Amanda stiffened as she felt a warm hand place itself gently on her shoulder. She gritted her teeth and hissed in a threatening tone, "I told you Victor, we are over."

"Good." Came the deep jealousy tinged growl from behind her, making Amanda twist her head around to see - Radditz. Her face broke into a relieved smile at the sight of his handsome face and she relaxed. "Why didn't you respond to my calls?" He continued, now visibly puzzled by her silence.

Amanda placed one of her hands over the one Radditz had placed on her shoulder and squeezed it reassuringly. "I heard you Radditz, but I needed some time alone. The situation with Victor and myself has become untenable. I have the strongest feeling that he is going to do something very bad."

Radditz moved around and sat next to her, pulling her body in closed and tangling his large fingers through her blonde mane of hair. "I could kill him if you wish." He whispered, trying hard to disguise the fact that he would enjoy the act of killing someone was appeared to be such a monumental prick. Amanda melted against Radditz's muscled chest and for the briefest of moments considered the idea, but then squashed it. Killing Victor was not the solution to the problem, although the thought of having a man who would kill for you was terribly romantic. "No, Radditz. As attractive as the idea is at the moment, I would only regret it later. I just want to get on with my life, with you." She softly replied, tracing her fingers across Radditz's face and gazing into his deep brown eyes.

Despite her best efforts at controlling her baser urges, Amanda had missed Radditz from the moment that she had left for work that morning. Whatever drug he exuded from his very being was intoxicating her so much it was hard to think straight. In a way Amanda was pleased that she had been all but ordered to take time off from work. Now she would have ample time to learn more about her new lover and in turn, teach him about her culture. Amanda gently grasped Radditz's free hand was about to kiss each finger, but Radditz cupped her face and brought her mouth to his, softly sucking on her lips, moving his other hand over the mark he had placed on her slender neck, setting her on fire. As Amanda reached out and coiled her arms around Radditz's neck, he flinched as if a mild electrical current had run through his body and withdrew, a very small smile on his face. The legendary has arisen…….

Amanda stared at him, puzzled at his supposed rejection and the phrase that Radditz had uttered in his head. "What's wrong?" She asked softly, slightly breathless from the kiss. "What have I done?"

Radditz silenced Amanda's words by placing his fingers firmly over her mouth. "Shhhhh. It has happened finally." He replied cryptically. On seeing her hurt look, Radditz continued, "It's not you. The great event my people have been waiting for years for has finally happened." He rose from the wooden seat and extended a hand out to Amanda, "I will have to explain later. Do you have to return to your duties?"

Amanda placed her hand in his and rose also, this time smiling. "No I don't. I have been granted 7 days free of duties." She tipped her head coquettishly at her tall mate. "So we have plenty of time to," Amanda paused for effect before carrying on, "discover more about each other."

Radditz smirked in the way all Saiyan did when they were about to receive or do something particularly pleasurable. "So we do….." He drawled and would have slung her over his shoulder and taken her inside the sanctum of the house to erotically torture her, forgetting the real reason he was there, had it not been for the untimely arrival of his brother.

"Radditz?" Goku spoke, his face pale and clad in a wary expression, his eyes trained on his older brother in askance. The jolt of powerful energy had shaken his body and instinctively Goku had known then and there that Vegeta had ascended, but still he needed to ask his brother, barely believing what his own sharp senses had told him. "Has he, has Vegeta?"

"Yes brother. The legendary has arisen again, after 1000 years." Radditz replied simply, watching the growing wonderment rise in his brother's face at the revelation. "Don't worry little brother. Your time will come soon." Radditz turned his face to the sky and continued, a smile of relief on his face. "I think that the danger has passed for Bulma."

"I feel that too. Kami will let us know for certain though." Goku then turned his attention to the gorgeous woman in Radditz's arms. Not wanting to appear rude, he extended his arm in greeting to Amanda to introduce himself. "Hi, I'm Goku, Radditz's brother. And you are?"

Amanda felt the tension from Goku's arrival in the garden fade away and smiled back warmly, extending her own hand. She had seen Goku around Capsule Corporation many times, usually accompanied by a gaggle men who looked like martial artists. He didn't look much like Radditz except for the crazy black hair. "Amanda."

"Pleased to meet you." Goku said as he gently shook her hand. "Radditz and I were about to leave for my home in the mountains so that he can meet my family. Will you be coming as well?"

Amanda looked up at Radditz. "I have a week off, so why not?"

"You were coming either way, woman." He grunted back at her, not willing to submit himself to another public display of affection for his life mate, especially as he and Amanda had after all almost been caught en flagrante by Goku before.

"Follow me then." Goku spoke, interrupting the two lovers, before a possible argument arose. He rose into the air and started towards his temporary home on Mt Paozu, his eyes bright with anticipation. Now that Vegeta had achieved what had seemed almost impossible, he too could reach the same dizzying heights. Once he had done that, it would then be time to talk strategy with the other Z warriors and rid the universe of the evil of Freeza, forever.

Their lives and those of their loved ones depended on it.

Kami had felt the surge in raw power coming from Vegeta and his eyes had fluttered open, releasing himself from his meditation. The energy level was so very high that Kami could have sworn that the very foundations of his palace were shaking. Added to that fact, Kami sensed that Bulma had awoken from her involuntary coma. He allowed the briefest glimmer of a smile to pass his lips in triumph. Although he himself had not been completely responsible for Bulma's serious condition, it warmed his old heart that she had in fact been able to recover from an injury that could have left her in a vegative state for life. Only by her tenacity and Vegeta's had she been able to pull through.

Rising from his cross-legged position with aid from Mr Popo and his ever-present cane, Kami strode tentatively towards the room that he had left Vegeta and Bulma in, unsure of his reception from the proud and feisty lovers. The Saiyans had their first Super Saiyan in 1000 years; it was just a shame that only two others had survived the attack from Freeza twenty years ago. As Kami walked stiffly, getting closer to the room, he tried and failed to repress a grin. He had been right all along about the brilliant and resourceful Bulma Briefs. She was undoubtedly the key, proving her abilities and his own as well with Vegeta's achievement. Finally having reached the room, Kami swallowed nervously, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down in his scrawny wrinkled throat as he pushed open the door to reveal the prone forms of Vegeta and Bulma, their bodies curled around one another possessively, Vegeta's tail coiled loosely around Bulma's trim waist, their breathing deep and regular, signalling to Kami that all was well.

Strangely, Vegeta had not returned to his normal dark haired state, in fact he was still partially in the Super Saiyan state, his hair golden blonde, but without the normal flames of energy emanating from his body, and Kami deduced that this was because with the amount of power this Saiyan now harboured he could now reduce the whole lookout to rubble without a second thought. As with Bulma, Kami saw Vegeta no longer as the dark and saturnine prince, but as some kind of golden demi god, power oozing from every pore. Kami was thankful that Vegeta was on the Earth's side, and not still under the control of Freeza.

He stifled a gasp as an eye opened and fixed its turquoise glare at him, making him step backwards clumsily into the doorframe in his haste to leave. Kami watched mutely as Vegeta disentangled himself from Bulma and walked towards him and inside he quivered, dreading what Vegeta may have had planned for him.

"Don't worry old man, I'm not going to kill you - well, not here and not now anyway." Vegeta spoke to Kami as if the two were having a friendly conversation, further alarming the aged deity. "As you can see, I have now fulfilled part of my destiny." Vegeta looked back at the resting Bulma and an expression of affection fleetingly passed over his tense features as he abruptly returned to his normal dark haired and dark eyed state. "You should have told me what you had planned, then I may not have almost lost her, fool."

Kami responded quickly to the barb at the secrecy surrounding Bulma's training. "Prince Vegeta, you are a proud warrior and would not have accepted Bulma's assistance willingly. That is why there was the need to suppress so much information." Kami looked Vegeta squarely in the eyes, still clearly amazed at his transformation. "You will be the Earth's greatest weapon against Freeza."

Vegeta snorted derisively at the compliment. "I don't care about this planet or it's people." He snapped at Kami. "I do this for myself, my long dead people and," Vegeta paused and gazed back at Bulma, now stirring from her short nap, aware that he was no longer curled up beside her." For her."

"Vegeta?" Bulma whispered as she heard his deep voice; her eyes still closed as she blindly put out a hand to find him.

"We will leave soon. I am confident that Kakkarot and the others would have sensed the transformation." Vegeta growled to Kami, his eyes flashing in anger as his voice quickly lowered so that Bulma would not hear what he was about to say. "Should Bulma wish to speak with you about her training, then I will allow it. If Bulma is put in a dangerous situation again due to your stupidity, I will send you directly to the next dimension and reduce this worthless planet to rubble."

"As you wish, Prince Vegeta." Kami replied tersely as he exited, keeping an eye on the irate Prince. Vegeta had not changed a great deal, even with the release of his negative emotions and overcoming his fears. But he had displayed his affection for Bulma quite openly during their brief exchange of words. Vegeta would never be like Goku, childlike and carefree with his feelings, as the two Saiyans had such different upbringings, one cared for by a kindly old man who taught how to love and try to preserve life, the other given over as a hostage to a master of mental and physical torture whose only teachings were to hate and kill. Kami decided that he would have to catch up with Bulma at some later stage, away from Vegeta. Still, his heart felt a great deal lighter than it had when it had first been discovered that Freeza was coming.

Now the Earth had one more saviour, albeit a reluctant one who cared only for one of its natives and that was in Kami's mind, more than enough.

Chi Chi almost dropped the bowl that she had been holding as Piccolo all but burst into her father's home, looking for her absent husband, Goku.

"Where is he?" Piccolo yelled, further startling the highly-strung woman. Regaining her composure and placing the bowl on the table, already crowded with food, Chi Chi glared at the normally unflappable green demon in her kitchen and replied icily, "He's not here."

"What!? He should have gotten here by now!" Piccolo boomed at Chi Chi in his deep voice.

She let out a sigh of exasperation at his tone. "Be quiet! Gohan is sleeping and I don't want him disturbed." Chi Chi lowered her own voice and asked, "What's the problem?"

"Nothing that you can help with." Piccolo replied gruffly, he disliked Chi Chi as much as she disliked him. Also he did not hide the fact that he felt that Gohan's talents were being wasted and had voiced his opinion on more than one occasion. This time though, he kept his mouth shut as he did not relish having a shouting match with Goku's feisty wife. The first time he had turned up at their normal abode in the woods she had attacked him with her bare fists and quite frankly he thought she was an ill-mannered violent bitch. "I'll wait outside." He strode out, his cape flapping behind him as he looked for a suitable spot to meditate and wait for Goku and Radditz to arrive.

Chi Chi watched him leave with narrowed eyes before returning to the job at hand, making a late breakfast for her father and son's huge appetites, then on a second thought increased the amount in case Goku was coming home although Chi Chi strongly suspected that Piccolo was only their to plague her and distract her son and enrage her, like the demon she still believed he was.

Gohan had heard the raised voices in the kitchen and was sorely tempted to run out and see Piccolo, as it had been a while since the surly Namek had come by. He knew better than to further annoy his mother and knew how she felt about Piccolo despite the best attempts of Goku and himself to convince her to the contrary. With a small sigh Gohan rose from his bed and looked out the window to look for Piccolo, as he knew by past experience that he would always wait outside for his father to arrive home.

An hour passed, the Ox King had returned from his early morning fishing session by a near by river, and Gohan had been ordered from his room and was now washed and helping his mother set the table. To Chi Chi's great annoyance, Piccolo was still around and did not seem to be making any effort to leave. Gohan heard the soft landing of his father first and, throwing caution to the wind, dropped the cutlery and raced outside to greet his father.

"Daddy!" He cried, barrelling almost headfirst into Goku's stomach in his haste to see him.

"Gohan, been good for your mother?" Goku replied cheerfully as he looked around for his wife. Inwardly he let out a sigh of relief that she had not attacked Piccolo, who was now roused from his meditation and was walking towards him. "Yes Daddy, I have. Mr Piccolo has been waiting for ages for you." Gohan said in his usual happy tone. "I still don't think that mom likes him very much." He whispered loudly in a conspiratal tone as he continued to hug his father.

"Well that's true." Chi Chi spat having heard her small son's comment as she had exited the kitchen, and threw her most evil look at Piccolo. Her harsh tone became gentle as she fixed her gaze lovingly on her husband. "But it's good to have you home, if only for a short time Goku." The two people standing apart from Goku then caught her attention and she raised a quizzical eyebrow as she asked bluntly, "Who are they?"

Goku gulped a little nervously and scratched the back of his head out of habit. With a hasty gesture, he beckoned Radditz and Amanda closer so that he could make the introductions. "This," and he pointed at Radditz, "is my brother, Radditz. The lady with him is his…….wife, Amanda. My wife, Chi Chi, my son Gohan and my father in law, the Ox King."

While Radditz bowed in front of Chi Chi respectfully with all the flourish of a courtier, Amanda nervously extended a hand to all of the members of Goku's family, feeling very much overwhelmed by the warmth of their greetings. "Will you be staying long?" Chi Chi asked, ever the hostess.

"Probably just for a couple of days Chi," Goku answered, "Until Bulma is feeling a little better."

"Great!" Chi Chi replied with sincerity, as it had been a long time since she had had any contact with anyone apart from her immediate family and sorely missed female company. "What's wrong with Bulma?" She asked with concern.

Goku cast a loving gaze at his pretty dark haired wife and knew how lucky he truly was and hoped that he would get some 'quality' time alone with her. "I'll explain everything inside, Chi. Smells like you have been busy with the cooking again, enough for everyone do you think?"

"Of course." Chi Chi said with a wry smile, and ushered everyone, including Piccolo because as she knew, he would probably be the most sensible person to get the full story from even if he was still in her eyes at least, evil. It wasn't even 11am and already it was shaping up to be an interesting day for Chi Chi Son.

"Vegeta?" Bulma whispered drowsily, still a little disorientated from her ordeal.

"Shhhh. I'm here." Vegeta responded quietly, brushing her hair from her temples and curling his muscular body spoon fashion behind her. "You have a lot of explaining to do woman." He continued somewhat gruffly.

"What explaining?" Bulma replied as innocently as she could, trying to distract Vegeta by wriggling into his warmth and pulling his free hand to rest on her waist.

Vegeta didn't answer for a few seconds, instead just pulled her firmly against his chest, possibly to reassure himself that she was now flesh and blood and not some phantom sent to plague him and send his mind into insanity. "For such a supposedly intelligent woman, you were very stupid, attempting something like that."

"It was a mistake Vegeta, I never intended for that to happen." Bulma whispered, ashamed of her secret. "But, it did help you."

"Maybe." Vegeta sniffed proudly, not willing to give her any credit. "Do you remember what happened after you woke?"

Bulma shook her head in reply and furrowed her fine brows in concentration. "Not much. I remember looking at you, then in the next second you were shining like gold." Bulma's eyes lit up for a moment as she recalled the moment, the wonderment and pride in Vegeta's eyes as he realised his true potential, that of the Legendary.

"Really?" Vegeta grunted in surprise. The moment Bulma's ki had manifested itself as a dark dragon had truly been a once in a lifetime experience, but Vegeta decided that he would show her the memory later. It was obvious that some of her memory had been blotted out temporarily, but no damage had been done and he was in his own way relieved. "You didn't have that many brain cells in the first place as far as I can see, woman." He jibed.

"Beast." She hissed back at Vegeta irritably, her head still mildly throbbing. Bulma wrinkled her nose in distaste as she smelt the very uninviting aroma of her own stale sweat. "Ugh, I feel terrible and smell even worse." She moaned, half to herself.

"That you do, woman," rumbled Vegeta, but he moved closer anyway. "You're a mess and should get cleaned up. In this state you are not fit to be in my presence." He finished arrogantly as he pushed Bulma unceremoniously from the bed onto her feet. "Clean up first, then we are leaving as I have wasted much time with your folly."

Bulma bowed mockingly at Vegeta as she somewhat unsteadily stood on her feet and retorted, "Would you like to join me, your Highness as you are smelling a little ripe yourself?"

Vegeta just glared in response, so Bulma shrugged her shoulders and left the room in search of her temporary quarters in the palace, eager to get clean again. As she walked slowly, Bulma felt a little troubled by the holes in her recent memory and silently prayed that she would regain everything soon. She was after all nothing without her formidable brain. After a frustrating amount of wrong turns and several dead ends, Bulma finally reached her room, only to find a fine mist of steam already enveloping the room, signifying that Vegeta was already in the shower, waiting for her. Wincing, she removed her sticky clothing and shoes and walked quietly to the shower and stepped in, Vegeta moving aside so that the warm water was cascading down over her body invitingly. Vegeta silently grasped the soap and soothingly washed her from head to toe, then dropped gentle kisses on her neck and back as his strong fingers massaged away the knots in her shoulders. As always his touch began to arouse Bulma, wet heat pooling between her legs as his fingers lightly brushed against her sensitive breasts. Bulma succumbed to Vegeta's skilled hands, moving into a better position to allow him to properly attend to her breasts, dragging her fingers down his chest and across his rippled stomach, enjoying the sight of him twitching with the sensations she was giving him, admiring not for the first time, his almost cat like grace as he moved.

As Vegeta lowered his hot mouth to lick at Bulma's now erect nipples, Bulma pushed him against the wall of the shower and trailed her mouth down his chest and belly until she reached his now hardened manhood and teasingly ran her tongue around it's head, before engulfing it fully in her soft mouth, earning a loud grunt of satisfaction from Vegeta as she sucked and licked him, bringing him almost to the point of no return.

Panting slightly, Vegeta pulled Bulma up and pressed her slick curvaceous body gently against the wall and raised one of her legs before lowering his own mouth to the apex of her thighs, finding her centre and tenderly licking, enjoying her gasps of pure pleasure as he too brought her to the very brink, the warm water cascading over both of them, making their skin slick with the water. Vegeta smirked before abruptly moving away and sliding Bulma up the wall, her long legs hooked around his waist as lowered Bulma onto his engorged manhood, both of them groaning with the delicious sensation as Vegeta gently pumped into Bulma's wetness, Vegeta being mindful of her currently fragile state. Bulma fiercely grasped Vegeta's shoulders to keep from falling as Vegeta continued to torture her, suckling at her neck as he pumped.

Vegeta wanted to last as long as possible, enjoying the look of pure rapture on Bulma's face, her eyes closed in ecstasy, panting as she neared her orgasm.

"Look at me, Bulma. I want to see your eyes." Vegeta purred in her ear as he continued to move within her tight wet walls. Slowly Bulma complied, gazing deep into his dark eyes as her release finally came, and she rode it hard, flashes of white light in front of her eyes, tears springing forth unbidden as the words which revealed her true feelings fell from her full lips in a faint whisper. "I love you Vegeta………….."

Vegeta's eyes widened in shock as he heard the words, and not able to withstand the sweet torture any longer released his seed deep within Bulma's womb, shuddering. For several more moments the two lovers remained under the now cooling water, neither willing nor seemingly able to part from each other, Bulma embracing Vegeta forcefully, wanting to keep the sensation's flowing through her body for just a little longer. Vegeta allowed Bulma to cling to him, his head resting on her breasts, feeling her hot tears drop onto his face, listening to her rapid heartbeat, feeling it beat in time to his own previously dead heart. He did not fully understand the words Bulma had let slip from between her lips, but knew instinctively that this was the reason she cried after their heated and passionate encounters and had been suppressing them. Vegeta still did not know the full spectrum of human emotions but deduced that Bulma's feelings for him were not just borne of lust and need or even the strong bond that they had made; that these words meant a great deal to her, his life mate. Vegeta withdrew and lifted Bulma into his arms, holding her close to him, and tenderly licked away her tears. Bulma sniffled and clung to Vegeta like he was a life raft, afraid that he would reject her after such a weak display of her emotions.

He raised Bulma's chin and looked at her tear filled eyes before covering her mouth with his own, and with a gentle passion moved his mouth over hers and reassured her mentally, Bulma, I will keep you from harm and I will never leave you, ever."
