Cat, Kitty, Katze, and Kätzchen piled out of the car and went into the woods. They followed the trail that had been created long ago when their ansectors first built the house. The trail lead too a natural spring in which half of it was hidden by weeping willow branches. The hot spring was well away from the house and Ibehusark knew nothing of it. The girls intended to keep it that way, since they did not want him coming around while they were relaxing in the spring. When they reached the spring they moved inside the privacy of the weeping willow's branches. They removed their clothes and placed them in the antique chest of drawers and stepped into the hotspring water. But Cat got out and placed one of her CDs into the CD player to listen too. She wrapped her blonde cat tail around her waist before rejoing with the others.
Pretty soon sweet Country music drifted into the air from the speakers. Kitty watched Katze and Kätzchen splash eachother from her place by the rock. She smiled at their playful innocence, remebering how it felt to be so carefree and playful. But that was before Ibehusark came into the picture. The moment she got into seventh grade things just went down hill. She sighed and placed an arm on the rock and leaned her head resting it on her arm. Her black cat like tail twitched under water lazily. Of course he was always putting their mother in the hospital and none of them could stop him from doing it. For some reason he was stronger then them and not even when they called on the Legendary power of their ansectors could they stop him.
It was then she noticed someone standing on the rock above her though she knew who it was without even turning around.
"Grandmother Emit," said Kitty. "What are you doing here?"
Katze and Kätzchen stopped playing a swam over to join Kitty and Emit, they were soon joined by Cat.
"My beautiful darling girls," smiled Emit crouching down has much has the Ancient Roman clothing would allow. "How was your day?"
"Fine," said Cat.
"Some new kids came to school," said Kitty.
"Oh?' questioned Emit framing interest and surprise.
Both of the older sisters looked at eachother then at Emit with a raised eyebrow before shrugging it off.
"They seem interesting," said Kitty.
"Hey thats because one didn't end up looking between your legs," snorted Cat.
Kitty laughed, "At least you were in clothes though."
"Good point."
Katze and Kätzchen looked at each other before swimming away to continue playing with eachother near the small waterfall that lead into the spring.
"Grandmother Emit," said Kitty. "I have been meaning to ask you."
"Ask me what child?"
"Where are the Dragon I haven't seen them for years?"
Emit frowned, "The Dragons are gone?"
"Yes we haven't seen them since father died."
"I do not know now that you mention I haven't been able to sense them. Let me ask Apollo and see if he has seen anything in his chariot of the sun."
"Very well Grandmother Emit," said Cat.
Then Emit disappeared and the older sisters exchanged a look. They knew something was wrong, they could feel it. They also had a feeling that something bad was going to happen to them and to their little sisters.
"Do you have the same feeling of forbooding that I have?" asked Kitty.
"Yeah I got the feeling that things are going to get worse before they get better."
"Maybe maybe not sister. I have a feeling that those new students are going to become very important in our lives."
"Yes indeed they might very well be important in our lives."
Meanwhile________________________________________________
Carrot, Veggie, Goshin, and Gogeta stood ontop of the school building and survayed the town.
"What do you think?" asked Goshin.
"Don't know but if there is a darkness then I can not feel it," responded Veggie softly.
"Why don't we do a skim of the area," suggested Carrot. "Maybe if we get closer to the source then we might be able to sense it."
"Good idea," said Carrot.
Goshin nodded, "Split up and keep in touch with the communicators."
The others nodded and inserted the ear piece into one their ears and attached the small microphone to their shirts.
"Let's go we have work to do," snapped Veggie. "Cause we still have to contact our parents on the progress we have made so far."
"Right," said the others nodding their heads.
"Let's move out!"
Then they all seperated and went in different directions. Carrot went in the direction where the girls were relaxing in the spring. While Veggie flew in the direction where Greg lived. Goshin went in the opposite of Carrot which would have been where Erohw lived. Gogeta ended up going in the direction that Ekans lived. While Carrot flew over the surronding area of the spring something hit him in the mid spine, which sent him flying toward the ground. He felt the surging pain in his spine from where the blast hit. His clothing began to smoke from where the blast had hit. He removed them since they were slowly begining to catch on fire. Almost has if some invisible match had set it on fire to burn him alive.
"Fuck!" he growled into the microphone.
"Carrot?" asked Veggie. "What is it?! What's wrong?!"
"I got shot from behind!" snarled Carrot regaining his ground in the air.
"How many are there?" demanded Veggie.
"Don't know they aren't anywhere," said Carrot. "Though I can sense them its just that they where there ki signature is they aren't."
"Nani?!" exclaimed Veggie in his ear. "What do you mean they aren't there?!"
"Thats exactly what I said sis they aren't here."
"Hold on we will be there in a minute get into some brush!" snapped Veggie. "I have a bad feeling about this!"
"Right," muttered Carrot under his breathe floating down into a weeping willow tree.
Carrot seattled on one of the branches in the weeping willow leaning back against the trunk. He winced when his back came in contact with the bark of the tree. Instead he leaned forward and perked his ears to hear the laughter of the young female children. He sighed and relaxed not enough so that his twin sister and their friends couldn't find him, but enough so that whoever had shot him hopefully wouldn't find him.
Cat was resting her head on a rock when she felt something skyrocket and something plumet. She looked up in the sky and saw a white shirt and a blue sleeveless trenchcoat disintagrate by some invisible fire. She looked around trying to smell who the clothes had belonged too. But all she smelled was the masculine smell of a monkey.
'What on earth there are no monkeys here,' thought Cat in confusion. 'And even if there where the only zoo is in another toen fifty miles from here.'
Cat looked around has the branches in the weeping willow moved ever so slightly.
'What on Earth?' she asked herself.
"Kitty," said Cat. "Come over here."
Kitty looked over at Cat then slide from the rock she had been sunning on. She moved over to her sister and looked at her questionablely has three figures flew into the weeping willow.
"Carrot are you okay?" asked Veggie.
"Yeah the pain has pretty much worn off now."
"Here let me see."
Carrot sighed and leaned forward to show his sister his scroched back.
"Damnit," muttered Goshin. "They really pulled a number on you. Whoever they were."
"Be that has it may," said a voice above them. "I would like to know what you are doing on my family's land."
They all looked up to see a naked Cat laying on a tree branch. She had wrapped her tail up in a bun and placed it on the small of her back. It was a bit uncomfortable but she was in no intention of causing any problems for her family by revealing that she wasn't human.
Kitty had quickly gotten the younger girls out of the spring and told them to get back into their clothes quickly and not a moment to soon has the people that had been in the tree swung down to join them on the land. Kitty blushed slightly when she saw a shirtles Carrot. However the blush disappeared before he noticed it, though not before Veggie noticed it. Cat joined them soon after landing in a crouch.
"Cat," said Kitty. "Why don't you put some clothes on."
Cat laughed and gathered her clothes going behind the weeping willow to put on her clothes. Goshin's eyes unconsciously followed her movements, then Veggie's hand hit him in the back of the head in irration. Kitty giggled at them while they waited for Cat to come back from putting her clothes on. When Cat came back she looked at the new comers.
"Alright," she said calmly. "Like I asked before what are you doing on our family's land?"
"Look," said Veggie. "No offense but it's really none of your buisness."
"If it is on my family' land," snorted Cat. "Then it is my buisness!"
Carrot and the others exchanged a look, Veggie scowled and shook her head. Her meaning very clear to Carrot.
'It's none of their business,' her look seemed to say.
'They might know or at least have felt the energy that hit me,' Carrot thought.
While Veggie and Cat got into a staring contest, Carrot unconsciously allowed his gaze to wonder to the calm face of the one that was called Kitty. Her hair was up in a tight bun with several strands framing around her face. She didn't seem to be that upset by it in fact she was looking around the forest thoughtfully.
"I think we should go somewhere else to talk," said Kitty still looking around calmly. "The forest has many ears most of which we would not wish to run into."
"Right," said Cat breaking her gaze away from the staring contest between her and Veggie. "Come follow us we will take you to our home we can talk peacefully there."
'Hopefully that bastard isn't home,' thought Cat with a soft growl.
Together the eight of them walked through the woods and walked into the girls' house.
"Hello," shouted Cat. "Anyone home?"
Veggie noticed that the one of the younger girls drew closer to Cat, while the other moved beside Kitty almost has if she was ready for something. Then Kitty placed a hand on her shoulder and the young girl relaxed somewhat. After awhile no answer came and Cat smiled soflty.
"Come into the family room we can talk in there," said Cat moving on and waving her hand for them to follow her.
The others followed her slowly when they reached the front room. The sisters sat on one end of the front room and the others on the other side. They sat in silence for many minutes before Veggie finally spoke.
"I suspect that from the way you two were looking around the forest surronding the Hotspring that you know something lives there," said Veggie looking at the older sisters.
"Well there are many creatures that live in the forest that work for the dark force you seek," said Cat softly.
Goshin stared at Cat and realized that her eyes looked older now and more wiser.
'Pretty,' he thought leaning closer.
"But before we go any further perhaps we should introduce ourselves to eachother for those that do not know."
"Very well," sighed Veggie with annoyance. "My name is Veggie, this is my twin brother Carrot, this is our friend Goshin, and cousin Gogeta."
"Hi!" chirped Gogeta smiling.
"Fine," smiled Cat softly. "My name is Cat, this is my younger sister Kitty, and our younger twin sisters Katze and Kätzchen."
"Hi" chirped the girls together.
"You can call me Kit," chirped Kätzchen.
"And you can call me Catty," chirped Katze.
All the teenagers stared at her for severally minutes blinking.
"What?" asked Katze blinking.
"Nothing sweetie," chuckled Kitty. "I think you are just going to be stuck with being called Katze."
"Why?" asked Katze. "Why can't you call me Catty?"
"We will explain it when you are older," drolled Cat.
"What do you mean when you say that there are many creatures that work for the dark force?" asked Carrot.
"Simple," said Kitty calmly. "There are many creatures of the night that work for this dark force you seek."
"How do you know about this dark force we seek?"
"Simple we just do."
"That doesn't explain much," frowned Veggie.
"I am sorry but I really have no idea how to explain how we know about you searching for the dark force," said Cat with an apologetic smile.
Goshin blinked noticing how cute she looked when she smiled. He blushed at that thought and put his hand behind his head and laughed nervously. Which seemed to earn him a weird look from both Veggie and Cat, a chuckle from Kitty, and rolled eyes from Carrot. Gogeta, Katze, and Kätzchen looked at eachother then looked at the older teenagers, then they looked at eachother again.
"GOSHIN HAS A CRUSH ON CAT!" the three of them exclaimed at once.
Goshin's blush heightened even more at that and the others just burst into laughter. Though Carrot laughed so hard he fell off the couch and landed with a hard thud on the floor, which caused him to hiss in pain. Since the fall jolted his back, which in turn jolted the wound and caused it to bleed somewhat.
"Are you okay?" asked Kitty.
Carrot looked up to see the raven haired girl staring down at him with concern.
"What do you mean?" asked Carrot blinking.
"You're in pain," stated Kitty straigthening up at the same time he stood up.
"What makes you think that?" Asked Carrot blinking.
"I can sense it you are hurt," said Kitty softly.
Carrot stared at the young woman before and felt a blush creeping up his cheeks. Veggie rolled her eyes and ran her hands down her face growling under her breathe. Kitty just smiled sweetly up at him, since he was a full head taller then she was.
"You aren't going to stop smiling until I allow you to look at my back are you?"
"No she won't," muttered Cat.
"Fine," sighed Carrot rolling his eyes.
"Okay come on," said Kitty has she grabbed his arm and lead him to the sun room.
"Where are we going?" he asked.
"To the sun room."
"Why?"
"Because I will be able to see the wound more better," smiled Kitty.
When they reached the sun room Kitty instructed him to lay down on the floor. He laid down on his stomach and allowed her to examine the burn mark on his back. She gasped and gentle reached out to touch it. Carrot gasped and stiffened has her soft cold finger made contact with the burned and scroched skin.
"Oh sorry," she said softly.
"Thats fine it doesn't hurt," grimaced Carrot.
"You know you opened the wound when you fell off the couch."
"I thought the blast just burned it."
"Well it did and it didn't thats the strange part," said Kitty has her brow creased in confusion.
"What do you mean?" asked Carrot.
"With this sort of burn shouldn't cause bleeding yet it for some reason it does."
"What?" asked Carrot trying to turn around.
But Kitty placed her hands firmly on his shoulders.
"Don't move," she said softly. "I can not heal you if you move around so much."
"Heal me?" questioned Carrot though he remained still.
"Yes heal you," said Kitty. "You will feel warm maybe even hot but not in the uncomfortable sense."
Carrot said nothing he just lay there trusting the odd yet amazing beautiful raven haired young woman. He heard her sigh and heard her breathing change and slow down, then felt strange and oddly at peace with himself has a warm light orange and yellow glow surronded his body and made him feel light.
Kitty sighed and hoovered both hands directly above his burned back. She closed her eyes and began to calm her breathing and slow it down to calmness. The perfect feeling for healing especially a wound this bad, besides it would take alot of energy. She just hoped she had enough energy to do the job and not fall on top of him afterwords because she has used up to much energy.
Veggie tilted her head to the side has her twin was dragged out of the room by the dark haired Kitty.
"Did I miss something?" she asked incredously.
"Kitty is a healer," chirped Kätzchen.
"She is?" asked Veggie.
"Yeah," said Cat. "I am a fighter, Kitty is a healer, Katze is also a fighter, and Kätzchen is a healer like Kitty."
"You are a family of both fighters and healers."
"Yes the fighters do not heal and the healers do not fight."
"Why not?"
Cat sighed, "Well my mother was a healer and when she was pregnant with Katze and Kätzchen father died. One day a few years later my mother came across one of the men responible for murdering my father. She killed him and has a result her abilty to heal was taken from her and she was even more so half alive, half dead since my father's death."
"Your parents were bonded?" asked Veggie softly.
"Yes."
"Where is your mother now?"
Cat bite her lip," My mother is in the hospital."
"From the effects of your father's death and killing one of the men that killed him?"
"Yes," Cat said lieing through her teeth.
Veggie frowned she could tell the other woman was lieing, but she let it slide for now. Suddenly a big white and black Saint Bernard came into the room and lay down at Cat's feet.
"Who is that?" asked Veggie blinking.
"This is my dog Sassquash, but we just call him Sas."
"PUPPY!" shrieked Gogeta hopping off the couch and running the short distance.
Pretty soon Sas found himself being adored by Gogeta, Katze, and Kätzchen.
"He seems to be very calm about that," stated Goshin.
"He is used to it."
"I want to know exactly what your sister is doing to my brother."
"Fine," smiled Cat. "Follow me."
Cat stood up and walked to the sun room with Veggie following close behind. Cat and Veggie stopped at the door and watched has a light orange and yellow glow take over her small form. Slowly the glow seemed to form a connection between the two bodies.
"What is going on?" asked Veggie.
"In order for her to heal him a connection must be made however brief. They will share short and brief memories from eachothers past. But do not worry unless their bond is a different kind. It will not make them mates if that is what worries you."
"Her clothing is changing into some strange armor!"
The girls watched has Kitty's clothing changed into a pair of white spandex pants were silver with white strips on the sides and her boots were gold and she wore a white armor with gold shoulder straps. The gold from her father's home planet which was vritually indistructable.
"Must be from our father's side," said Cat.
Veggie looked at the girl her own age standing besides her then at the younger girl near her brother.
"How old is she?" asked Veggie.
"She is sixteen years of age why do you ask?"
"No reason."
Carrot sighed and saw brief flashes of a very famillar man who looked alot like the Nekoijin King. He believed his name had been King Gato or something like that. How does she know the Nekoijin King? Then he saw the present Queen Chatta and her mate King Chat. She knows the members of the royal Nekoijin house?! Who is this girl and what is her connection to the royal house of Planet Neko? Carrot gasped when he saw a brief image of a woman, the woman reminded him of an old friend of his mother's Lady Taimu. There was some resemblance between them, perhaps it was Kitty's mother. Now that he thought about Kitty had some resemblance to King Gato has well. Could she possiblely be his daughter Nekoijin Human Princesses here on Earth?! Suddenly he saw another man he got a bad vibe from this man. He looked famillar however Carrot could not place him. Then he saw the man reach for him a dark intent in his eyes. But before Carrot could see what he wanted he felt a mental block slam against him.
'The girl keeps her past well concealed,' thought Carrot.
Kitty ignored the flashes that raced before her eyes. She had to conecntrate on healing him not on his memories. She felt her power leave her and flood into the young male healing him. Finally she was finished and her eyes opened slowly. She became aware of the fact that her vision was not focused. She stood up with Carrot shackily but tried her best to hide it from the others.
Veggie watched has her clothing changed back to her normal clothing.
"What is happening?" she asked.
"She just got done healing him," said Cat.
Cat moved quickly knowing that any minute now her little sister would faint onto the ground. But just when Kitty was begining to fall forward it was Carrot who caught her and not Cat. The moment Carrot caught the raven haired young woman he felt his heart skip a beat, feeling her soft skin was almost too much for him. He gentle picked her up into his arms and moved her onto a couch to rest. He turned and saw both his sister and the blonde haired female named Cat staring at him for severally minutes.
Veggie smirked has she watched her brother left the girl into her arms.
'I am going to tell mom this,' she thought michevously. 'I can not believe it Carrot in love with a little healer girl.'
Veggie noticed Carrot looking at her oddly and continued smiling at him. They were all distracted when they heard a startled yelp and Goshin came running into the room with curlers in his hair, makeup on his face, and necklaces around his neck.
"What happened to you?" laughed Cat.
Goshin pointed three grinning girls who were holding various beautifing items in their hands. Then Sas came into the room with a big bright pink bow wrapped around his neck. They all burst out laughing and when Cat finally got under control she took Goshin by the hand and lead him up the stairs into their bathroom to help him wash it off. The girls in tow wanting to "beautify" someone else now.
Carrot and Veggie watched them go and then looked at eachother before turning their attention to Kitty.
"Is she the girl?" asked Veggie.
"What do you mean?" asked the surprised Carrot.
"Come off of it Car-chan you know exactly what I mean," smirked Veggie.
"She might be and stop calling me Car-chan we are not kids anymore you know!"
"So what is your point?"
Carrot growled in frustration has his twin just laughed.
"So what are you going to do about it?" asked Veggie seriously after awhile.
"I have no idea but we will see has time passes."
"Indeed."
"See what has time passes?" asked Gogeta.
She had come down with Katze and Kätzchen after Cat had ordered them down stairs and not to cause anymore trobule.
"We will explain later," said Veggie softly.
"Okay."
Just then Cat came down with Goshin who's hair and face were soaking wet though the makeup had been removed.
"Well," said Cat. "Its time for dinner would you guys like to stay?"
"No," said Veggie. "We need to be heading home we have some more stuff to do at the house."
"Alright well then I will see you later."
"Right."
Then Cat lead them to the door and saw them off.
'I do not trust them that much,' thought Cat closing the door.
"What are we going to do for dinner?" asked Katze at her back.
"Wanna order pizza?" asked Cat smiling down at the younger girl.
"YEAH!"
"Okay go get the phone and lets order something."
"Okay."
Cat sighed has she watched her younger sister move to get the phone and phone book. She had seen the look in the dark haired males eyes when he had lifted her sister into his arms. It had been hard to miss now that she thought about it.
"If you hurt my sister," she growled under her breathe. "Mark my words I will kill you regardless of who your parents are."
But then she remebered their step father and how he always hurt them. Also how he always hurt Kitty. They had tried to escape severally times and all time had failed. Ibehusark was too strong and just too clever for them to fight back. Besides last time she had tried she had been locked in the rat infested cellar and Katze and Kätzchen had been given nothing but table scraps the entire time she was locked down there. Kitty never told her what she had been given has a "reward", and frankily Cat just assumed she not know the details. Though she had a feeling that she knew what had happened.
Ibehusark the bastard ever since Kitty had turned fourteen he had a dark appetite for her. It disturbed them all and they couldn't fight him for fear of him killing their mother Taimu. They were trapped and Cat hated being trapped. She looked down at her wrists and not for the first time noticed the details on the golden arm bands on them. They were both a mixture of Nekoijin pride and of Demi Immortal hertiage. A gift to her and her sisters from their Nekoijin aunts. Thinking of the Nekoijins brought another name and face to mind. Someone who was noble, strong, and true someone who their mother had always told her girls when they were younger were some of the aspects they should look for in a man. All the girls agreed with her, to mate someone like thier father would be a privilage and a honor.
Cat felt the tears come to her eyes at the thought of him. For one of the few times in her life she allowed the tears to come to eyes and fall down.
"Father," she whispered softly shaking her head. "What do I do? What do I do?"
