HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO THOSE WHO CELEBRATE!
Happy normal day for those who do not :D

Either way, here is my gift to you. I finally got on my computer after not touching it in literally months. I Have a smart phone, my computer has become obsolete. The only reason I come on is to write this fiction. Man, I need to update it, too. My virus software just expired, not that you guys need to know that, it has just been so long since I have been on here to care hahaha. Anywho, here you guys go :D

"Dad?" I could hear my voice crack as my throat felt like it was about to close. The man standing in front of me was an image I never thought could happen in my life ever again. As I looked into his eyes, I could see where I got mine from. His hair was blue, too, but more on a grey scale. I could see in his face where I got some of my features and some that I knew I must have gotten from my mother. I was taking him in as best as I could with water eyes.

"You know, I would expect you kids to have given up on this joke." His voice was monotone, no fluctuation either way of anger or excitement. His eyes were dead to the conversation.

"No dad it's me, Bulma." I didn't know how to start or prove to him that I was in fact his missing daughter.

"Just standing here I can tell that you're not. My daughter had blue hair." He pointed to my head.

"But mine is-" I grabbed a lock in my hand and looked at it, seeing the platinum blonde color. "I just got it dyed not too long ago! I saw you on the TV in the salon and… I just… This is me, dad! I am Bulma! Our family was murdered so long ago and I was taken!" I couldn't control myself.

"That is public information. You are not giving me anything that I have not already shared with the world." His tone remained the same.

I could begin to feel myself panic. I was his daughter and he was denying me. I could feel my heart pound against my chest as I could feel my throat begin to well. He was my dad, I was a product of him. I was standing right there and he didn't believe that it was me. I couldn't even begin to process my thoughts anymore as the room began to shake. My whole life, my whole family was falling apart before it even had a chance to really begin again.

"You're a doctor," Goku spoke from behind me, "Take a DNA test. I can assure you that she is your daughter." My eyes grew wide as I looked back at Goku, quickly turning my head back to face my father. I wanted this to work.

I could see my father looking up at Goku with a strange face before looking back at me. "You are willing to take a DNA test then?" He didn't seem excited, it probably wasn't the first DNA test he had taken.

"Yes, I can take a DNA test." I looked back up at Goku with a smile at his idea before looking back into my father's eyes. "And I'll pass it, too."

"Well alright, but it's going to take about a week for me to get the results. I have a lot of things going on right now so this is not a high priority on my list. I will also need a DNA test from the boy, too." He turned around and began walking away from the door. "Well, what are you waiting for?"

"Wh- why do you want a DNA test from Goku?" I confusingly asked as he and I began to trail inside after him.

"You'd be surprised how many pimps I have on file trying to pass random women as my daughter. I keep their DNA just in case they change their appearance and try to trick me. I've already had a couple of people try this, but I caught them." He turned a corner and disappeared from sight.

"Why would someone do that?" I asked out loud as I tried to catch up to my father.

"Really, the girl who was enslaved to another race is asking this question?" Goku spoke as he followed. He did have a point. If I had learned anything it was that people are capable of far more than I could have ever imagined.

When we turned the corner, it exposed us to a huge laboratory. There were gizmos and gadgets everywhere. I could see what seemed to be unfinished structures, projects, and different liquids in weird containers, lab notes everywhere, a lot of paper scrunched up surrounding a trash can, cabinets with labels of what was inside and more! It was amazing! When I would read about technological stuff on Planet Vegeta, I would always be enthralled and always imagined being able to experiment or build something one day, and here I was knowing where I got all of my scientific interests from.

"Alright, let's do this test." He walked over with two vials in hand.

"So what do I need to do?" I asked as he walked closer to me. I couldn't believe my father was right here, I just wished he knew that it was me, his daughter.

"Hold this." He gave myself and Goku each a vial. Reaching his hand up, he plucked a hair from both the Saiyan and myself; we were definitely not expecting that. With each hair in hand, he placed it in each vial and then began to take them from us, walking away. "Alright, I will call you when I am finished." He placed the vials on a stand, labeling them.

"You'll call us?" I was confused, "Why can't we just stay here with you?" I couldn't process what he was asking. I had waited my whole life for this chance that I never knew I even had and I did not want to leave here.

"Because you are strangers and I do not feel comfortable with a young lady and a brute staying with me here." He turned around to face us both after labeling the samples.

"I can clean for you, or cook for you, or do whatever you need me to. Please, I can't leave you now that I have seen you." Tears began to well up again. I had to try.

"Ah, the best acting I have seen yet young lady." He bowed his head to me, "But the only way I would feel safe with you here and be completely assured you wouldn't rob me blind would be to lock you up in my testing chambers. Since we know that won't happen I'm afraid you'll-"

"I'll do it." I cut him off as I could feel my body tense with the thought of being locked away. "You can lock me and him up, separately too if that makes you feel more comfortable. I do not wish to leave here. You are my father and I am your daughter. Whatever deal I have to make with you I will." I spoke confidently. I wasn't a fan of being locked away, but I would do it for him. If this was my only chance, I was taking it.

"What is the difference waiting here for a week and waiting at your home for a week?" He seemed confused by my logic.

"There is no difference. This is my home because you are my father." I could feel my stubbornness coming out. I was tense like on Planet Vegeta, but not in a defensive way this time around.

"Alright, I'll make you a deal then. You can stay, but the brute will have to either be in the testing chambers or back where you came from until the results come in." His tone was firm.

I looked over at Goku in surprise. I could hand over my body any time I wanted for I was in charge of it, but I knew I had no decision over Goku's body nor what happened to it. I couldn't make this deal unless he agreed.

"I'll do it." Goku replied as he stepped forward to me, putting his hand around my waist as he kissed the top of my head to then look over at my father. "As long as you're not putting any weird gasses in there and as long as Bulma is kept safe, I will remain in the chamber until the results are in." I put my hand on his and squeezed, thankful that he was willing to do yet another thing for me.

"Oh, those chambers are not for gas testing. I test my different gasses in my gas chambers. No, the chamber you'll be staying in is one I am trying to test gravity in. I can raise or lower as I please and I see what people can handle. It's just the only thing I've got that locks since I can't have anything seeping out of it. A perfectly sealed chamber indeed." He came over to me, putting a hand on my shoulder. "You're committed to this, I can tell. You have point four percent more of a chance of being my daughter than any of the other candidates that have claimed such a bold statement."

"Because I am your daughter." I replied back as we began to follow him to the Gravity Chamber.

Looking at his house, it seemed like an empty vessel. There were pictures here and there, but it seemed the most decorated place was in fact his laboratory. His house was huge, but filled with nothing but essentials. His kitchen had a table and one chair, his living room has a fire place and one chair, his hallways had bare walls with only bland colors, everything was set for one man.

When we had finally made it to the chamber, it didn't look like anything I had expected. Instead, it looked like a normal room. There was a bed, weight equipment, and a pretty big tile floor with a wall of mirrors. A fridge was in the corner along with a table and chairs. It was more equipped than his actual house.

"So, what kind of people do you put in here?" I was curious.

"Anyone who volunteers for the program. I actually have a lot of brutes come in here to strengthen themselves. You see, training in higher gravity will help straighten you. 10 pounds in this gravity will turn into 20 pounds in there. Or 50 pounds, depending on what level I select for that individual. But not only do weights change in heaviness, you yourself change. Two times the gravity will turn someone who is 150 pounds to then be 300 pounds. They get a work out, and I get results." He had a joy when talking about this. It was pretty cool to listen to.

"So why a bed?" Goku asked as he looked into the room.

"Some test subjects are addicted to this chamber with their workouts that they wanted to sleep in heavier gravity. I find no problem in it and I get results so it is a fair trade." A smile crept across his face as he looked over his test room.

"How high or low can you make this chamber?" Goku's interest seemed peaked as I looked at the curiosity roaming his face.

"Oh, whatever I want really. I have it maxed out at 100 times gravity though. I am sure I could go higher, but what could withstand that? So far, I only have a couple individuals who can do times 10 gravity." He looked over at Goku, studying his expression as well. "Are you interested in trying this gravity out?"

I could see the look on his face was screaming yes, but there were definitely some precautions to take. We both knew that my father had no idea that Goku wasn't human, I was hoping after all this time he would not expose us now.

"Let me try times 2 gravity per day until the test results. That seems like something to do." A smirk swept across his face too. It seemed that my father and Saiyan would get along great once this whole DNA thing was done and over with.

"Alright. You see that button over there?" My father pointed to a red button on the floor. "If it gets too rough for you, crawl over to it and press it and I will come adjust the gravity so you don't die." He let out a slight laugh.

"I will." Goku nodded as he entered the room, turning around to give me a hug. "If you need anything, or if something bad is happening, just scream and I will break out of here and save you, okay? He whispered in my ear as he held me tight. I nodded my head over his shoulder in compliance.

"Good luck in there, boy." My father spoke as he shut the door, sealing it fully before adjusting the gravity to 2 times what it should be. "Now then, tea?" he asked as he turned around to walk back into the house.

"Yeah, sure." I followed right behind him.

It didn't take long before we were both in his kitchen. I stood at the counter while he began to put a pot onto the oven, heating it up and letting the water come to a nice boil before pouring it into two cups with flavored tea in them. I held my cup with both hands as I let the warmth soothe my soul. He had such easy access to tea here, it was strange. I was still used to Saiyan customs, this whole human thing was so new.

"So, how many people have tried to pass off as me?" I boldly asked as I tried not to think about Goku in a chamber by himself.

"You? Well I am not sure. I am guessing you mean my daughter." He began to stir his tea with a spoon after adding a bit of sugar in it. "Too many to count." A sad look briefly swept over his face as a longing appeared in his eyes.

"Why?" I ignored his comment about me not being his daughter, even though I had been through a lot I never imagined what sick things people were doing to my father. Granted, I thought he was dead, but now that I know he is alive I couldn't imagine what he had gone through.

"Money mostly." He took a sip of his drink before setting it on the counter. "People look for their own dreams through someone else's tragedy. They know that the person who had gone through such heartbreak is desperate to grasp something, so they take advantage of it. When I said that my sons and wife were murdered with bodies to prove it, but my daughter was taken and no body ever found, I had many people try to pretend to be her. There was this one girl that I will never forget who looked just like my Bulma. Her hair, eyes, facial features, just everything was exactly proportionate to what my daughter would have been. I grew quite attached to her, she was a dream come true. She acted like I was her father and she was my missing daughter and played the part quite well, just like you're doing now. Once I did a DNA test without her consent and found out she wasn't my daughter, I promised myself I would never do anything like that every again. DNA test first, but I am not hopeful. Her name was Maron, I'll never forget that name. She turned out to be the biggest player around this town. She scams, people scam, you scam." He took another drink.

I couldn't help but feel outraged by what I had just heard. He was being played with by other human beings just to gain something for themselves. I didn't realize I was holding my cup so tightly until I looked down and saw white knuckles. How dare these people, how dare this Maron. I couldn't believe someone would dare play with a mans broken heart like that just for some fricken money. I wanted to kill her.

"I can assure you that this time it will be different." I looked for his reaction and saw nothing come from it. "You know, I still remember that day I was taken." I nervously looked down at the ground before looking back at my father, his eyes looking straight into mine. It seemed I had peaked an interest. Only his real daughter would know what happened on that day. "We had just gotten home and my brothers raced each other inside to go play with their video games. I stayed next to mom and helped her bring in some groceries, it was dark out and I was scared of it so I stayed to help. You had just walked out the front door to help us bring the bags inside, almost being knocked over by Vest and Sox. I remember you yelling something at them, but you weren't mad. I giggled as they both came running out having to help bring things inside, they were in trouble and I liked it. It was then a flash of light came beaming down on top of us. I thought it had somehow turned into day, but that wasn't the case. These men appeared, 4 of them of different heights wearing strange clothes were standing right in front of us. When one spoke "Show me" we all didn't know what he had meant. You said something that I don't remember and when we couldn't show them what they wanted, the smaller being began to fire these lasers at us all." I could feel my eyes well up again with tears. It had been years since I have thought about how my whole journey in this life had begun. I had put it behind closed doors deep within the depths of my mind. A tear slid down my cheek. "First mom went down, and then both of the boys, and then you got struck. I had backed up against the car not knowing what to do. I was so young, I didn't know what was happening. He was about to kill me too until a taller man appeared and held him off from doing so. He grabbed my hand and ushered me onto this ship and with that my life on Earth was over." I put the cup down to wipe my cheeks from fallen tears. "And with that, my family was over." I didn't even realize that I wasn't looking at him anymore. I brought my eyes back up to see a teary-eyed man.

"Bulma?" He softly spoke as tears began to slide down his own cheeks.

"Yes dad, it's me." Within seconds of me replying, I could feel him holding me in his arms. Wrapping my own arms around him, I embraced my father for the first time in fifteen years.

"What happened to you?" His arms never broke their hold.

"I was taken." I spoke into his shoulder.

"Where?" He pulled away a little to look me in the eyes.

"To Planet Vegeta." I knew he wouldn't understand. "It's a week away from here by spaceship."

"Who is that man?" He pressed the question as he started to piece things together.

"He's my boyfriend." I remembered the term from earlier. "He is a Saiyan, which is the species that killed mom and my brothers. He is the only reason I am here today. He helped me escape, without him, I would be doomed to Planet Vegeta for the rest of my life." Our hug broke as we both stood in front of each other, learning what had happened over the years.

"A Saiyan. So, is he strong?" His curiosity was apparent as he tilted his head a bit. He was a scientist, so the facts definitely spoke to him.

"Very much so. That Gravity Chamber you made doesn't even have a slight chance of holding him in there." I let out a slight laugh.

"Interesting." He brought his hand to his face as he began to think of God knows what. "So, I can trust him then, yes?"

"More than anyone." I smiled back at him.

"I would still like him in that chamber. It'll make me trust him more knowing that he can keep his word." I laughed at his comment but understood fully his concerns. He wanted to make sure that, even though I had given him all of this information, I was in fact his daughter and only the DNA would prove to him 100%.

"I agree, we'll keep the promise and he will stay in there. He loves me, dad." It was weird saying that, but he was in fact my father. He was alive and here we were.

"He loves you?" He sounded concerned at the fact, "Does he want something from you?"

"Yes, and I love him. He does not want anything from me. He has been the rock that I have needed from my time on Planet Vegeta. I've been through less than comfortable situations." I didn't know why I was so emotional. It was like the end of a chapter and I could finally close the book and start a new one. I wasn't going to have to relive anything like that ever again. The tears were uncontrollable now, flowing free down my face with no chance in stopping it.

"We don't have to talk about that now." He spoke softly to me as he held me in another embrace. We stood there in silence for a long time until I had settled down.

"Bulma," My heart skipped when he called me that, "Would you consider letting me do an exam on you? I am curious if your body has taken any serious damage during your stay on that planet, or is effecting you here on this one."

"Yes, you can do whatever. I am used to being poked and prodded." I smirked. I knew he just wanted to make sure I was okay.

"It's only being poked and prodded if you don't want it to happen. We don't have to, I would just like to see what you have endured on Planet Vegeta." He seemed genuinely concerned about me. It was understandable, he just learned I was alive and had been living for 15 years on another planet full of abuse.

"I am more than willing." I smiled at him as we both just looked at each other.

I could tell that he put his feelings away by hiding behind science. This was a way for him to cope, so I was more than willing to partake. It was also awkward since all of the emotion had just gone down. It was also a chance for me to see him in his element; to see what I would have seen growing up. This was clearly his passion and I wanted to be a part of it. I had a family now and I was going to take it all in. "Then let's get started, dad."
