CHAPTER 10: AT CAPSULE CORP.

Marley woke again in a room she didn't recognize. What is it with me and waking up in strange places? She wandered. Then she remembered everything. Ah, why did I tell them that?

"So you are finally awake, huh?" A blue-headed human asked her cheerfully.

"Where am I now?" She asked a little groggily.

"Right now you are in the Capsule Corporation on New Earth, it is about seven days since you landed. To tell you the truth I wasn't sure you were gonna wake up at all. Goku seemed sure you were going to so I believed him of course." The strange blue-headed woman babbled on for a while. "So is it true you are a clone, I'm fascinated in how advanced the technology must have been for them to do that. Oh, no!" she exclaimed blushing, "I'm so rude. Here I am babbling on non-stop and I haven't even introduced myself. I'm Bulma. What is your name?"

"Marley." She said suspiciously.

"Oh, well I really want to talk to you but I should leave you to get cleaned up. Food is down stairs, I have plenty, I know how much you Saiyans eat. Oh, I left you some of Goku's training pants and a shirt, your armor is being cleaned and repaired. You're what, six foot," Marley nodded, "Well your much taller that me, and skinnier, but I think they will fit. See you down stairs."

"Wait," Marley cried out weakly. "That boy of Kakkarot's, Gohan, is he ok?"

Bulma looked at her and smiled. "Gohan? He is fine. In fact, he barely left you're your side while you were out. His mother finally called and told him to go study. If you ask me, he has somewhat of a crush on you! Ha, ha, ha!"

What an odd woman. She smells of Vegeta. I wonder if she is his mate. I'm so hungry. She said it had been a week since I landed, that makes it twelve days from my last meal. I better take a shower first though. What is a crush? It sounds painful. She stood up and looked over at the desk that Bulma woman was sitting at. They had returned her knives.

She walked over to the shower and shed her clothes. All of the wounds she had sustained from Gohan had healed. She stepped in the shower and let the water run over her. My tail is filthy. She meticulously cleaned her tail; it felt nice to be clean. She stepped out and looked at the clothes set out for her. This is what Kakkarot trains in? This place gets weirder and weirder. I mean, I'm wearing Kakkarot's clothes. She frowned and put it on. Marley looked at her knives on the desk and put them on. All eight of them.

She walked down the stairs. She could smell the food from her room, but now that she was so close, her stomach growled and she felt her mouth water. She walked in the room and the Bulma woman ran over to her and said in her happy voice, "So glad to see you up. Wow you really are tall! The kitchen is over here, let me fix you a meal."

Bulma lead her to the kitchen and started making her a sandwich. And then another. And then another. In total Marley ate 87 sandwiches, 23 bags of chips, and 34 glasses of water.

"Wow you sure can eat like a Saiyan!" Bulma said cheerfully. "I hope you don't mind, but I called Goku when you woke up. He still wanted to thank you and ask you some more questions. He'll be here in a few hours. Until then, do what you want. You can eat more or do whatever. I have to do repairs on the GT again. Vegeta keeps breaking that machine. Well, bye!"

And just like that she was off. Marley walked around the house for a while and then stepped outside for a breath of fresh air. New Earth is a beautiful planet I guess. So much has happened in the last week. I should check on the Box. Now that I have the Key I can check on things a little. She powered up a bit so she could fly, but she heard a voice behind her.

"Woman! Where do you think you are going?" I was Vegeta.

She turned on him and glared. "No where now it seems."

He returned her icy stare. "Kakkarot may trust you now, but I don't. If it were up to me you'd be dead. You're a trader and a freak!"

Marley sneered at him and struck a defiant pose. "It seems that the sparrow is accusing the crow of being black, huh Price Vegeta?"

His eyes burned in rage. "You are so lucky Kakkarot seems to like you! Otherwise you would be feasting on earthworms!"

"Is that the best you can do, threats? I've heard them all, don't waste your breath. Actually, I myself wish Kakkarot would turn a blind eye once so I could show you what I'm really made of short man!"

Then they locked eyes is a battle of wills.

"Hey Trunks?" Goten said as he and his best friend were walking home from school, "What do you think Marley and your dad are doing?"

"Oh no! We gotta get over there, they are gonna kill each other!"

Both of the boys took flight to the scene of the "battle," trying to stop the carnage before it started.

"Hey Dad! Stop!" Trunks shouted as they came flying.

Vegeta turned around and stalked back in the house, an evil scowl on his face.

"What was that all about?" Goten asked in amazement, and more than a little fear. She was angry.

"Nothing." Marley said coldly. "Although it seems that Prince Vegeta doesn't care at all for me, not that I'm complaining or anything, but that is the man I owe my allegiance to. Odd that I feel that I should serve him when…" she trailed off, not finishing. "I've got to go."

Gohan flew over and landed on the lawn. He saw Marley walking away, "Hey you two, what it going on?"

Goten smiled and said, "Marley was going to beat Vegeta up!"

"She wasn't! My dad is much stronger than her!" Trunks said.

"Marley, wait!" Gohan yelled and ran after her.

She looked at him and couldn't help thinking how cute he was. "Are you okay?" he asked.

She smiled, actually smiled, and said, "Fine," and jetted off.

"Well that was rude." Trunks said, "You were just being nice."

"She's wonderful," Gohan gasped, suddenly out of breath. His eyes were still on Marley as she left.

"Huh?" Trunks asked.

"Um, well what I meant was, um, that…" He couldn't finish, he was blushing too much.

"You like her!"

"No," Gohan said, a little angry.

"Yes you do."

"No I don't!" Gohan yelled.

"Gohan and Marley," Goten and Trunks started singing simontainously, "sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! First-"

"Shut up!" Gohan said as he stalked into the house.
