Chapter 5: Death of Sharpner
His dark eyes constantly stalked her. They were the eyes of a vicious hungry wolf. She didn't know any other way to describe them. Videl, only at the age of fourteen, watched him move slowly across the cafeteria. She shrunk visibly beside her new friend Erasa, a blonde bimbo with a brain smaller than that of a rat's. The woman ignored her quick movement, chatting away with a muscular brute that looked like a drowned rat - a perfect match in Videl's eyes, but she could easily tell that he was lusting for her.
Gohan landed beside Sharpner, sliding into the seat with a grace and speed that was impossible to detect. Sharpner jumped with a girlish squeal, falling onto his face on the floor. Gohan stared at the boy for a moment with a grin on his face before his gaze turned to Videl, who only shrunk more beneath that hungry glow.
"You shouldn't slant like that," Gohan said, shaking his head. He leaned forward over the table, shoving Sharpner's lunch to the floor. The tray landed on top of the boy, who still sat on the floor, glaring at Gohan. Milk and gooey unidentifiable lunch food splattered over the boy's clothing. Videl gasped, jumping to her feet. Erasa rushed to his side, helping him stand with a pile of napkins in her hand. At that time, the drowned-rat-looking teenager muttered a violent streak of curses, but when Videl turned to see his reaction she realized that Gohan's eyes were still firmly on her, as if she and he were in their own little realm. She stared at him, shocked and horrified. "You bastard…" she exclaimed before gasping and placing her hand over her lips, searching to see if anyone had heard her momentary loss of control. Erasa and Sharpner had already left the cafeteria, and the teachers sat across the cafeteria. The few students that may have overheard didn't care. She spun back to him, even more enraged, but cried out as she realized Gohan was standing beside her. Videl jumped with her shock and tried to shove him back, but Gohan was like a brick wall! "How can you be so cruel to him?"
"To whom?" Gohan responded with confusion.
"Sharpner!" she exclaimed, pointing towards the door that the two had left through. Gohan didn't follow her motion, but only continued to look at her. Videl stepped back, her arm falling down to her side as she nervously looked into his eyes. Only confusion still rested in his features. After a moment he shrugged off his jacket and returned to his seat, walking slowly now, as if he knew she was being pushed to her mental-tolerance limits. Videl remained standing. Her brief training to become a warrior was quickly telling her not to get to close to her enemy and keep a possible exit nearby. From where she stood, if she needed to flee she could dart either to the normally used door where Sharpner and Erasa had exited or rush through the kitchen and out through the back into the alley.
"Videl, I wanted to ask you if you'd like to accompany me this afternoon to Capsule Corporations," Gohan said with a smile, resting his head in his palm. Videl blinked. What had just happened here? Gohan had went from the bad ass that was scaring her into a state where she could tremble and now here he sat like an average sixteen-year-old talking to a younger girl. Slowly she moved forward towards the empty seat across from him. Maybe he just really hated Sharpener. That was a possibility, and would explain the evil tendencies towards the blonde teenager. Sharpner didn't really seem to be that friendly. Accepting that as the reason, she sank down into the chair, but still her instincts refused to allow her to sit up close to the table. She remained back where she had enough distance to dart out of the chair easily. Her curiosity was overwhelming her though. "Capsule Corporations?" Who didn't know about Capsule Corporations? It was the center of the city! "You are a friend of the Briefs?"
"Yes, my entire life," Gohan responded with a smile. "Bulma Briefs and my father met as children, and my brother is her son's best friend. I train after school with her husband in martial arts." He smiled as he saw her grin triple in size and she slowly seemed to relax, leaning up towards the table. Apparently, the young girl didn't recall the faithful afternoon nearly six years ago when she and he had met in the streets. 'Tousan is teaching me to be a senshi just like him. I'm going to be as powerful as him someday, and then I can fight and save Chikyuu!' He could still her here cheerful voice shrieking in his ears. He titled his head innocently with a bright smile. "Are you into martial arts?"
"Are you kidding?" she exclaimed, moving her chair closer to the table. Gohan grinned, lifting his head from his hand and leaning into the table. They were only inches apart. She ducked her head in a quiet whisper, as if they were sharing some intimate secret. He could smell her breath - toothpaste and bubblegum. His longing to reach out and grab the back of her head, pulling her close and kissing her lips was almost undeniable, but somehow he refrained himself. "I've been into martial arts since I was a kid! I mean, seriously, with my father, how could I not?"
Gohan nodded with a smile. How hilarious would it be for Satan-san to realize that the boy he'd entrusted his daughter with was the same boy that had threatened his life and had broken his finger years ago? Gohan couldn't help the smile that tainted his lips. "That's wonderful Videl. Would you care to join me, then?"
"Sure, Gohan! That'd be great!" Videl exclaimed cheerfully with a bright smile, sitting back. She watched as Gohan returned the look and stood, pulling his leather jacket back over his bare chest. "I'll meet you outside the gates, is that okay?" he questioned her. Videl nodded in response and watched as he gave her a charming smile and turned, leaving the cafeteria. She sighed softly, watching his graceful stride.
Gohan turned, following the disgusting scent of Sharpner and Erasa, as he thought about Videl. He wasn't sure why Vejita had obtained the sudden interest in the girl. Sure, Videl was somewhat pretty and would be an interesting toy, but he believed that Vejita's reason lay more within Satan-san that his daughter. Still, Gohan didn't much like her. She was too wimpy. He'd watched her little confrontation. Each moment she had made sure she could flee. She was jumpy, and she'd trusted him to easily. He'd just embarrassed and made a fool out of one of her friends mere moments before she was leaning near him with a smile on her face, telling him how much she enjoyed martial arts.
Shaking off the thoughts, Gohan paused as he reached a corner of the building and paused when he saw Erasa standing against the boy's bathroom door. The blonde haired female paused with an angered human-growl and stepped forward with her finger outstretched. Gohan grinned at his urge to grab it and break it as he had done with Satan-san, but refrained. His self-control was beyond belief. "Where's Sharpner?" he questioned before she began scolding him in a very Chichi-like manner. Erasa paused. "Are you going to apologize for what you did, Gohan?" she demanded.
Gohan offered her a small Son smile and she fell beneath his trap. "Okay, but I'm going to warn you he might yell at you. Sharpner has a temper, you know, so just let him yell and then apologize and he'll feel like a fool, okay?" At his nod, Erasa turned and rushed off to the cafeteria. Gohan stepped towards the door and shoved it open to see a bare-chested blonde standing against the sink, ringing out his damp and stained white muscle shirt. Gohan stepped behind him and enjoyed watching the few moments it took for Sharpner to see him, shriek, spin, and start cursing. After about four curses Gohan decided his fun had gotten boring. He grabbed the boy's neck and shoved him down over the counter, causing the boy's back to arch in a most unpleasant and painful manner. Sharpner screamed out as Gohan leaned over him, their more private areas rubbing together.
Leaning over the man, Gohan allowed his lips to brush against Sharpner's. The sexual tension that had arisen between him and Vejita was still vivid in Gohan's mind and body, and he had few qualms about satisfying his needs through the rat that stood before him, though his own desires wouldn't allow him to. He wanted to lose his virginity to someone more special than a quick fuck and kill. Sighing in frustration, Gohan jumped back and shoved Sharpner to the ground. The blonde landed with a thud, skidding back a few paces, the shirt on the floor, forgotten. Gohan smirked, folding his arms over his chest. "What's wrong, Sharpner? Don't tell me you don't find me attractive! Surely you don't want to hurt my feelings."
The blonde proceeded to curse and insult him with a few words that even Gohan was unfamiliar with. He frowned at the extending vocabulary and raised his hand towards Sharpner. "Sorry, buddy. I thought you and I could maybe have a little fun, but I see it's not going to happen."
When the smoke finally cleared, there was nothing but ashes floating down the scorched tiles of the wall and floor.
