In The Beginning

His hands scratched over his stomach as he stared up to the roof. There was nothing on his mind but one thing. He couldn't decide why he was thinking about it? Could it be because of a conversation? Sight? Or that he was always thinking about it?

He picked up a pillow and pressed it against his face messing up his lavender hair, "Get out of my head," He almost growled as he batted the pillow against his head.

How long had it been? Three days? To him it felt like an eternity since the last time he could break the train of thought. Why did it hunt him? He didn't do anything he thought was wrong… did he? Was he hiding something from himself?

He bolted up and whipped the pillow across the room, "Fucking cunt," He screamed before the pillow hit a picture on his dresser and knocked it over.

He jolted up and looked towards the broken glass and picture frame on the ground, "Oh shit," was all he could say as he slowly stood up and started to walk over to it.

He dropped to a knee and his hand slowly started to picture up the shards of glass that were spread out over the floor before it came upon the frame. It froze there a moment before he slid it aside and retrieved the picture of under it.

"Why did you have to do this," He said holding the picture in his hand but not turning it over, he wouldn't, he couldn't but strangely he needed to….

He dropped the picture and stared down at it before tears started to sting his eyes. There was a picture there of him, him and his old best friend. Someone that would probably never want to talk to him again, someone that would never want to see him again and worse of all, someone that would want to hurt him like he had done… now that he looked back on it, he did do something wrong….

"Trunks…" The boy spoke as he looked over towards his best friend.

It was the boys 17th birthday and he had blown off all plans to spend it with his best friend, Trunks, but there was a second reason he had brought the other here. He had to tell Trunks something, something that had never left him mind.

"Trunks," He said again in an irritated tone.

"What Chibi?" He said staring up into the sky.

He sat there for a moment in deep thought; it wasn't too late to chicken out now was it? "I've got something to tell you," He spoke with his voice threatening to turn to jelly, "It's kind of important… well not kind of, really."

"What's that?"

That was Trunks for you. Lying on the ground when his best friend told him that he was something really important to tell him.

"It isn't like I broke something or I did something wrong, it's personal," The younger boy spoke.

Trunks sat up and turned to his friend, "Fuck Chibi," He cried out, "Just spit it out, it's not like I'll never speak to you again because of this."

Goten smiled for a moment before it slipped off his face and he looked down towards the ground, "Trunks, you have to know that I didn't what it to be… I wanted to be like everybody else," He was slightly shaking and he knew that Trunks must've been wondering what the hell he was talking about, "Trunks, I wanted to be like you, I wanted to like girls, but I don't… I'm gay."

Trunks stared at him for a singly moment before slowly starting to climb to his feet, "Tell me you're lying," was all he could say, all he wanted to say, all he need to say.

Goten looked up at him and started to shake his head before a foot was connected with his face, "Why couldn't you have said that you had kissed my sister?" He said as his fist came crashing down into the other's rib cage, "Why could you have said you thought my mom was hot?" His fist came flying into the other's jaw, "Why couldn't you just say that you got a girl pregnant?" His knuckles crashed against the spiky haired boy's face, "But no…" He climbed to his feet looking down at the other, "You've got to be a faggot."

He stared down at Goten for a minute with anger burning in his eyes, why would he do this to me? I have known his for god knows how long. He was my best friend, my only friend though my elementary school years… why did he have to come out to me? He knew how I felt towards faggots.

He growled out and swung his foot forward into the other's ribs before he screamed out, "Burn in hell like the flamer you are," He said before spitting down onto the man and running off.

Trunks sat there with tears streaming down from his eyes, how could he have done that? He loved Goten; he loved him more then just as a friend. He just wouldn't be infected like his father was. His best friends father infected his and he always thought that his best friend had thought the same thing about his father… guess he was wrong.
