Chapter 11
Radditz POV
I couldn't stop staring at her. My new mate. Those three words made my entire body warm and I could feel my soul for the first time.
She had slipped her clothing back on and was straightening it. She left her hair unbound because I liked it that way. Her face held more color thanks to the strenuousness of our love making, though her delicate wings showed no sign of being ruffled.
She must have felt me staring because she lifted her head to look at me with those enchanting green eyes. She smiled up at me and wordlessly pulled my down for another kiss. Gods I love the way she's kisses. So passionate yet so pliable. I reached up to hold her cheek, when I heard a loud gasp.
“Patrice! What are you doing?”
Patrice abruptly pulled away and turned her head to the sound of the voice that interrupted us.
Estella POV
I couldn't believe my eyes! Patrice was making out with one of father's soldiers! She had always been the straight laced one! I stared in disbelief for a moment and when she heard my previous cry she turned to stare at me. “Oh Estella thank goodness you're alright. I was so worried…”
“You don't look too worried right now sis!” I shouted. Just then Kakarott and the annoying Namek had arrived. Kakarott landed right beside me and I could see his goofy smirk. I had to admit the scene before us was rather silly.
“Hello brother. I see you have a new mate as well.” Kakarott said.
I was instantly confused. Brother?
Patrice looked as confused as me. She looked back at her lover and whispered. “He's your brother?”
The soldier nodded. “He's my little brother. He barely escaped when your father destroyed our planet and has been here on Namek ever since, I just discovered him myself.”
Patrice looked shocked. “You mean he actually destroyed your people?” She mumbled.
The soldier nodded solemnly. Patrice's face fell and she looked shaky. She reached out to him and he held her close as she chanted. “I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't know.” The soldier shushed her and patted her back caringly. He helped her up and kissed her when she was firmly on her feet.
Patrice seemed to calm down and she turned to face us. She walked calmly up to Kakarott and held out her hand. “Pleased to meet you.”
Kakarott took her hand and shook it before wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
Patrice's eye bore into mine silently asking for an explanation. I sighed preparing for her shock. “Patrice this is my mate Kakarott.”
I said putting a hand on his chest and smiling.
Patrice's eyes widened slightly, but then her soldier put his large hand on her shoulder and she relaxed. She put her hand over his and smiled. “And this is my mate Radditz. Radditz this is my little sister Estella.”
I turned to Kakarott and gave him a quizzical look. “So he's your brother?”
“Yes my older brother.”
I was thinking about how ironic it all was when I saw something flying towards us out of the corner of my eye. I looked up to see another one of father's soldiers, I only knew because of the armor. He was carrying Kali.
My rational mind immediately clicked the answer into place immediately, but my sentimental ideals about Kali refused to believe it. `Yes I'm with him.' I heard her say telepathically.
I hate it when she reads my mind. “So I'm guessing you have a mate now too?” I asked staring incredulously at her.
“Yes.” She said simply.
“Show some respect to your soon to be Queen!” Her mate snapped.
Radditz and Kakarott bowed their head respectfully and Patrice and I looked from each other to Kali confused. “Sisters meet my mate, Prince Vegeta of the saiyans.”
“You mated a saiyan too!” I shouted in surprise. This was an amazing coincidence.
I heard laughter and we all turned to see the Namek laughing heartily. “Go figure. The last three saiyans in the universe and the daughters of their most hated enemy Frieza. Now that is amazing!”
We all frowned at him, but I slowly saw smiles appear on the faces of Patrice and Radditz. “He's right. It is pretty funny.” Patrice said chuckling.
Radditz joined her laughter, but the Prince cleared his throat and all commotion stopped to look at him. “We need to find the dragon balls.” He said seriously with a straight face.
I was tempted to ask why, but something about the Prince told me he wouldn't tolerate stupid questions.
I pulled myself tighter into Kakarott's arms and waited for someone else to bite the bullet.
Kali for the first time in her life took the initiative. “We want to wish Vegeta-sei back.” She said calmly.
I felt Kakarott's grip tighten on me. I could feel his excitement. I turned to look up at him. “You could finally be with your people!” I said excited for him. I also felt a bit of worry well up inside me. Worry that he would leave me for a saiyan woman.
My worries slowly evaporated when he smiled at me and said. “Yeah, but I think I want to see the Universe first. What do you say you and me travel the universe together?”
I nodded enthusiastically.
“First you must teach me how to become a super saiyan.” The Prince snapped. Kakarott's face turned serious as he looked up at the Prince. He nodded. “I'll do it. For you and my brother.”
Third Person POV
And so it was. They stayed on Namek for the next two months. Kakarott and Piccolo taught Radditz and Vegeta to become super saiyans. They were quick to learn especially with their mates to give them new cause to reach legendary, they had someone to protect.
While they trained the girls went to the Namekians asking for the dragon balls. Some how they managed to persuade the Namekians to give them the dragon balls. They convinced them that the saiyans were responsible for Frieza's destruction at they deserved to get their lives back and they gave Namek a purge proof guarantee.
They wished Vegeta-sei and all its inhabitants back, and then they wished for all Frieza's loyalties to be absolved making the saiyans the number one strongest race in the universe. For their third and last wish they wished that no one would ever find out that the girls were Frieza's daughters all who knew them would forget accept their mates. It would be easier for everyone that way and the girls did not want their father's horrid legacy to carry over to them.
After the wishes were made Radditz, Patrice, Vegeta, and Kali returned to Vegeta-sei. Kakarott and Estella went on a trip to explore the universe, but returned to Vegeta-sei after about two years. Piccolo also had the chance to leave Namek. He never really fit in and he was a warrior not a guardian so he too went to Vegeta-sei and was given special commission to be a trainer at the elite academy because of his help in training Kakarott to be a super saiyan. Radditz and Kakarott were also given high ranking positions by Vegeta in gratitude for their loyalty and defeat of Frieza. Radditz became head of the royal guard and Kakarott was the head general of the saiyan army.
Five years later…..Setting: Large house outside the capital of Vegeta-sei
“Mommy! Taro's poking me!” A little blond haired girl with chocolate brown eyes squealed.
A little boy with long spiky black hair pulled his arms away from her and crossed them angrily. “Did not!”
Patrice walked in and sighed as she switched the baby girl in her arms from one hip to the other. Arguments like this were an every day occurrence, but she would never mind. It was a better life then she had ever dreamed of. She had four beautiful children and a wonderful husband and she was thankful for it all. “Taro why do you insist on bothering Carmina?”
“It's not my fault she's a whimp.” He grumbled. Radditz walked in at that moment and his saiyan hearing picked up his son's grumbling.
“Hey there'll be no name calling in this house Taro.” He said.
“Daddy!” Carmina shouted happily running on her tiny little legs to her father. He scooped her up off the floor and she squeezed his neck nuzzling his cheek.
Taro ran up to his father's legs and stared up excitedly. “Are the new guard trainees' strong dad?”
“Not as strong as us son.” Radditz said proudly.
Patrice smiled at her mate and sauntered up to him leaning up for a kiss. He kissed her and grinned. “Hey honey. Tonight's family dinner night at the palace.”
“Oh good. Do you hear that Taro? You can play with Geta.” Patrice said.
“Yes!” The three year old boy jumped up excitedly. Geta was his only boy cousin and was always ready to train with him.
Patrice laughed at her sun's outburst and Radditz held out a hand for Patrice to give him Shanti their youngest. She was only a year old and had her mother's hair and eyes. “Can you handle them while I go find Atiya?” Patrice asked.
Shanti's tail curled around her father's wrist and Carmina still clung to his neck. Patrice had to smile at the picture they made. A big saiyan warrior holding two tiny little girls.
“Of course.” He said.
Patrice smirked and went off to find their oldest Atiya. “Atiya! Atiya!” Patrice found her right where she had left her. In the enclosed garden of their home dancing among the flowers. One of the house helpers was watching her from a distance while she swept.
Patrice smiled at her. Atiya was four years old and had her chestnut hair color, but it was spiky like her father's, and her eyes were just like hers. Patrice clapped her hands and Atiya spun around to look at her. “Come on sweet ling we are going to the palace for dinner.”
Atiya gave a small smile and ran to grab her mother's hand. Atiya was by far the quietest of her children. She was a little shy, but very bright. Much like her grandfather, Bardock, who was a scientist as well as a warrior.
Radditz and Patrice took their brood to the palace and since Radditz was captain of the guard and Patrice, sister to the Queen, no one questioned their arrival.
They went straight to the royals' private lounge. The door opened to reveal Kali standing by a chair where Vegeta sat with their one year old daughter Zuri on his lap. She had straight hair like her mother, but it was black like her father's and she had her mother's pointed ears.
She was the apple of her father's eye. Having children had softened Vegeta. His son and daughter meant the world to him and Kali was the love of his life. He had become accustomed to public displays of affection because when he was with her he couldn't help, but touch her and hold her. She made him forget all the pain and humiliation he suffered under Frieza. She was like a hypnotic soothing perfume that gave him peace of mind.
Kali had grown into quite a queen, she was braver and bolder than ever before. She and Vegeta changed and complimented each other perfectly and Vegeta-sei flourished under their rule.
Across from them sat the former King Vegeta with his grandson on his lap listening intently to the King's voice as he told him a story. Little Vegeta or Geta as he was more fondly known. He had his father's flame mane, but with blonde streaks instead of brown ones.
“Geta!” Taro shouted excitedly running into the room.
Geta heard him and jumped out of his grandfather's arms to run to his friend. They ran straight into each other fell onto the floor laughing. The elder King chuckled at their behavior. Kali went to Patrice and hugged her sister.
“Hey sis, how's everything?” Kali said with a smile.
“Good. Taro couldn't wait to come play with Geta. He's been a handful all day.” Patrice said.
“Boys, aren't they all a handful?” Kali said.
“Eh hem. Big and little.” Patrice said eyeing Radditz who was talking to Vegeta while Zuri and Shanti giggled on the floor at their feet.
“I heard that.” He said playfully turning to smirk at her.
Patrice and Kali laughed and the door opened again. Kakarott walked in carrying a little curly black haired girl with tiny red horns on his shoulder, while pleading with his mate who was holding her hand up to silence him. She was round with child and not in the mood to hear his excuses. They were followed by a very bewildered looked
“Kakarott I don't want to argue about this!” Estella said.
Kakarott's mouth hung open like a fish out of water. “But…but you started it!”
Radditz laughed. “Little brother, pregnant women will argue about nothing and its best just to let them win.”
“Yeah Kakarott, even Kali was ready to fight when she was pregnant.” Vegeta commented. Kali walked up and put her arm around Vegeta's waist and smiled.
“Well you carry a half saiyan baby for nine months and then see how you feel?”
Kakarott shook his head in confusion.
“Talulla!” Carmina cried excitedly.
“Here you go babe.” Kakarott set Talulla down and the two year olds chattered and giggled excitedly to each other.
“How do you feel sis?” Patrice asked Estella who was sitting in a chair the senior king had given up for her.
“Huge and tired. These twins are really taking it out of me.” Estella said patting her stomach.
“I'm going be a big sister!” Talulla said excitedly.
Kakarott smiled and kneeled down to her. “That's right.”
Estella smiled at her mate and daughter. Their relationship had started on physical attractions and they argued constantly, but she had come to truly love him while they traveled the universe. He was incorrigible, but she loved that about him. He treated her like a goddess and he was a wonderful father. Talulla had him wrapped around her little finger. When she had first met him she never would have seen the gentle giant that he was with Talulla.
Bardock kneeled down to Atiya who was still clinging shyly to her mother's leg. “Hello my darling.” He said smiling at his oldest grandchild. A smile spread across Atiya's face. She was very fond of her grandfather. “Come here.” He said reaching out and picking her up. “What did you do today?”
“I went dancing in the garden, Taro and Mina were being noisy.” Atiya answered.
Bardock laughed. “Aren't they always?” Atiya nodded vigorously.
Patrice, Kali, and Estella counted their blessings for having met these three amazing saiyan men. They had turned their lives upside down and shaken every belief they ever had, but they loved them for it. They had brought them out of the darkness and lies their father had woven them into relieved them of every burden they ever felt and gave them charmed lives and beautiful children who would never have to know the hardship their grandfather caused or that their father's went through. Frieza would never accept saiyan grandchildren, but then he could never understand the happiness these three saiyans brought to his daughter's lives.
