Trunks took Pan's hand and led her away from the lights and sounds of the dying party. Hardly anyone was left and the few that had remained were too sleepy or too drunk to notice them slip away.

"I want to show you something. Can you ride the nimbus? I don't want you to ruin your dress flying."

She flushed and nodded. Only someone pure of heart could ride the nimbus, and by admitting she could she'd just, essentially told him she was a virgin. He put two fingers to his lips and let out a sharp whistle, a moment later the flying nimbus glided to a stop in front of them. He helped Pan climb on and arrange her skirt so that it did not get too wrinkled. Then they were off. Trunks flew beside her through the sky, above the clouds. Pan closed her eyes and lifted her head, allowing the moonlight to fall on her perfect skin. Trunks felt his breath catch in his throat. She was so beautiful. It was only a few minutes before they reached the ridge line. He landed and lifted her down.

"Now close your eyes." She complied and he guided her through a small break in the underbrush and into the clearing. "Alright, you can look."

She opened her eyes and gasped softly. "Oh, Trunks, this is beautiful."

The field was filled with white blossoms each no bigger than a penny. As far as Trunks knew, this was the only valley on Earth completely filled with night-blooming flowers. A soft breeze blew across the field carrying the intoxicating scent of the delicate flowers to the two intruders.

She threw her arms around him and kissed his cheek. Shocked at her actions he put his hands on her waist more out of reflex than intent. She smiled up into his eyes. His pulse pounding in his ears he leaned over and kissed her gently, his lips tempting hers with soft promises. His hand came up to cup her face and they parted. He could feel two spots of color burning on her cheeks.

"We should get back."

His voice was rough, but he didn't care. She nodded and allowed him to help her onto the nimbus once more. He left her with another kiss at her door then decided to fly home under his own power, he was too energized to sit in a plane for hours. He soared high above the clouds, content to just feel the wind on his face and around his body. The cool night air wrapped around him and he inhaled deeply. Trunks felt a foolish grin cover his face. Pan liked him, maybe someday she would feel something more than like, certainly what they had was more than friendship. He knew he must've looked like an idiot with the huge grin on his face but he didn't care. All he could think about was when he was going to see her again.
