Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fan Fiction ❯ Dark Appearance: Part 1 ❯ You're What!?! ( Chapter 25 )
CHAPTER 25: YOU'RE WHAT!
Marley woke up that morning feeling absolutely wretched. She went into the bathroom and immediately puked up everything in her stomach. It feels like when I drank that brew, alcohol. She got up and looked at her self in the mirror. She looked white and then she puked again. What is wrong with me? Then it hit her.
She ran down stairs to Chichi, "Chichi!" she screeched. "CHICHI!"
The older woman ran out. "I have to leave, but only for a little while. I'm sorry I can't explain now, I'll tell you when I come back!"
She bolted out of the house leaving Chichi with a worried look on her face. She had begun to love the little Saiyan warrior like a daughter and hated seeing her worried.
Marley sped across the sky, not even bothering to cover her ki, she didn't care who knew she was coming. This can't be happening! But I have to know! I don't trust Earth doctors, at least Vegeta will give me the truth.
Marley landed on the Capsule Corp. lawn and began looking for the prince. "Vegeta!" she yelled at the top of her lungs. "VEGETA!"
He came rushing out a window and when he saw it was her, he sneered. "What do you want?"
"Shut up and listen!"
To her surprise he did.
"Look, I don't trust Earth doctors. Plus, I'm a Saiyan, they don't know our physiology, so I came to the only person who I thought would know, you." She paused and took a deep breath, "Vegeta, tell me the truth, am I pregnant?"
He looked at her in surprise, then gained his composure. He placed his hand on her abdomen and closed his eyes. "Yes." He said simply removing his hand.
Her tail fell from its spot on her hips and Marley began to whimper. "H-h-how f-f-far along?" she said.
"I'd say one and a half, two weeks."
She collapsed on the ground, "Boy or girl?" she asked timidly.
"Boy." Marley shuddered and began sobbing again.
"This wasn't supposed to happen!" she wailed.
Vegeta stood there in amazement and placed and hand on her head. Then Bluma ran out to them. "Marley, Marley, child what is wrong?"
Marley looked into her friend's face and sobbed even harder. Bulma sat down next to her and hugged her as she cried. Then suddenly, Marley got up as though in a trance. "I have to go now Bulma. Vegeta can tell you."
She flew off and slowly disappeared over the horizon as the sun came up.
"What did you do to her?" Bulma cried at her husband.
"I didn't do anything her!" he shouted. Then seriously, "But Gohan did."
Marley entered the house and went up to her room. There she saw Chichi straightening up her room, putting things away and such.
"Chichi," she said in a dead voice, "you don't have to do that."
"You left here in such a hurry, I was worried. Are you all right?"
"Yes, Chichi. I need some more sleep, could I tell you when I wake up?"
"Of course, dear!"
Chichi looked down at the younger woman who had crawled under her covers to sleep and smiled a melancholy smile. She turned off the light and shut the door.
"Goku! If you bother that girl with training today, I will kill you!"
"But Chichi," he argued, "I don't have any one to spar with. It is nearly time for Goten to get home and Gohan is going to be late and I haven't trained at all!"
"Too bad! You won't go near her today! If you do, be prepared to cook for yourself for the rest of your life!"
Goku shut up at this and left his fuming wife to go outside to wait for Gohan to come home. A few minutes later, Gohan came out in search of his dad. "Hey Dad, what is wrong with Mom? She seemed, snappy."
"I don't know, she said we can't disturb Marley with training. I tried to tell her I had to train," he scratched the back of his neck, "but she said I'd have to cook for myself if I even talked to Marley, I hope she's okay."
"M- Marley isn't feeling well? Is she sick? Will she be okay?" he fired questions at his father who just looked at him stupidly and shrugged. Gohan was about to explode when his mother came out and said, "Marley wants to talk to you Gohan."
He nodded his thanks and flew into the guesthouse window. "Marley," he called out timidly.
She was sitting on the bed. He rushed over to her and fell on his knees before her, taking her hands. "Gohan," she said managing a weak smile. "I have something I need to tell you."
"Are you going to be alright Marley?" he asked in a worried voice. Tears built in her eyes as she looked at him. She bit her bottom lip to stop the tears from coming, but one fell anyway.
"Gohan, I'm not sure how to tell you this."
"What is it? You can tell me Marley."
"Gohan, I'm pregnant."
He got up, dropping her hands, and backed off a few steps. His face was filled with shock. "Did I?"
"Yes."
"I don't know what to say, I'll do what ever you tell me Marley."
She got up and ran over to him wrapping her arms around him. He hesitantly put his arms around her. "Gohan," she said, "will you stay with me and the baby, I don't want him to grow up without a father."
"Of course I'll stay. I'll stay with you forever. Nothing would make me happier. It is a boy?"
"Oh yes, a strong Saiyan boy."
She sobbed into his chest for a moment and then looked up into his face. He hated seeing her cry. He wiped the tears from her eyes. "Don't cry Marley, it kills me when you do. I love you."
She sniffed and smiled a bit, "I love you Go-chan."
He kissed her passionately and when he broke it she snuggled against his neck.
"We have to tell my parents, you know?"
"Yeah. I thought you'd want to."
"Why not tonight at dinner?"
Personally she would let then figure it out themselves, but these people had traditions. She smiled in agreement. Then she said, "Gohan, what do you want to name him?"
Chichi set the food out on the table and immediately Goku started scarfing it down. Chichi began to eat. Dinner passed quietly until Chichi noticed something, two of her Saiyans were not eating. "What is wrong with you two?" she asked, a little angry that she wasn't in on the latest information. There was obviously something going on between the two, she thought they were dating, but she wasn't sure.
"Um, Mom. We want to tell you something, but don't get upset-"
"I'm pregnant." Marley interrupted.
Even Goku stopped eating. Chichi's mouth dropped open and let out a little noise.
"Mom, try not to get angry, Marley and I love each other. We'd start a family and move out if you wanted."
"I'm going to have a grandchild?" she asked.
Gohan nodded and gulped. Slowly a smile crossed Chichi's face and she laughed evilly. "Chichi Son wins again! First to have a child and first to have a grandchild!" she laughed again.
"What is wrong with your mother Gohan?" Marley asked quietly.
"She's kind of competitive about things like this, and cooking." Goku answered. "I guess I'm gonna be a grandfather. Ha, Grandpa Goku!"
Chichi had stopped laughing. "You two have a lot of nerve not telling me you were dating! And Gohan, you better take care of her!" After she had stopped her rant she smiled and a tear ran down her cheek, "My little boy is growing up, oh Goku!"
Goku, who had started eating again stopped, "What is wrong Chichi?"
"I'm so happy! I've got to call Bulma!"
After dinner Gohan sat on the front porch with Marley lying in his lap. Gohan was absently stroking her belly as they talked.
"That went better than I thought it would. I was pretty sure my mom was going to kill me."
"She seemed very happy…I think." Marley replied.
"Marley, I don't have a ring or anything right now, but would you marry me?"
"I suppose. I don't know what this `marry' is though."
"It is an Earth tradition that binds you to me and me to you."
"That sounds fun, but we are already married, by Saiyan standards."
"Huh?"
"Well did you or did you not bite my neck the night you slept with me?"
"Yes," he said and grinned.
"Well then you, on a Saiyan level, claimed me. And then I bit you back, accepting you as my mate. Didn't you know?"
"Well yeah, kind of. I asked Vegeta about it."
"Well, I don't know that much about it because I didn't grow up on Planet Vegeta, and I wasn't exposed to it anyway. I believe though that it bonds us on an emotional and physical level, I get hurt you get hurt, etc. Um, oh, and when you bit me again, opening the wound, you renew the bond making it stronger. I also think we a can communicate with each other in our minds, but that may be fictional."
"Wow, talk about intense."
"Oh and one more thing, I get to do this when ever I want." She pulled him down to her and kissed him.
"I think you made that part up," he chided her.
"Wouldn't you like to know?"
