Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Dark Appearance: Part 1 ❯ Come on Kakkarot! Is That All You Got? ( Chapter 21 )
CHAPTER 21: COME ON KAKKAROT! IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?
Marley woke up and remembered her sparring session with Goku. She pulled on her black training pants and sport top. She got in the kitchen before everyone else and had a bit to eat. She wasn't hungry, which was weird, but forced down some food and was leaving when Trunks came in.
"Hey, where are you going so early Marley?" he asked groggily.
"I start my training with Kakkarot this morning. And I suggest you begin training harder as well," she smirked.
"Why?"
"I've got to go, I don't like being late."
Marley walked out the door and flew off. As she looked down on Earth she felt herself relax and move with the rhythm of the air currents. She was nearing Goku's house now. She landed in his front yard, walked up to the door and knocked. Chichi answered.
"Hello Marley, it is so nice to see you again!" Chichi smiled and hugged Marley, who returned the hug to her own surprise.
"I don't know if Kakkarot told you, but he asked me to spar with him in the mornings."
"Well he didn't mention it, typical. Oh," she beaconed for Marley to enter and sit on a chair in the living room, "please come in. Well of course he won't tell me, I'm only his wife after all. But you're welcome anytime dear."
"Thank you Chichi."
"I do have one question though, shouldn't you be studying or something?"
"Huh!?!" She almost fell on her face.
"Well you are so very young, surely you're not finished with school yet. I was thinking you should be enrolled."
"I assure you Chichi, I'm older than I look."
"Really, because you look about fourteen."
"I'm nineteen. And I have had sufficient schooling."
"Really." Chichi said in a tone that said she didn't believe the young woman sitting in front of her. "Then what is thirteen by sixty-two?"
"Eight hundred six," Marley answered promptly.
"Nine hundred twenty-four divided by twelve?"
"Seventy-seven. I also speak three hundred fifty-six languages, have studied all forms of science from biology to physics, and am familiar with many forms of philosophy. I believe my education is well rounded and quite complete."
Chichi smiled, a tear in her eye, "Such a smart girl, you could have been a scholar. Why did you become a fighter at all? Oh well what's done is done. Have fun training."
"CHICHI!!!" someone yelled. "Where's my breakfast? I'm hungry…"
"Oh that Goku, sometimes…" she didn't finish her angry sentence. She walked into the kitchen and began yelling at Goku instead.
Marley sat down on the Son's couch, closed her eyes, and relaxed a bit.
"Uh, hey Marley. What are you doing here?"
She heard some one coming down the stairs so she opened one eye and saw it was Gohan. She saw he wasn't wearing a shirt. Yum, she thought to herself, perfect Saiyan build. His skin was perfect and tanned, only a little lighter than hers. He was only slightly taller than her, which surprised her, most Saiyan men were huge, seven feet almost. But she remembered his father was shorter than most too. She smirked and said, "Kakkarot has invited me to spar with him in the mornings."
"Oh, okay." He shrugged. "Come on into the kitchen. Want to have some breakfast?"
"I've eaten."
"Okay."
She closed her eyes again, but when she didn't hear him move she asked, "Was there something else?"
"Um," he fidgeted a bit, looking uncomfortable. He wanted to try out what Vegeta had told him, but it wasn't really his personality. "I've been wanting to talk to you for a while now, but haven't found the time…"
"You know," she interrupted, "before training isn't a good time. I'm training with Kakkarot in the morning and Prince Vegeta in the afternoon. How about later on tonight?" He grew even more uncomfortable. She smiled at this.
"Um…we could grab a bite to eat somewhere?"
She flashed him her sexiest smile and said, "Sounds like a blast."
She was going to have fun with this one.
"Great! Now for food I'm starving!"
They walked into the kitchen and found Goku stuffing his face with food. He and Chichi had stopped fighting. Gohan sat down to eat and Marley sat next to him, drinking a glass of orange juice. She looked over at Goku in disgust. "Kakkarot! You eat like a pig! Learn some manners, and try to chew sometime."
Chichi laughed at this. "Marley, I've been working on his manners for years, believe me, it doesn't get better!"
"And your other children?" she whispered into Chichi's ear. Chichi laughed again. "Gohan is only a little better, but I think Goten may be worse!"
Marley looked at Goten from the corner of her eye and almost puked. Her eyes still wide she said to Goku, "I'll let you finish…eating, if that is what you call it. I'll wait outside."
"Suit yourself!" He said with some food flying out of his mouth.
Goku walked out of the house a few minutes later and said, "Let me stretch and then we'll get going."
"Fine by me." Marley said as she continued her stretching.
Goku finished and said, "Ready."
"I'm ready. Just remember, don't underestimate me. I'll shoot you down if you go easy on me."
"Fine. But we won't fight here. Follow me."
He flew for ten minutes or so and landed in a desert place, perfect for battle.
"For entertainments sake, no using your ki attacks, and no turning Super Saiyan."
"Can we fly?"
"Sure," Goku said. "Sounds good."
"All right Kakkarot, here I come"
She wrapped her tail around her waist and charged in head first, eyes burning like coals. She brought up her fist to strike, Goku put his arms up to guard him self from the brutal attack. But to Goku's surprise it never landed. Instead, Marley appeared behind him and almost succeeded in kicking his back when he to phased out too.
Marley felt a presence to her left and punched into the air where Goku appeared. He dodged this and tried an uppercut, which Marley easily deflected. Marley swiped her hand near Goku's face, it attracted his attention for just one second, enough time for Marley to land a brutal kick to his head. The last kick sent him sailing into a near-by cliff, but Marley didn't let down.
She took this moment of surprise to land a left jab to his face. Goku appeared behind her, taking her by surprise and grabbed her arms behind her back. With an astounding show of flexibility, Marley kicked his face. It sent him flying backwards into another cliff side. This time he recovered faster and charged at his sparring partner with a new rage.
"Come on Kakkarot!" she bellowed as he charged, "Is that all you got!"
Rage flashed in his eyes and he tried another uppercut, unsuccessfully. Marley turned around in attempts of a roundhouse kick, but Goku caught her leg in mid-air and landed a punch to her stomach. Things went on like this for another two hours until Goku broke off their fight.
"We better get going back."
"Why, are you giving up on me Kakkarot?"
"No, it is lunch time!" he shouted gleefully.
Marley almost fell on her face, "Kakkarot! You can't have to eat again!"
"Sure I can," he said joyfully, "Besides, Chichi is expecting me. Do you want to eat something?"
"Argh! Kakkarot! You are so weird!" She looked at him with unbelieving eyes. Then her shoulders fell and she gave up, "Sure, why not?"
When they were back at the house Goku began eating immediately. "You know Marley," Goku said between bites, "you may not be as strong as me, but you're a hell of a lot faster. I never knew people moved that fast."
"Well Kakkarot, I was trained to be faster than my opponents because I'd never be able to out weigh any of them."
"Also you use a lot of kicking attacks, and you're a lot more flexible than me."
"Again, it is because I'm smaller, I have to get every advantage I can. In case you hadn't noticed, I'm a woman, and my upper body isn't as strong as my lower body. So most of my power is in my legs, in hand to hand combat anyway." She replied and looked around for a clock, "I have to go Kakkarot."
She got up. "I can't wait for tomorrow," he said, "bye!"
This could be an interesting waste of my time after all. She thought to herself. As she flew, she went into the regenerative mode that she inherited from Frieza. At least that bastard was good for something. She had only met him once when she was young. By then the only thing he thought of was domination over Kakkarot, but he gave her enough thought to her because she was his new assassin. "My, aren't you a pretty one." She remembered him saying to her when she was a young girl. "Too bad you too young to know pleasure, I'm sure you would have been a fun toy to break." His cold, sick voice resounded in her ears and she tried to shake it. Too bad I haven't gotten to kill you yet, you sick, distorted bastard, she thought.
She walked into the living room at Capsule Corp. No one was there. She tried the GT and found Vegeta training.
