubtedly be far stronger,' said the doctor, finishing his explanation.
'Very interesting. Lord Freeza will be interested as well. Notify me when she is healed,' said Zarbon before walking out.

Vegeta sat in a dark cell. It had been about 24 hours since he left his father's care, and he was terrified. He had heard a lot
about Freeza, but never actually seen him until he came into the throne room to collect the prince. At first sight Vegeta was
nervous, but when his father, who he looked upon as the most powerful being who demanded respect, bowed down and took
insults and abuse from Freeza without even retaliating, Vegeta became so scared he wanted to hide. Not that he would, for he
was taught to never run away, but what kind of being can make his father do that?
Light flooded into the room as the door slid open and a large pink blob came in. Vegeta swallowed his fear and confronted it.
'Who are you?! And why am I being kept in this cell?! I demand to speak with my father!' All he got was a back-handed strike
across the face.
'You will not demand anything! You are lucky to be alive!' yelled Dodoria. Vegeta quickly recovered from the attack.
'You dare strike the Prince of all Saiya-jins!?' he yelled. Even with the incredible anger in his six year old voice, he sounded
scared though he tried to cover it up. Despite the fact he was being yelled at by a monkey, Dodoria laughed.
'What is so funny!? I see no humor in the situation at all!!' cried Vegeta, pointing an angry finger. Dodoria's chuckling died
down.
'Your father is dead, brat,' stated Dodoria. Vegeta snorted.
'What makes you think that my father is dead?' asked Vegeta angrily.
'Maybe the fact that an asteroid crashed into your planet and blew it to bits? Don't you believe me?' sneered Dodoria.
'Of course I don't believe you! Why should I take the word of a fat, stupid, ugly bastard who couldn't bed a woman who works as a concubine if his mother's life depended on it!?' yelled Vegeta, who was very pissed off that such a being would suggest that his planet and people were gone. Dodoria's stance became angry.
'I'll teach you some manners, brat!' He moved to strike the young prince again, but Vegeta saw it coming and ducked. Dodoria
swiped again, but Vegeta jumped over it this time and kicked Dodoria in the gut. The prince expected Dodoria to double over
in pain, but instead nothing happened. The prince was about to strike again, but Dodoria brought a mighty fist down on the
head of the prince, knocking him out cold. He fell to the floor, where Dodoria proceeded to beat him.
Vegeta woke up just after Dodoria had left, and found himself in terrible pain. Every lesion, bruise and internal tear roared in
agony. Not knowing what else to do he sat on the floor in silence, trying to phase out the pain. To make things worse, it was
then he realised that he hadn't eaten since he was last on Vegeta-sei. He sat there in darkness, cold, lonely, hungry and
beaten for longer than he cared to know, but it seemed like a lifetime.
The only thing she could remember was a fuzzy vision of a planet on the brink of destruction. She remembered her father
